Didula biography family. Didyulya's family - life in the rhythm of music and sports! Sound in sound: Experiments by Valery Didyulya

Valery Mikhailovich Didyulya is a famous Belarusian musician who is the leader of the group “Didyulya”. Having become a popular person on the Belarusian and Russian stage, Didyulya found many fans among our compatriots. Many are interested in learning the biography of the singer and his marital status. Few people know whether their favorite artist has a wife and children. We will tell everything that the press knows about this musician.

The musical performer was born in the city of Grodno on January 24, 1969. Here he went to 1st grade and for the first time picked up the guitar that his mother gave him. Then the little boy did not yet know how dramatically this gift would change his life.

The teachers who taught Valery were amazed at how deftly the boy handled the guitar. Many even then saw him as a future musician.

As soon as Valery got a guitar, he began to spend all his free time with it. The future musician studied new ways of playing, watched how famous performers played, and experimented.

Perhaps it was then that Valery’s unusual performance style arose. Let us remind you that the compositions performed by Didyulya are folk and fusion with the influence of the New Age style.

First professional steps

Valery decided not to give up on his dream of becoming a professional musician and tried to do everything possible to get noticed. His efforts were not in vain. The young man was invited to work in the Scarlet Sails group. It was led by Nikolai Khitrik. The group traveled with performances to a wide variety of cities. Somewhat later, “Scarlet Sails” began performing at the cooperative restaurant.

The ensemble disbanded with the collapse of the USSR. The team members realized that each of them had a wide field for self-expression. It is worth noting that not all participants in “Scarlet Sails” subsequently connected their lives with music. Some opened their own businesses, while others left the country altogether.

Work in the ensemble "White Dews"

Further, the future musical performer “Didyulya” connected his biography with the ensemble “White Dews”. At that time, Valery did not think about family - he did not want to have a wife and children. It was important for the artist to realize himself professionally.

“White Dews” - an ensemble of the city of Grodno - gave Valery a chance to try himself in a new field of activity. Here he worked not only as a musical performer, but also as a sound engineer.

The members of the group performed folk songs of Ukraine, Poland and Belarus. In the future, Didyulya will use playing folk style as the basis for his solo work.

The ensemble in which Valery worked turned out to be in demand in Western Europe. Here the musician discovered a new interesting sound in music - flamenco. When Valery became an independent performer, he began to often use these motifs in his songs.

Formation of a singer’s own style

In 2000, Valery acquired his own unique style of performing musical compositions. It markedly distinguished him from other guitar-playing musicians.

Valery gathered a group of like-minded people and became a solo artist. His team has traveled to many CIS countries. The audience always warmly welcomed Didula. Many found and still find his performance style very unusual.

Some sources indicate that Valery had “guardians”, without whom he would hardly have been able to make it to the big stage. Of course, the man has talent. However, this is sometimes not enough to become recognizable and in demand. Under the patronage of Minsk businessman Igor Bruskin and composer Oleg Eliseenko, Valery moved to Minsk.

Valery Didulya with his team "DiDyuLya"

The artist almost immediately began to be invited to perform at the most famous venues in the city. Valery was also offered to take part in various music competitions, thanks to which he grew as a professional artist.

Somewhat later, Didyulya accepted the offer to participate in the Slavic Bazaar festival. This gave a powerful impetus to the further development of the musician’s career.

How the artist’s life changed after the festival

Participation in “Slavic Bazaar” radically changed Didyulya’s biography. Now that he was noticed, Moscow also opened its doors for Valery. Here the artist was able to find even more opportunities to realize his musical talent.

The musician recorded his first studio album in 2000. Somewhat later, Didyulya released his first music video. Many Russian stars wanted to collaborate with Valery. The man understood - here it is, a real resounding success.

In 2002, Didyulya’s second album was released. Valery called it “The Road to Baghdad.” Even later, the album “Satin Shores” was born.

Music like 25th frame

Valery Didyulya is known for studying music like 25 frames. The musician is confident that the sounds that viewers hear can influence their psychological state. Valery has been studying exactly how this happens for a long time. According to the musician, listening to special musical compositions causes a surge of energy that has a positive effect on a person’s subconscious. In addition, it drives away negative thoughts. This opinion was reached not only by the musical performer, but also by some scientists.

