Why do different doshas gain weight? Gain weight according to Ayurveda

Gain weight. Natural remedies and methods of Ayurveda. S. Sadhwani

Many people know that it is difficult to lose weight reliably and permanently, but did you know that gaining weight is even more difficult?
Weight below normal is a sign of an incorrectly chosen diet and regimen. And extreme thinness is already a risk of more serious health problems, such as easy infection due to low immunity, weakening of bones (osteoporosis), etc. Such people also have a lack of energy to perform even simple everyday tasks and get tired easily.
And even a direct relationship has been identified between significantly low body weight and early mortality.
Thus, it makes sense to devote enough effort and time to normalizing weight, bringing it to normal through a nutritious, balanced diet and without becoming overweight.

    Classification by mass norm index

The normal body mass index is defined as a person's weight in kilograms divided by the square of their height in meters.
Body mass index is a very simple tool used to assess, classify a person's weight as underweight, normal weight or overweight. The index is practically independent of age and gender.

    Causes of underweight:

    Genetics
    Metabolism
Infections such as tuberculosis or gastrointestinal infections
    Liver or kidney diseases
    Hyperthyroidism or overactive thyroid gland
    Cancer
    Appetite suppressants
    Depression
Poor food due to lack of funds
Eating less than three times a day regularly
    Eating very low-calorie, nutrient-poor foods
Eating disorders such as anorexia or bulimia.

    Side effects of being underweight

    Weak immune system

People who are very thin or underweight often have weakened immune systems and are therefore at increased risk of contracting infections.
The main function of the immune system is to fight infections and prevent bacteria and viruses from entering the body.
However, in the case of a weakened immune system, the body cannot fight infection, as a result of which a person may contract infections and get sick too often.
This overall represents a reduced quality of life.

Dry rough skin, easy hair loss

Below normal weight is an important sign of poor nutrition. This indicates that the diet is lacking in important nutrients. Due to lack of nutrients, a person may look dull, the skin may lose moisture and appear dry, rough and scaly. Not only the skin, but the hair also begins to thin.
Hair loss, loss of hair fullness and volume are also very common in such people.

    Decreased nutrient absorption

Decreased nutrient absorption is quite common in thin people. And this makes the situation worse. A person who weighs below normal may become ill due to a deficiency of one or another nutrient in the body. For example, a calcium deficiency can increase the risk of osteoporosis and minor fractures, while a lack of iron and protein can lead to anemia.

    Decreased muscle strength

Thin people often have low muscle mass and reduced muscle strength. This leads to increased fatigue, difficulty performing daily tasks, and a person gets tired easily.

    Complications during pregnancy

Women who are very thin or underweight have many complications during pregnancy.
In severe cases of thinness, women are even unable to become pregnant. If such women become pregnant, they remain at high risk of experiencing difficulties during pregnancy and childbirth.

Healthy Natural Ways to Gain Weight

Eat small and often nutrient-dense foods
Thin people tend to have a small appetite and a small stomach. They simply cannot eat much at one time.
Therefore, it is advisable to organize meals in such a way that you can eat little by little, but somewhat more often than you are used to, and you should eat more energy-rich food.
Here are some more ways to make your meals more nutritious:

Add to soups, porridges, and any hot dish.
    - Add chopped nuts to milk or other drinks.
    - Eat more often any natural pure oils, such as sesame oil, peanut oil, walnut oil, etc. For example, lightly pour a slice of bread on top.
    - Serve vegetable dishes or salads with high-calorie sauces, such as cheese sauce.
    - Eat nuts and dried fruits more often as a snack or snack.
However, you should not overdo it with the consumption of fats in foods and you should not lean on fried foods.
Consumption of the latter will increase body weight, but, most likely, due to an increase in the percentage of body fat, we also need this to a certain extent, but everything needs to be done in moderation.

