    I am glad to welcome you. I have long noticed that sometimes market trends can not be predicted, but determined. This is how my studio appeared, which is significantly different from the usual alternatives. After all, we are not a beauty salon in the usual sense, these are words where “generalists” are gathered: we are a professional eyelash extension studio, we deal only with eyelashes and we do it quickly and efficiently! We do not have a huge price list with a bunch of procedures, some of which are simply aimed at extracting money from the client. There are only 3 items in our price list: eyelash extensions, correction and removal.

    Tell us about yourself and the people who created the business, who were at the origins - guys or girls?

    Of course, such a business is difficult to organize if you do not understand what and how it works. The idea of ​​creating such a studio, as well as its subsequent implementation, was my tandem with my wife. Initially, I promoted my wife Olga Khoshabaeva as a master. It turns out that she was the hands, and I was the head (I was involved in finance and advertising). Later, I noticed that this niche is practically unoccupied, and existing salons consider eyelash extensions as an additional source of income. I made a bet on this very topic, and I believe that I did not lose.

    What did you do before? What prompted you to change your field of activity?

    At the time when we came up with the idea of ​​creating an eyelash extension studio, I had my own small company selling warehouse equipment. I sold shelving, forklifts, and a number of other items. My then-future wife worked at the hospital as an ophthalmologist (in fact, she already confidently held not only tweezers in her hands, but also a scalpel).

    We decided to join forces and do something interesting and profitable together. The idea was in the air: I have my own business, my wife has practical experience, unique training that rarely anyone uses in the beauty industry. And although the topic of beauty was not very close to me, I perfectly understood how promising it was to move in this direction?

    Kirill, what legal form did you choose and why?

    First of all, I registered as an individual entrepreneur, since in our case there was no point in registering an LLC, because we work only with individuals. However, I don’t see any problems in developing and growing further. If the need arises to open a legal entity, I am sure that this will not be an obstacle for me.

    How many people did it take to start the business?

    In fact, at first there were only a few staff in the studio: my wife and I and 2 other girls-masters, whom we trained for about six months before we “let them in” to the first guest. Now the number of employees has grown, and we are always looking for promising people. However, we are in no hurry to add specialists who are needed occasionally to our staff in order to reduce current costs and obtain maximum profits.

    How did you choose your employees? Is it difficult to find people with such an unusual specialty?

    The issue of personnel, as in any business, is one of the most problematic. We still experience great disappointment when we see what “masters” come to us for interviews. Actually, it feels like from the moment we first realized that finding a good craftsman was a big problem, absolutely nothing has changed in this market. But 5 years have already passed!     What difficulties did you encounter when opening the studio and during its work?

But everything turned out well, and we have already passed the formation stage. Therefore, it was a little easier for us, because we did not have to rent an expensive premises, which is located in the first line of houses on Tverskaya.     I believe that any businessman experiences certain difficulties in finding funds. The same thing happened to me: now it’s difficult to say how much money was raised. After all, during the process of establishing the studio, my wife and I lived in constant debt and did not differentiate between personal and work finances, spending everything on the studio. Basically, these are, of course, our savings, without which it would be impossible to start a business.

    How much equipment was needed to organize the work? Who maintains it?

    Here we can say that we are lucky: no specialized equipment is used in eyelash extensions. I assembled all the furniture we bought myself, since I have the right skills. We wanted to create a warm and homely atmosphere, so we did the renovations, choosing materials that are suitable for a cozy home. And we guessed right! Every new guest gives us the first compliment on the doorstep, and it concerns the interior.

    What is the specialty of your studio? How do you differ from similar projects?

    Speed, quality and cozy atmosphere. Not a single “global” beauty salon will give you the comfort of home. Don’t forget about safety: my wife, who is also a leading specialist, is an ophthalmologist, so clients do not risk their health.

    What goals are you setting for yourself now? What are you striving for?

    We strive for constant development and constant improvement of service, and, of course, we want to turn our company into a network business. At the moment I am actively working on this idea, deciding which side to start the process from. I have long noticed that lately narrow-profile businesses have been in demand among consumers. It is better to do one thing well than to provide a large number of services, but mediocre.

    How did you manage your first net profit?

    We disposed of our first profit a long time ago - we invested everything in the studio. In general, all free resources should be invested in your own business, but do it wisely: there will definitely be a return.

    What is the “average bill” of one client? What methods do you use to increase customer loyalty?

    The average bill is about 2000 rubles.