Didyulya's work with foreign performers

Valery Didyulya works not only with the stars of domestic show business, but also with the stars of foreign scenes. For example, in 2010 Valery managed to establish cooperation with a Canadian partner. Especially for this, he created DiDuLa Entertainment In, which should popularize his music in Canada and the USA.

In addition, the musician re-released one of his most successful music albums for the West.

How many collections has the music artist released?

Currently, the singer has released three collections, including:

  1. 2003 The Best collection (also known as Satin Shores) (Audio CD).
  2. 2006 Collection Grand Collection (Audio CD, MP3 CD).
  3. year 2013. Collection “DiDuLa. 100 best songs (MP3 CD)".

It is worth noting that Valery Mikhailovich is known not only as a musical performer, but also as a producer. So far he has only two similar works to his credit:

  • 2008: Denis Asimovich - “Hommage to Cheslav Drozdievich”.
  • 2012: Igor Dedusenko - “Prayer”.

Let us add that Didyulya’s compositions were used as soundtracks in some domestic films.

What is Valery doing now?

Despite the fact that Valery has long been established as a professional musician, he continues to look for ways to express himself in music. The artist wants to bring his playing to the highest possible perfection. Now Didyulya is engaged in writing music that has a beneficial effect on the health of listeners.

Every year Valery gives more than 120 concerts for his fans. In addition, he releases new albums and produces other music artists. His work is in demand by listeners and highly appreciated by music critics.

An interesting fact from Didyulya’s life - he managed to try himself as an actor. Valery starred in A. Konchalovsky’s “House of Fools.”

The artist is a very calm and balanced person. Unlike other musicians performing on the domestic stage, Valery never became the hero of gossip and discussion (except for the case with his ex-wife). He splashes out his energy during performances.

Does the artist have a family?

Fans of Didula are interested not only in his creative path, but also in whether the musical performer has a family, namely a wife or children.

The press interprets information about Didyulya’s personal life differently. The musical performer does not like to talk about his marital status. The media, most likely, knows more about speculation about the artist’s personal life than the true facts.

Some sources indicate that Didyulya was previously married to Leila Khamrabaeva. In this marriage, the artist had a son and daughter. Some time later the couple broke up. However, Leila still cannot come to terms with the fact that her once beloved man left her. The woman wants to receive as much child support as possible. Leila spreads information that Valery did not give a penny for his son and daughter. In fact, the performer pays for a comfortable life for his children and ex-wife.

In 2016, several articles appeared in the press about Didyulya’s marital status. Journalists wrote that Leila was invited to take part in the filming of the “We Talk and Show” program, where she told how she lives in complete poverty. According to Valery’s ex-wife, the man refuses to pay child support. Leila is barely making ends meet. She lives with her children in a rented apartment and barely provides for her son and daughter. According to data for 2016, Didyulya must pay his ex-wife 2 million 300 thousand rubles. It is possible that this amount has increased significantly today.

Lawyers argued that Valery had completely repaid his “debt” to his ex-wife. They insisted that Didyulya was clean before the law. Allegedly, in fact, Leila appropriates the amounts of transfers received from the musician to herself, presenting the artist in a negative light.

What's going on in Didyuli's personal life now?

Now Valery has a new family. His new wife's name is Evgenia. She sings in the Didyuli group. Valery calls his beloved a muse. He says that this girl inspires him to new musical works. It is known that Valery had a daughter in his marriage to Evgenia. Didula is happy with his new family.

It is unknown how Evgenia reacts to the music artist’s ex-wife. Since the man has children from a previous marriage, he probably wants to communicate with them. Fans of Didyulya are wondering whether this fact from Valery’s biography confuses his new wife. After all, many women do not like it when their husbands devote a large amount of time to their previous family. Evgenia prefers to remain silent about this. The interview with her did not appear in the media at all. Unfortunately, the press was unable to find out more detailed information about the music artist’s wife.

Photo: Valery Didulya - popular musician

Now Valery is not ready to openly tell fans how he lives with Evgenia, and also where he met this girl. It is possible that they were connected by their love of music and work. It is worth noting that information about the marriage of the music artist did not appear in the media. Perhaps Valery and Evgenia live in a civil marriage.

Biography, life story of Didyulya

Didulya Valery Mikhailovich - Belarusian musician, composer, virtuoso guitarist, leader of the group "Didyulya" (flamenco, new age, folk, rock, ethnic motifs).