    Increase your plant protein intake

Dietary protein is essential for muscle growth and the development of lean body mass. At least 15 - 20% of total calories should come from protein.
A diet rich in carbohydrates and fat leads to the accumulation of fat in the body, but when a diet high in protein is consumed, the increase occurs mainly in lean body mass. Developed muscles are an indicator of health and provide sufficient strength to carry out all daily activities without overwork.
Vegetarians can easily increase their protein intake by eating different combinations of grains and legumes. Combining grains with legumes improves their overall effect on the body. Although animal meat is rich in protein, its consumption cannot be recommended, since the meat is rich in an unhealthy type of fat and, moreover, the meat carries the energy of fear, death and torment of the killed animal.

So here it is list of foods rich in healthy protein or highly nutritious:

    Soybeans
    Beans
    Beans
    Peas
    Soy nuts
    Amaranth
    Honey
    Tofu
Nuts: walnuts, hazelnuts, peanuts, pecans, cashews, pistachios, almonds, coconut, pine nuts
    Potato
    Turnip
    Oilseeds
    Dried fruits
    Milk
    Cottage cheese
    Cheese, paneer, yogurt
    Rice
    Dal, moong dal
    Lentils
    Sea kale, spirulina.

Include whole grains in your daily diet

Whole grains are rich in carbohydrates, dietary fiber, vitamins, minerals, phytoestrogens, phenols and unsaturated fatty acids.
Research shows that people who consume meals high in carbohydrates gain more weight compared to individuals who consume meals of the same calorie content but are high in fat. This is why it is so important to include natural whole grains in your daily diet.
However, refined foods are also rich in carbohydrates but should be avoided as they do not contain dietary fibre, minerals or vitamins and are not healthy foods.

Examples of cereals and whole grain dishes:

    Oats
    Barley
    Quinoa
    Amiarant
    Wheat
    Sorghum
    Brown rice
Whole grain flour from these cereals
Whole grain flour products: pasta, noodles, bread.

Make nuts and oilseeds a regular part of your diet

Nuts and oilseeds are a concentrated source of energy, and eating nuts daily helps maintain a decent energy balance. Adding nuts to various recipes significantly increases their calorie content.
Nuts, even when consumed in small quantities, increase the overall daily caloric intake and help improve well-being, and consuming nuts in larger quantities already leads to weight gain.

For example, eating 4-5 almonds a day as a snack increases the caloric content of the diet so that weight stops falling, and eating the same 4-5 almonds, but twice a day and with milk, already makes it possible to gain weight. However, you should not consume more than 10-12 almonds or 4-5 whole walnuts per day. In addition, nuts protect the heart, have a low glycemic index, and help maintain healthy lipid metabolism.

Pay attention to the taste variety of dishes and the variety of foods consumed

More complete use of the different tastes of food, an increase in the variety of products used for cooking, the use of a wide range of spices and seasonings - all this improves the taste of food, significantly increases its attractiveness and increases appetite, which, in turn, reliably contributes to weight gain.

Examples of some herbs, spices and seasonings include:

Parsley, Fennel, Anise, Basil, Horseradish, Onion, Garlic, Asafoetida, Thyme, Rosemary, Pepper, Cloves, Cinnamon, Cumin, Mustard, Cumin, Fenugreek, Turmeric, Ginger, Nutmeg, Saffron, Dill, Mint, Melissa, Thyme and other.

It’s also worth it to start understanding the main ones yourself and start adding them to your everyday dishes. It may be advisable to take a closer look, for example, at guduchi, haritaki, etc. Dosages in dishes should not exceed the recommended daily maximum intake doses for each herb. It is better to start with the minimum recommended daily doses.

Include more dairy products in your diet

Dairy products like milk, yogurt, buttermilk (lassi), cheese (paneer), butter and ghee are good sources of energy.
These foods also provide the body with calcium, protein and other essential substances, vitamins and minerals.
Research has proven that drinking a significant amount of milk creates a positive energy balance. This study also found that milk contains the hormone estrone, which promotes weight gain. Hence, people who want to gain weight should make milk and dairy products part of their daily diet. You can replace tea, carbonated drinks, and other everyday drinks with milk, this will increase your positive energy balance.

Weight lifting exercises, muscle resistance training

Research has shown that weight lifting training leads to increased muscle mass and muscle strength.
Start by lifting light weights and then gradually increase the load. Muscle resistance training should be done at least 2-3 times a week. This training will increase muscle size and provide better muscle and tendon strength. If you are new to this, it makes sense to take the help of a qualified trainer. People with musculoskeletal problems or other health conditions should consult their doctor, even better if the trainer and physician are the same person.