Childhood and youth

Didula was born on January 24, 1969 in the city of Grodno. This Belarusian town is beautiful with its architecture and rich in musical traditions. The borders with Poland and Lithuania are nearby, resulting in great cultural interaction. The city is home to many nationalities: Poles, Jews, Lithuanians, Belarusians, Russians, Ukrainians. The city is interesting, pleasant, and only warm memories remain about it.

Valery's mother gave him his first guitar when he was five years old. The interest in the instrument was unusual, maybe because there was always someone strumming a guitar in the yard, or maybe because I was generally drawn to music. Like every child, Didula had all sorts of record players as a child, which also had a fairly strong influence. With the very first guitar came the first unobtrusive experiments with sound: a sensor was placed on the guitar, homemade amplifiers were turned on, and all sorts of gadgets were made. For Didyulya, a period of guitar courses began: the teacher showed what chords existed, how to play, what manners and playing techniques existed. This was the beginning, the first steps in mastering the guitar.

The desire to experiment with the guitar was unquenchable, the guys attended concerts, watched how they played at weddings, and how all this happened in general - it was exciting and had a serious influence on interests and ideas. Valery and his friends, who were also interested in the guitar, showed each other new achievements, competed, which naturally pushed them, forced them to work and keep themselves in suspense.

Creative path

Years passed, experiments continued, and the first group appeared. Didula was taken into the vocal-instrumental ensemble "Scarlet Dawns" as the third guitarist. There were many people in the ensemble - an expanded composition, it had its own wind section and keyboard instruments. Concerts were held on collective and state farms, as well as in the city. Nikolai Khitrik, the permanent leader of the ensemble, and work there gave Valery a lot of experience and important performances. In the process, several people filtered out, after which the performances continued at a local cooperative restaurant. It was an amazing school: six hours of play every evening, seven days a week, almost without breaks; A variety of music was played. This could be called the first serious school, where Didyuley acquired basic knowledge and skills of speaking in front of the public. In addition, he earned his first money, which he was very proud of, because making money doing what you love is everyone’s dream.

But the ensemble fell apart, after which Valery Didyulya began a period of work as a sound engineer. He joined the dance ensemble "White Dews" - a very serious, authoritative group in Grodno, which had touring experience and success. Various music was played, sung and danced, mostly folk dances - Polish, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Gypsy. The team was large and diverse, where Didyulya became a sound engineer - an important and responsible job, and at the same time very interesting. Although during the work I had to learn a lot: how to make sound, how different instruments sound, how the public generally accepts this or that act. After all, a sound engineer, sitting in a concert hall, feels like no one else what is happening on stage, what is the reaction of the audience in the hall, which numbers are better received, which ones are worse, how the sound affects the viewer. The subtle psychological moments of the concert are what Didyula managed to learn while working in this group. Huge experience was also gained from communicating with the musicians - they were people who had gone through thick and thin, with a strong academic education, who played folk music like no one else. The ensemble’s touring activities had a very strong influence on Didyulya’s further work, because the tours took place both in his homeland and abroad.

With this group, Didyulya visited Europe for the first time - Spain, Italy, Poland, Switzerland, France, Germany. The diversity of people and traditions of these countries made an indelible impression. Working with this group, Valery went to Spain, where he became acquainted with the flamenco style and the Spanish folk tradition. Although he had previously been interested in and studied their music, delving into it, it was only in Spain that it became clear to him. The ensemble spent quite a lot of time there, acquiring various musical instruments there. Also, during his stay in Spain, Didyulya organized street concerts, which gave him a lot of experience and training.

While working in the ensemble, Didulya communicated not only with musicians, but also with dancers and choreographers; it was a dance ensemble, after all. The first serious composer experiments began there. Having a good technological base in the ensemble, Valery began to record more or less professionally. It was there that his first recordings and first ideas for concerts began to be born. At first there was collaboration with dancers, then I met the wonderful guitarist Vladimir Zakharov, the wonderful dancer and choreographer Dmitry Kurakulov. This is how a dance and music trio and an excellent concert program were created. The period in "Belye Rosy" was a time of ideas, the atmosphere of the team, communication with interesting people, and tours were very influential.