Ensure yourself a good night's sleep

Every person should sleep at least 7 to 8 hours. Research on this topic shows that people who sleep fewer hours lose muscle mass more easily and lose muscle strength. Therefore, it is very important to get proper sleep to strengthen and repair your muscles.

    Maintain a positive energy balance

In order to maintain normal body weight, you should monitor your daily energy consumption, it should be lower than the incoming energy and approximately equal. But to gain weight, a person's energy intake must be significantly greater than the body's energy expenditure.
This creates an environment of positive energy balance in the body. In other words, a positive energy balance is when you consume more calories than you expend. Therefore, in order to gain weight, you need to eat more often and eat more nutritious and healthy foods.

Avoid drinking water shortly before, during and after meals

Water is the best of drinks and drinking enough water is very important as water constitutes 60% of body weight.
Studies have shown that the regime followed by certain people in drinking water affects the quality and quantity of food consumed and changes in body weight. Many people drink water before or during meals. Research shows that drinking too much water before or during meals is bad, reducing appetite and impairing nutrient absorption.
This can be extremely beneficial for people who want to lose weight, but a person who wants to gain weight should avoid drinking water (any drink) half an hour before meals, during meals and two hours after.

Hello, my constitution has strong Vata and slightly less Pitta. Digestion is extremely unstable. There is a very big problem with weight gain. Please tell me what recommendations for people with Vata dosha to gain weight. Eating according to a regimen, heavy foods (those suitable for vata) in large quantities does not help at all. Gas formation and bloating often occur. I eat something like this: 6 am - a couple of bananas with sour cream, honey and cinnamon. 8 am - oatmeal with milk (or cottage cheese with sour cream) with dried fruits, honey and nuts. 12 days - rice (or other cereals) with bread, cheese, vegetables and sour cream. 17 pm - buckwheat with vegetables and nuts. 21 pm - milk with spices. I don’t eat meat, fish, or eggs. I weigh 60 kg with a height of 180. And another question: how to eat when you have ARVI? I often get colds and at this time I don’t feel like eating at all, especially grounding food. I eat maximum fresh fruits and nuts. I know that this is too light food for vata, but eating something heavier increases mucus. How to eat at this time so that the mucus does not increase too much and you do not lose too much weight on fruits alone?? Thank you, God bless you!

Expert's answer:

Good afternoon, Dmitry!

You make gross mistakes in choosing food, meal times, etc. Stop this if you don't want to face serious illness. Believe me, I don’t want to scare you or question your competence in matters of dietetics, and it’s just that you apparently received incorrect information somewhere (and this is not surprising now when there is so much conflicting information on dietetics, including traditional Ayurvedic), but you are doing your best. I do everything possible to weaken my already weak digestion. Why bananas with sour cream in the morning? The combination of bananas and dairy products is one of the worst combinations, the list of diseases arising from this in the Ashtanga Hridayam Samhita takes up a page of text, raw cottage cheese with sour cream is also not needed for you yet. You probably feel it yourself? How do you digest them? Further, fruits and vegetables are raw only in season. And the season is hot summer and no food from the refrigerator, even at room temperature, is “cold food” for you, etc. etc.

You need to choose the medications, but I can say in absentia that I think Ashwagandha will do, Trikatu before meals (if there is no gastritis or ulcers), Chyawanprash with hot water or milk, but this is not the main thing, this is a start.

Useful properties of figs.

Thanks to what beneficial properties have figs been valued for over 5,000 years? How to choose the sweetest figs? How to make a healthy breakfast from it? You will find out the answers to these and other questions in just a few minutes.

Fig tree, fig, just fig, fig tree - as they call it Ficus carica - deciduous subtropical ficus. The mountainous region of ancient Caria, in Asia Minor, is considered its homeland, which is why it is called Carian. By the way, “ficus” is a modified word from “fig”.