After some time, Didyulya learned that Belarusian television was holding a competition where interesting young performers of different genres were invited. If you pass the qualifying round, great prospects will open up. He decided to try, and, having collected his things and tools with Dima Kurakulov, he went to another city, where the competition was held. Valery and Dima passed the qualifying round, after which they were invited to filming. It was a great inspiration; the preparation for filming was very serious. To his surprise, having played some of the acoustic things he was accustomed to, Didyulya went through the next round and got to the gala concert. This was a great victory and success - the dream of a large audience came true. There we met professional directors and editors; they helped, shared their own experience, pointed out what we should strive for and in what direction to work. The talented Belarusian composer Oleg Eliseenkov played an important role in promoting Didyulya at the competition. His help was simply invaluable, his advice was accurate and useful.

But the scope of a sound engineer is becoming too narrow for Didyulya - he wants to do what he loves - guitar, composition, sound, arrangement, his own original music. And at the invitation of businessman and pianist Igor Bruskin, he moves to Minsk. Bruskin owns a music salon that sells various instruments. Didulya is engaged in consultations and sales there, working with various musical equipment, often travels to Moscow, where, interacting with recording studios, concert halls and other musical organizations where this equipment was supplied, he gains useful experience.

Unexpectedly, following the television competition, a small program was organized at the very large festival “Slavic Bazaar”, where all the artists who participated in the television competition were invited. Finally, it became possible to make a more serious statement about ourselves - the festival was broadcast to all CIS countries, as well as to Poland, the Baltic states and Bulgaria. This gives Didula a great incentive to continue working in the direction in which it was carried out, builds a clear position - studying instrumental music, guitar, guitar aesthetics, and all this under the slight influence of folk music. Didyulya also tried to mix electronic music into this to some extent. Visiting the Slavic Bazaar remained a good tradition, even after Didyulya moved to Moscow. This period is characterized by Didyulya working closely with local choreographers, creating unusual and interesting numbers.

But Moscow attracts with its diversity and great prospects. Valery Didyulya warmly says goodbye to Igor Bruskin and moves to Moscow. At first it was very difficult, because the capital is very specific - it has its own customs, principles, traditions. For a newcomer, this is a completely unusual and unfamiliar city, different people. But the goal, stubbornness in achieving it and faith in success greatly helped to overcome difficulties. The Arbat period began - performances on the street, but not of a ragged street artist, but of a professional musician with good technique and appearance, who played, first of all, for his own pleasure. Here Didyulya met many people, including Sergei Kulishenko, who at that time held a high commercial position. Although Didyulya did not easily get close to strangers, against the backdrop of the difficulties that arose, he had to make a choice: either call someone he met, or leave Moscow.

The first person Valery Didyulya called was Sergei Kulishenko. Sergei wanted to learn to play the guitar, so Didyulya got his first student. Sergei also showed interest in Didyulya’s activities, helped with housing and instruments, and paid for the first professional recording at the studio of the wonderful guitarist Mei Lian. A high-quality home recording studio determined the direction of Didyulya’s further work. Mei Lian's recording went well - eight compositions were recorded, technically everything was at the highest level, although artistically it was not the same. Didulya very warmly recalled his communication with Mei Lian, a talented guitarist and composer, a good teacher and a respected friend.

Didyulya, together with Sergei, began to develop the issue of creating their own home recording studio and explored the market for musical equipment. A set of equipment was formed and installed in Sergei’s country house. Serious systematic work began in the field of sound, guitar, exercises, classes, and search. An interesting acquaintance began with the popular music performer Arkady. He was an interesting Samara musician, singer, composer; Their joint club performances with Didula began.

Through Arkady, I met Sergei Migachev, a sound producer, arranger, a person who understands music and is familiar with both modern computer and analog technologies. After a year of hard work together under the leadership and help of Sergei Kulishenko, the debut album was recorded and the first video clip “Isadora” was shot. But Didyulya received a refusal from major record companies: they all claimed that instrumental music was not for Russia, that this genre was not interesting. There was no financial opportunity to show their music to a large public, which put Didyulya’s company at a dead end and did not inspire optimism. At one of the club concerts, I met a man who is now quite famous; he became interested in music and performance. He invited Didyula to meet at the office of the Monolit company and talk about cooperation. The company management, having listened to the material, after much deliberation, refused. The interest was inspiring, and Valery Didyulya began to focus on performing in clubs. By performing and analyzing what the audience liked best, Didulya was able to adjust his album and achieved an interesting, unusual sound from his guitar. At one of the regular concerts, Didyula was approached by people who invited him to negotiations with the Global Music company. The company became interested in the project and agreed to cooperate. Didyulya's first contract was signed. But, unfortunately, things did not go any further: for unknown reasons, the company was not active in its work.