This one of the oldest plants has become a favorite among the best resorts: Egypt, Greece, Spain, Italy, Turkey, the Caucasus, and Crimea. You can also find it in India and America, in Central Asia and on the Absheron Peninsula. Trees live on average 60-100 years, but there are also three-hundred-year-old representatives.

Fig fruits pear-shaped, weighing about 40-70 g, reddish, yellow or purple in color. They are covered with a skin with fine hairs. At the top of the fruit there is an eye, which is covered with scales. There are many seeds inside. When ripened, figs become sweet and juicy. And unripe fruits are not edible.

How to choose figs? The “elite” of the fig family are the yellow fruits. Reddish and dark purple ones also have the right to be on your table. But black fruits are not held in high esteem in the East.

The figs should be smooth, without mold, and not too large. The best tender figs are those with more than 900 seeds. If there are less than 500 seeds, the figs are classified as mediocre. Naturally, hardly anyone will count them. Just know that the smaller the fig and the more seeds it contains, the tastier it is.

Unfortunately, fresh figs can only be enjoyed in places where they grow. They have a very short shelf life. Because inside the fruit there is a sweet jelly that begins to ferment very quickly. In this regard, they are also called wine berries.

Therefore, dried figs are more common in mid-latitudes. Choose fruits that are yellowish in color, not candied, and without plaque.

How are figs consumed? In the East they make jam, preserves, marshmallows and, of course, wine from it. They also prepare condensed fig juice – dushab. And fig gin is called Bukha.

It is advisable to soak dried figs overnight before eating and eat them with the infusion in the morning. The peel must be removed, and the pulp must be chewed for a long time. 3 figs a day will replenish iron deficiency.

And it is not advisable for drivers on the road to get carried away with figs, especially fresh ones. It contains alcohol.

Keep Dried figs are best refrigerated in a container as they absorb odors.

Compound: Dried fruits can contain up to 50% sugars, fresh fruits can contain up to 24%. Figs also contain tannins, some fat (only 0.5%), organic acids, proteins (up to 1.3%), vitamins B1, B3, B6, C, PP, folic acid (10 mg), beta-carotene, phosphorus (32 mg), calcium (34 mg), sodium (18 mg), potassium (268 mg), magnesium, iodine, copper. It contains quite a lot of iron (more than apples), beneficial enzymes, pectins and about 2% alcohol.

Keep in mind that figs are quite high in calories - 214 kcal per 100 g.

Properties of figs.

First of all, we need to mention the extreme nutritional value of these fruits. It is a good supplier of energy, vitamins and minerals. Dried fruits are convenient to take with you to work and on travel. And fresh ones quench your thirst quite well, so don’t neglect them on vacation. Figs are very high in calories, so they are quite suitable for those who need to gain weight.

Figs are rich in fiber, which helps treat constipation, improves intestinal motility, and also lowers cholesterol and cleanses the blood.

The large amount of potassium makes figs useful for both the treatment and prevention of heart disease, venous insufficiency and hypertension.

Potassium relieves tension in blood vessels, helps lower blood pressure and is beneficial for the kidneys. Ficin promotes the resorption of blood clots and reduces blood clotting.

A significant amount of iron makes figs useful for anemia. Pregnant women and children need to include it in their diet.

Figs have been used in medicine since ancient times. This is one of the best remedies for coughs, bronchial asthma, inflammation of the respiratory tract and chest pain. They are used to treat sore throat. A decoction of water is used for colds; the pulp has an antipyretic effect.

Figs have diuretic properties and are useful for diseases of the liver and spleen. The pulp of the fruit is used for fungal skin diseases.

And the leaves contain furocoumarins - substances that are used in the pharmaceutical industry for the production of antispasmodics, vasodilators, antitumor agents, as well as drugs for the treatment of vitiligo. In addition, decoctions from the leaves are used to regulate metabolism.

Figs in Ayurveda classified as beneficial products. And the fig tree itself was considered a sacred tree in Ancient India.

Fresh figs have a sweet, astringent, cold energy taste. It increases kapha and decreases vata. Dried has a hot nature, it lowers kapha and increases vata. For people with pitta constitution, figs are recommended in any form.

Fresh figs quench thirst, which is caused by excess mucus. But in large quantities it is difficult to digest. Unripe – removes warts when used externally.