Six months of cooperation were not in vain: Valery Didyulya met Timur Salikhov, the director. This man is ideal for his job - professional acumen and subtle diplomacy. The contract with Global Music was terminated. After some time, Didyula received a call from the Russian Studio and offered to place one of the compositions in the collection. In the office where the meeting was scheduled, Didyulya was able to talk with Prigozhin, a young, acumen specialist. He said that he was creating a new company, Knox Music, and he was interested in new projects and would like to collaborate. It didn’t take much thought to answer – Didyulya agreed. The materials were reviewed, the direction of further work was discussed and a contract was signed. Filming of a new video with the participation of the Todes ballet began immediately. A record and design were prepared; advertising began, the debut album was released. Work was started to introduce an unusual genre of instrumental music. Video clips began to be shown on television, and Didyulya also took part in the original “Anthropology” program, where he managed to perform, talk, and introduce viewers to the record. After this, more serious sales of the album began.

This period of Didyuli’s work is also associated with acquaintance with truly world-famous stars: Placido Domingo,. An idea appears about working together with, the goal is to record several songs, Didulya acts as a composer, arranger and producer. The work is going very successfully in tandem from Sergei Migachev and Didyuli and is developing into a large-scale project. The circle of acquaintances with artists is expanding, young performers, bright and interesting people, are being attracted to work. Touring activities are expanding, new cities and clubs are being included. During these tours, new instruments are acquired, as well as experience and ideas, which benefits creativity.

The album "Road to Baghdad" (2002) is born. Complications appear in relations with Prigozhin and his company, Knox Music. At the same time, he became acquainted with and filmed Didyulya in his film “House of Fools”. During the filming, DiDuLya worked with, who also took part in the film. In the film, Didyulya played a guitarist, or, more simply, he played himself.

Soon, pirated copies of discs began to appear - undoubtedly, one of the types of recognition for the artist. At one of the concerts, Didyuli invited him to release an instrumental piece together. Didulya agreed, the idea of the work was born quite quickly, and thus the composition “Satin Shores” was created. In the same vein, collaboration with , a joint composition was born.

The geography of Didyulya's performances expanded and the level became higher. He continued to participate in television programs and various concerts. A period of more serious concert work began, and Diduyaya decided to create his own team, his own group. Recruitment has begun: a bass player (Yaroslav Oboldin), a keyboard player (Alexander Leonov), a percussionist (Kirill Rossolimo), and a sound engineer (Boris Solodovnikov) have been invited. The group rehearsed, a program was prepared, consisting partly of new, partly of old music, supplemented with new colors. There was a search for my own style, studio experiments continued.

In 2004, the album "Legend" was released. Two years later, “Cave City Inkerman” and “Colored Dreams” appeared. In 2007, Valery Didyulya released the album “Music of Unmade Movies”, and in 2010 he presented “Aroma”. In 2012, the album “Ornamental” went on sale, in 2013 – the album “Once Upon a Time Today”, in 2017 – the album “Aquamarine”.

In 2013, Valery Didyulya and Belarusian singer Max Lawrence applied to participate in the national qualifying round of the Eurovision Song Contest from Belarus. Alas, Didula never managed to get into the competition.

Personal life

For several years, Valery Didyulya was married to Leila Khamrabaeva, a native of Tajikistan. The couple had a son together. In addition, Didula adopted his beloved’s daughter from her first husband.

After the divorce, Valery’s communication with the children came to naught and paternal care was limited only to the payment of alimony. By the way, there is an unpleasant story connected with this. One day, Leila appeared in the studio of the talk show “We Speak and Show” and stated that Valery had not given her a penny for the children for a long time, which is why they had to live in a tiny rented apartment and subsist on bread and water. Didyulya issued a refutation and said that he had no debt to his ex-wife. The musician’s words were documented by his lawyer. Valery's friends also came to his defense and even noted that Didyulya would gladly take part in raising Leila's children, but she does not allow him.

After the concert in Odessa, we had time to talk with an extraordinary Belarusian artist - Valery Didyulya. Once again he confirmed that Odessa residents are spoiled spectators, but also noted that we have the most beautiful girls and invited us to visit a Moscow store of the 21st century. We also learned that the performer does not allow anyone into his personal life and encourages him to buy guitars for his children.

Weekend.od.ua: Valery, what are your impressions of the Odessa public? Didula: Of course I like it. The viewer is musical, spoiled by concerts, different artists, and definitely stars. There’s also a lot going on here in the summer, because it’s a beach area, a good resort town, and in the winter and other off-seasons. The city is spoiled by concerts, so it took us a long time to get to Odessa, gradually, little by little. At first she tried us out, in my opinion, back in 2003 or 2004, but then we already got a taste and enjoyed the Odessa residents, and I hope they like us. From year to year we come with big, good concerts and in the fall or spring and summer we come to Arcadia, delighting the wonderful residents and guests of this city with our performances. So the friendship took place.

Weekend.od.ua: What do you like about Odessa itself? Didula: Of course, I like the sea. I miss it a little in Moscow; in summer I like the airy, carefree atmosphere, beautiful girls in Odessa. Here I am looking at you, and there is confirmation of this - your eyes are so playful, beautiful, such a slender red-haired beast in the good sense of the word. All this catches your eye, namely beauty and cheerfulness, but at the same time the city is experienced, it has everything: wealthy people, creative potential, selective spectators. There is an opportunity to hold good concerts, light, sound, and in general the ambiance of the city is bright and you know Odessa has a great future, because it is a port and cultural center. Many interesting artists came out of here. In short, he said a lot of good things.

Weekend.od.ua: You have a large group of musicians, do improvisations often happen at concerts? Didyulya: Of course, there is a lot of improvisation. In a live, high-energy concert, so cheerful and percussive, it’s not even a concert anymore, it’s more like they came to play, and then the audience turned up. In fact, there is a very light atmosphere, everything is very easy on the surface, but inside there is very coordinated work, a lot of work, sweat, effort, rehearsals, and touring experience is behind it. The apotheosis of all this is the concert, but we definitely get pleasure, of course, a lot of improvisation and polished, which are orchestrated to the microsecond and a lot of light and free, sudden, unexpected. This is an absolutely live action, no conventions, only open creativity.

Weekend.od.ua: Has your first guitar survived? Didyulya: Of course, in the city of Grodno, in my apartment, which we did not sell. She stayed there, sometimes she waits for me there when I come to travel around Belarus, stop in my hometown and there, in one of the rooms, is my old Cremona guitar. Standing there, of course, it broke - it did not stand the test of time. In any case, this tool is there, I take care of it.

Weekend.od.ua: How do you rest and relax? Didyulya: Nature, communication, a little sports, cycling, swimming, I like to drive, walks. Even today we came to the sea, ate there, admired the sea, went to the beach, and there were already people sunbathing, the traffic was so summer. I don’t need a lot to be happy; I find something unique in little things – it saves me. A child's view of life sometimes makes it possible to be inspired, rest, recover, change your mood and go on stage again and again.

Weekend.od.ua: Where do you get your creative energy from? Didula: It could be a journey, people, situations, a beautiful melody, a good deed, a hug, maybe a look, an anecdote or, on the contrary, negative, but it will change something in yourself and you get a creative revelation. Therefore, my whole life inspires me, and is the most important inspiring factor. Of course, there is also music, there are also things that are beyond words, that are difficult to talk about. All the same, the life around us turns into music and, probably, that’s why the viewer wants to hear it, comes to the concert, buys tickets and that evening people come and spend two and a half hours of their life time trying to touch creativity, where there is no a single word, but there is a lot of emotion, energy, message, melodies, music, and most importantly there is pure, frank live playing. It costs a lot.

Weekend.od.ua: You have been on stage for more than ten years. In your opinion, what is the secret of such success? Didula: Lively, fair game. In general, the concept of success is vague for me, it is not clear to me. We were born, we have a guitar, we have the opportunity to write and compose music - this is already success. If there is a public resonance, and spectators come in different cities and countries, this is what I expected twenty years ago. There is also an idea for the future, this is normal, expected, and I am very calm about this: both applause and failures, setbacks - everything should happen. In fact, nothing changes - the same music, melodies, guitar, and the same desire to create an interesting and musical mood around yourself. This desire is in me and to this day I go on stage with it.