Dried is useful for lower back pain and cleanses the lungs. Combined with thyme and savory, it cleanses the kidneys and bladder. Figs go well with other sweet fruits and nuts. It is better to use it in the morning

Recipe. Energy breakfast with figs

You will need: three small dried figs, 10 almonds (or any other), 10 dates, 1.5 teaspoons of fennel seeds, 1 teaspoon of ground cardamom.

Preparation: put everything in a bowl, cover with water overnight, leave in a cool place. In the morning, peel the almonds and remove the pits from the dates. And beat the dried fruits and nuts in a blender along with the infusion.

The dish adds energy and strengthens the immune system.

Each person is born with a unique combination of vata, pitta and kapha (V-P-K), the three main dosha energies in Ayurveda, which determines their strengths and weaknesses; no two people are alike. To determine the individual characteristics of a person and select the correct treatment, three pure and seven mixed types of constitution are distinguished.

If a person was born with a lot of pitta and little vata and kapha, we consider that person to be pitta dominant (he belongs to the “pure” pitta dominant type). A person with equal amounts of vata and pitta and little kapha is a mixed vata-pitta type.
Under the influence of climate, changing seasons, depending on age, dietary habits and lifestyle, the human body can become unbalanced. If he gains 10 kg in weight, the dosha ratio will change. A person will not feel “at ease” until the ratio of doshas in his body returns to the innate one. Ayurveda helps a person to discover and restore the initially inherent balance of doshas.

Cotton wool type

This type has a thin bone body regardless of height. The joints of people with “pure” cotton wool are thin, dry and easily crack, or they are large, porous, and protruding. The body is usually characterized by a disproportion between the legs and torso (long legs, short torso). Scoliosis, irregular head shape (curved nose, displaced nasal septum), and crooked legs are common. If these people get fat, then their belly grows. The skin is dry, rough, cool to the touch, and the skin color is darker than that of other members of the same race. The hair is dark, dry, wavy or curly, unruly, and dandruff is common. The teeth are uneven, often protruding, with wide interdental spaces and a tendency to bare gums. The eyes are often small, dry, mobile, dark or brown.

Appetite fickle or bad. They often get carried away and skip meals or, conversely, experience bouts of “ravenous” hunger. Thirst is changeable. The fingers and toes are long and thin. Nails are fragile and break easily. If such a person is sick, he often experiences pain and other nervous symptoms. Pulse weak, irregular. Urine scanty. Gasty stool, dry and hard. Tendency to constipation. A Vata person walks quickly and is physically active, but is easily exhausted and tired. To regain strength, often relies on sugar, caffeine and other stimulants. Microelements are easily washed out of his body. Poorly maintains body weight unless the channels are blocked.

Mind restless, active, curious and creative, under stress becomes anxious and insecure. He easily forgets and changes decisions, and has a good short-term memory. Speech is fast, chaotic, impulsive. Doesn't finish sentences and often interrupts others. Very expressive, gesticulates a lot. Easily influenced by other people and often dissatisfied with relationships. Vata type people show interest in social life. Prone to insomnia. It is difficult for them to fall asleep, their sleep is intermittent, they often dream of flying, running, jumping, and experience fear in their sleep. Money flows through Vata people's fingers - they spend it in obedience to momentary desires.

People of this type are very different from each other, but everyone exhibits most of the specified characteristics.

  • Balanced vata: friendliness; goodwill, willingness to provide service, a creative person, able to forgive, cheerful, happy, the soul of the company.
  • Unbalanced vata: excessive dryness, weight loss, anemia, constant fatigue, lack of energy, absent-mindedness, chronic constipation; nervousness; hyperactivity, irritability, impaired body functions, poor digestion, poor memory, breathing problems.

Pitta type

People with “pure” pitta have skeleton of average development, usually slender, proportionally built, easily gain and lose weight. A good appetite requires regular meals. The skin is tender, oily, warm to the touch, has a copper or yellowish tint, burns quickly in the sun, often has freckles and moles, and is prone to acne.

These people sweat easily. Hair- soft, light or red, turn gray early and fall out, fingers are proportional, nail beds are pink. The look is sharp, penetrating. The iris is gray, green; the sclera is often yellowish. They suffer from high fever and are susceptible to inflammation and infections. They often feel thirsty. Stool - soft, oily, poorly formed - three times a day or more often.

Pitga people prefer moderate activity and due to their energetic nature they love competitions, they are smart and purposeful, remember everything, down to the details. They become excellent leaders, managers, show a great sense of responsibility and often occupy high positions. They are distinguished from other types by passion, high and directed energy, and dedication to the task.

Under the influence stress they become irritable, stubborn, angry and jealous. Money is spent moderately and methodically. Sleep moderately and soundly. They see colorful dreams, full of fire and passion. Speech is accurate, clear, coherent; tend to “cut from the shoulder”, sarcastic. The pulse is strong and regular.

Pitta controls all functions related to the release and consumption of heat: the functions of the liver, spleen, skin, small intestine, brain, hormonal fluctuations, vision, digestion, absorption of nutrients, appetite, and the feeling of thirst.

There are also numerous manifestations of “fire” in the sphere of thinking and behavior - discrimination, perception, memory, desires, decision-making, courage, the desire for leadership, manipulation, a sense of justice.

  • Balanced pitta: cheerfulness, good digestion, ability to eat anything, courage, charm, responsibility, caring.
  • Unbalanced pitta: weak digestion, fluctuating body temperature, poor vision; anger, excessive demands, irritability, despotism, obsession.

Kapha type

“Pure” kapha is easy to recognize. These people have a big body and massive skeletal. They have thick, oily skin that is cool to the touch and is white or pale in color. These are strong people who sweat moderately and gain weight easily, but they need to work hard to lose it. The hair is thick, oily, wavy. Eyebrows and eyelashes are thick. The teeth are strong, white, large, well formed. The eyes are often large and attractive.

Appetite stable, while they can skip meals easily and without problems. When kapha people get sick, the illness is often accompanied by nasal and chest congestion, excess mucus production and swelling. They rarely feel thirsty. The stool is thick, oily and regular, once a day.

Kapha people - peaceful and happy with life. They move slowly and expend little energy, and are very durable. Among the negative tendencies (with increased kapha) are selfishness, greed and increased sensitivity. Kapha people are constant, loyal friends and workers. They are slow to remember new things, but rarely forget anything. Their dreams are full of romance; they often dream of water. Speech is slow, monotonous or melodic. They spend little, save easily and accumulate money. Their home is always a “full cup.”

Pulse slow and steady. Characteristics of kapha are strength, endurance, long cellular life and physiological stability.

Kapha corresponds to all structural aspects of the body, controls the processes of physical growth, protection from overheating and hydration of joints.

  • Balanced Kapha: strength, integrity, willingness to get down to business, open-minded, caring, patient, understanding, happy, friendly, devoted, “grounded,” calm, balanced; He is characterized by resilience with a well-developed sense of self-esteem.
  • Unbalanced kapha: obesity, softness (literally and figuratively), too mobile joints, weakness, unreliability, envy, greed, secrecy, self-absorbed couch potato.

MIXED TYPES

There are seven of them - vata-pitta (VP), vata-kapha (VK), pitta-vata (PV), pitta-kapha (PK), kapha-vata (KV), kapha-pitta (KP), vata- pitta kapha (VPK).

In India, where marriages most often take place within a particular caste or group, the types of one dosha predominate. In the rest of the world, which has lost the class structure of society, and especially in Russia, which has undergone catastrophic upheavals, everything is mixed up and therefore mixed types of constitution predominate. Usually, even in the Mixed type, one dosha predominates (it is indicated in first place), however, there is another strong dosha, which is close in severity to the first. For example, in a person of type VP, vata is slightly stronger than pitta. In a PV type person, pitta is stronger than vata. Finally, there is a type in which all three doshas are expressed equally and balanced - the balanced tridosha (BTC).

Vata pitta.

These people are thin, like “pure” cotton wool, friendly, talkative, move quickly, and they are distinguished by a sharper intellect and greater enterprise. May be forgetful. This type is not characterized by the extremes of Vata. They are not so tense and fickle. They don't gain weight.