Weekend.od.ua: With such creative energy, do you have time for your personal life? Didyulya: Personal life is such a territory, such an island or island, into which I do not allow anyone. Of course, time remains. Personal territory requires a very reverent, careful, careful attitude towards oneself, but there must be a personal life. I say this to my musicians and colleagues, but I am a workaholic, I devote a lot of energy to my work, but of course there is personal space, time, there is a disconnect from music. I say: “I’ve flown away, I’ve left, I’ll be gone for a month,” and everyone knows that Didyulya won’t be there, he decided to relax with someone or alone. This also happens sometimes.

Weekend.od.ua: You have rather unusual platform shoes, is this a stage look or everyday shoes? Didyulya: I’m not tall, so the platform is no, it’s not a complex. I got rid of them many years ago, when the first albums appeared, small movements, more intense, and the complexes evaporated, I stopped paying attention to them. In fact, I am very unusual, both the music, the shoes, the costumes, the movements, the gait, the plasticity, that is, the sound production. I read that they write in the press that this detachment is evidence that I am stoned, sniffed, but in fact I am passionate about music. I live very freely, I can allow myself fantasies, whims, and emotions. Although I came to all this only after a while. By the way, if you like these shoes, come to Moscow, I’ll give you a tour of the 21st century store – that’s what it’s called! There are a lot of interesting things there, not just similar shoes!

Weekend.od.ua: What do you wish to our readers? Didula: I wish you good music, buy guitars for your children, let them play, go to music schools, touch the great and wonderful musical culture. Let them come to our concerts, Didula will be glad to see everyone. See you in the summer, during good weather, when there is beach season and the sea is warm. We will come and delight Odessa residents with good music on such a nice summer evening.

Childhood

The famous artist was born on January 24, 1969 (48 years old) in the city of Grodno, Belarusian Republic (then still part of the USSR). Parents Mikhail Antonovich and Galina Petrovna had nothing to do with musical activity. Mom was an accountant in the catering industry, dad was a highly qualified mechanic. No matter what little Valera was interested in, he always found support in the family. This is probably why, seeing her son’s interest in music, his mother gave him a toy guitar for his fifth birthday, which was very similar to a real one. In addition to the guitar, Valery was interested in chess, radio, and swimming. But most of all he was drawn to music. It was the support of his parents, according to Didyulya, that became the impetus for his musical achievements.

First steps to success

As a teenager, Valery received a real guitar as a gift from his parents. By this time his hobby had become serious. He learned to play the guitar and experimented with sounds at home. Then I started trying various devices: sensors, pads, sound amplifiers. He was very diligent in his hobby, constantly honing his skills in playing the guitar. Even his teachers were surprised by this. The future musician’s friends were also fond of this instrument, so they always had an unspoken competition: who would play better, who would play more interestingly. This went on for several years.

Carier start

In the BSSR there was the VIA “Scarlet Dawns”, which was quite popular in Soviet times. Working as a guitarist in an ensemble became Didyulya’s first place of realization as a musician. They toured the entire republic with concerts. This work taught Valery to behave with dignity in front of the public. Many hours of performances honed skills and developed endurance. But with the collapse of the USSR, the creative team also disintegrated. The guys left in search of more promising work, and only Valery continued to play the guitar.

Didyulya’s next musical experience was the dance ensemble “White Dews”. This team was famous and successful. The guys mainly danced folk Polish, Belarusian, Ukrainian, and Gypsy dances. Here Valery worked as both a guitarist and a sound engineer. He liked folk music, and later its motives could be heard in the musician’s own works. Sound engineering work was very responsible. It was necessary to figure out what not only a guitar sounds like, but also the entire arsenal of musical instruments used at concerts. It was also necessary to adjust the sound so that it was presented favorably to the viewer and blended harmoniously with the dance. At performances, Didula observed the reaction of the audience: what went well and what needed to be improved. So he saw the preferences of the public, adapting to them. This experience will also be very useful to the musician in his creative development.