Food is not as important for them as for Pitta, but digestion is stronger than for Vata. They tolerate cold more easily than people with pure cotton wool. They are more tolerant of noise and physical discomfort. The strong motivation of pitta is combined with the imagination and creativity of vata.

They are calmer than pure cotton wool and are distinguished by greater constancy and confidence. These people get used to things easily, they need stability, and they like to relax. VP people are creative people, wonderful speakers. They have a good sense of humor.

Pitta-vata.

People of the PV type are built stronger than those of the VP type, they have more developed muscles, more sensitive skin and a higher susceptibility to infections. They are fast moving, resilient, persistent, energetic, like pitta, but at the same time they have the lightness of vata, they have a good memory and style of speech.

They love to eat, their digestion is strong, stools are more regular than in VP, but gas is formed more often. People of this type lose weight easily. Reaction to stress - fear or anger, loss of confidence, tension, indecisiveness. These people suffer from overheating and have difficulty withstanding noise. They love to talk and give orders.

Vata-kapha.

This type is difficult to define, since it combines opposite qualities, and, moreover, indecisive Vata often does not allow one to highlight the main thing. These people are neither thin nor fat; they often have a thin-boned vata skeleton.

Digestion may be slow or variable. They do not tolerate cold well, are talkative and relaxed in conversation, like kapha. They have an easy character. Outside of a stressful situation, they are not prone to extreme emotions.

They are aware of kapha's tendency to procrastinate in any matter, and therefore prefer to act quickly and effectively. These people love to store and accumulate.

People of the VK type are characterized by constancy, loyalty, dedication and readiness to serve. This type can be confused with the Pitta type.

Kapha vata.

People of this type are similar to the representatives of the previous one (VC), but they are stronger built and move more slowly. They are easier to please. They have an even character, they are even more relaxed than the VK, and, unlike the VK, they suffer from a lack of enthusiasm. The hair is wavy and thick. Often athletic and resilient.

Like VK, they tend to have stable digestion and do not tolerate cold well. They suffer from mucus accumulation. If they have nothing to do, they easily become depressed. They think more about others than about themselves.

Pitta-kapha.

This is the type in which pitta energy settles in a strong kapha body. The skin has a copper tint. Compared to kapha, they have more developed muscles. They can be large and clumsy. They are good athletes due to their combination of strength and endurance. Their personality combines the stability of kapha and the strength of pitta. You may notice a tendency towards anger and criticism. They are always ready to take on new business, goal-oriented, constant, resilient, resilient and energetic. Money comes to them easily; this makes them excellent entrepreneurs.

Combines pitta digestion and resistance to kapha diseases. Food is medicine for them, they do not miss meals. PCs are prone to the accumulation of mucus and phlegm in the lungs.

Kapha Pitta.

These are people with a kapha type structure, differing from PCs in the large amount of fat. They are rounder in face and body, more relaxed than PCs, and move more slowly. They have stable energy. Of all the pitta and kapha based types, they are the most resilient, love physical activity, but are less motivated to exercise than PCs.

When out of balance, they easily gain weight. When recovered, they easily return to their original weight. Money comes to them easily, these people know how to plan for the future. You can rely on them, they are true friends and can cope with any situation. They are prone to arrogance and can be impervious to criticism.

Vata-pitta-kapha.

This type is the most difficult to describe because all the doshas in these people are approximately equal in strength. This is the most balanced type with a tendency towards longevity, good health and strong immunity. But if they do not take care of themselves, any dosha can become unbalanced and a corresponding disorder will appear.

Ayurvedic doctors say that if the doshas of this type of person are out of balance, they are the most difficult to treat. These people can adapt to any situation. However, there are very few true military-industrial complexes. As a rule, one of the mixed types is disguised as a military-industrial complex.

Popular news

The main task of Ayurveda is to convey to a person knowledge that helps him keep his body strong and healthy. A healthy person is one who, with normal weight and height, feels great and lives in harmony with himself and the world around him.

Low weight and its causes according to Ayurveda

With the widespread problem of excess weight, there are people who unsuccessfully try to gain weight. Difficulties with weight gain are usually experienced by people who have a predominant Vata dosha.