Valery went on numerous tours with the ensemble. He visited European countries: Spain, Italy, Poland, Switzerland, France, Germany. And each one left a strong, indelible impression. But he especially fell in love with Spain with its flamenco style.

Working in an ensemble and communicating with professional musicians, Didulya discovers his talent as a composer for the first time and even thinks about solo performances. The very atmosphere of the ensemble - many talented, young, bright people, the love of the public, tours - inspired young Valera Didyulya to develop and succeed.

Through hardship to the stars

While working in the White Dew ensemble, Valery came across an advertisement for a competition held for young performers. The advertisement promised great prospects for the participants who made it to the finals. He took a risk by going to try his luck in another city where the filming took place. And to my surprise, Not only passed the qualifying round, but also got to the gala concert. Dreams of a solo career began to come true. The competition gave him many useful contacts. Professional directors, editors, and producers shared their experiences and gave practical advice.

Minsk businessman and musician Igor Bruskin, after becoming acquainted with Didyuli’s work, gives him a job in his salon where musical instruments are sold. Frequent business trips to Moscow for the purpose of selling instruments to various recording companies provide guitarist Didula with new invaluable experience. In addition, he gives small concerts in Minsk. His music is a combination of folk motifs, Spanish flamenco style with the addition of electronic processing. The style of performance of Didyuli’s compositions has already become definitive. He is slowly but surely moving towards his dream of recording an album.

Unexpectedly, fate gives Valery a very successful and life-changing chance. Participants in the television competition in which Didyulya participated were invited again to participate in the large-scale Slavic Bazaar festival. This was a great opportunity to express yourself and your creativity. After the performance, he was invited to work in Moscow, and he agreed. Life in Moscow became a difficult test for the guitarist. The producers rejected him, citing the fact that playing the guitar was not in demand by the public and would not bring success. Didula had to earn a living by street performances. Only acquaintance with the then influential Muscovite Sergei Kulishenko helped Valery Didyula stay in Moscow. Sergei asked the musician to give him guitar lessons for money. He also sponsored the release of the guitarist's first album at the Mei Liana recording studio. This famous guitarist soon helped Valery organize his home studio. Thus began the real work of composer and virtuoso guitarist Valery Didyulya.

Success

Didyulya's first album did not inspire enthusiasm among major record companies, and there was no money for a solo concert. But this did not stop the musician. When performing in clubs, Didulya adjusted his music, taking into account the preferences of the public. Valery was helped in his work by the talented musician Sergei Migachev. At one of the performances, representatives of the Global Music company approached Didula and invited him for an interview. This is how the first contract appeared.

But the collaboration did not bear any creative fruit, and the contract was soon terminated. But new useful acquaintances appeared. A series of events brought the musician together with Prigozhin, who offered Didula a job in his company, Knox Music. After signing the contract, large-scale work began to promote the young guitarist: releasing a debut album, filming a video with the participation of Alla Dukhova’s ballet, advertising, and participation in television programs. All this contributed to the growth of Valery Didyulya’s popularity. Albums are starting to quickly disappear from store shelves. Working as a team with Migachev and Prigozhin was very productive.

After the successful release of his first album, the musician’s circle of acquaintances continues to expand. Russian pop stars begin to collaborate with him. Kristina Orbakaite, Abraham Russo, Dmitry Malikov - this is an incomplete list of artists who turned to Didyula as a composer.

The following albums “Road to Baghdad” and “Satin Shores” no longer leave any doubt about the professionalism and talent of the guitarist and bring him fame.

Didyuli's creativity now

Having gone through a difficult path and honing his guitar skills to perfection, Valery is looking for new ways to express his talent. The creation of “sound in sound” compositions, when background sound is added to the main sound, served as the beginning of writing music that has a beneficial effect on a person’s psychological health. This fact has been confirmed by expert psychologists.

Today, Valery Didyulya gives more than 120 concerts a year, releases new albums, and produces other performers. His creativity is in demand.
In addition to music, Didyulya tried himself as a film actor. He played the role of a guitarist in A. Konchalovsky’s film “House of Fools.”

Guitarist character

The talented musician says about himself that he is a calm, balanced person. He does not like scandals and adventures. And his energy bursts during performances. At his concerts, Didula gives free rein to his feelings and emotions, creating a vibrant show combined with high-quality, unsurpassed music.
