Olga Satsyuk biography. Dmitry Karas and Olga Satsyuk - about ten years of friendship, time-tested songs and new items on the national “Hit Parade”

Europe will remember the first representative of Belarus at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest - a girl with a clear voice calling “Dance” for a long time. But time passes and yesterday’s baby has turned into an adult young lady who, fortunately, has retained both her ringing voice and unsurpassed charisma. The correspondent caught Olga Satsyuk at work in the summer bar Roof Bar, here she performs world hits and her own compositions in the company Dj Forbs. During the break, we had a great opportunity to have dinner with the rising star and ask about her gastronomic preferences.
- Olga, who cooks at your house?

I do most of the cooking. I live with my older sister, she is a creative person like me, so solving culinary problems is difficult, but always delicious.

- Do you think about healthy food?

Of course, now stores offer a huge range of food, so it is absolutely easy to choose food according to the necessary criteria: quality, price, specifics of the cuisine and method of preparation. Basically, when choosing food, I make sure that it is tasty and, of course, healthy.

- You have a fairly active professional life; if you have to eat in the evening, what kind of dishes are they?

I’ll tell you this, if a steak voluntarily appeared on my plate in the evening, then there is no reason to be sad! I enjoy myself while eating, and then I can figure out what to do to eliminate unnecessary calories. The word “harmony” is popular not only in the musical world, but also in everyday life. So, there must be harmony in everything, that is, balance. You need to eat when your body really needs it.

Let's talk about the establishment in which we are located. Share your impressions of the summer Roof Bar?

This isn't my first time dining and singing at the Roof Bar. This is one of my favorite places in Minsk, there is fresh air, wonderful music and excellent food that create an amazing atmosphere. My beloved partner DJ Forbs and I try to take visitors closer to the starry sky through music and a great mood!

- Tell us about the dishes that you cook and consider to be your signature?

Perhaps for starters it will be “Cheese soup”, for the second - eggplants with cottage cheese, tomato and garlic, gently wrapped in bacon, and for dessert it will be simple, easy and healthy: bananas with oatmeal, condensed milk and hazelnuts, which are baked in the oven 10 - 15 minutes.

- How do you eat on tour?

Artists are interesting and unusual people, and their approach to life is appropriate. Everyone has their own favorite food, and if you have to tour in places where it is difficult to find that same food, then difficulties can arise. I’m a completely unpretentious artist, especially since I try to get to know the original cuisines of the countries and cities I visit, to become familiar with the food culture, so to speak. In general, I try to always have drinking yogurt, a muesli bar and a banana with me.

- Do you have a food rider?

I don’t have a rider as such; of course, it’s preferable to have water, fruit, and sandwiches in the dressing room, but I don’t remember a time when an artist was greeted with an empty table and left hungry.

- You tour abroad quite a lot. Are you trying to taste the local cuisine?

Of course, in part, Bernard Shaw is right when he says that we only experience sincere feelings for food. Dishes of national cuisine cannot but arouse admiration, because it is part of culture, history, it is also art.

- Can you single out your favorite cuisine from a particular country?

I love our Belarusian cuisine, Chinese, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, Arabic. I love to enjoy the process of eating food, so Greek and Italian cuisines also impress me with their table settings and the appearance of the dish, as well as their ideal compatibility with my stomach.

- Do you have a favorite Belarusian dish?

Since childhood, I have had a weakness for my grandmother’s pancakes with chanterelles and sour cream.

- What products are always in your refrigerator?

This is butter, quail eggs, bananas, oranges, cabbage, tomatoes, cheeses, soy and nut sauces, water, juices. In general, our refrigerator is always full of something.

-Are there foods that you avoid that are deliberately not in your refrigerator?

I have no conflicts with food. The main thing is your approach and imagination, then your food will always be delicious, and the table will always be crowded.

- What can you wish our readers?

I wish everyone to live in harmony with their body and appetite, enjoy the process of eating food and always find time to slowly enjoy all the rich gastronomic gifts that this world has given us!

- Thank you, Olga, for the interesting conversation, good luck to you!

This year, the participant from Belarus at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, Daniel Yastremsky, took only 11th place.

Junior Eurovision, of course, is much less intense than the adult Eurovision. But our country has achieved much greater success in it. Moreover, Belarus was one of the founding countries of the competition and invariably participates in it every year. And in the ranking over all the years, our country is confidently among the leaders, having won 2 victories, taking 2nd place once, taking 3rd place twice, taking 4th place twice, and 5th place twice.

Let us note several features of the competition compared to the adult version. Firstly, the child must sing exclusively in the national language of the country, and secondly, all children, regardless of place, are awarded 12 points. We decided to remember all the Belarusian participants in the competition, and also see what they look like now, and how their fate turned out.

The TUT.BY correspondent decided to follow the fate of the young artists who performed in previous years. Participants of the children's international competition talked aboutare you going to or have you already connected your life with music or show business?.

2003

First to perform at Junior Eurovision in Copenhagen Olga Satsyuk from Kobrin. The girl sang the song “Dance” in Belarusian. Out of 16 countries it took 4th place.

What does Olga think and dream about today?

“The past year 2012 was in many ways a transitional year for me, both creatively and personally. The teenage stage in my life is coming to an end, and this is always associated with certain difficulties, such as changing the repertoire, image. This is exactly what I am working on with my team. But along with the changes in my life, there are also such familiar components as concerts, competitions and filming, as well as studying in the third year of the Belarusian University of Culture and Arts in the department of pop vocals. I have also been painting for several years, actively experimenting and. I hope that the result of my efforts can be seen soon at a personal exhibition. There was also a stage in my life with the group “Kraski”, but for a number of reasons I did not get the results I needed from the project, although in fact I still remain the lead singer of the group. solo work, I collaborate with talented musicians and arrangers from all over the country. But I would like to pay special attention to my tandem with a promising young musician from my hometown of Kobrin, Sergei Poshelyuzhny, under the creative pseudonym VIPI YO.

If we talk specifically about 2012, at the beginning of it I was actively involved with the charity project “Give Children a Dream”. As part of this project, I gave master classes, was a member of the jury, and was also a presenter with my close friends Zhenya Bulka and Anton Martynenko. In the fall, I had an exciting trip with our artists far beyond the borders of Belarus, or rather to Rostov-on-Don and Taganrog, where the VII festival “Youth for the Union State” was held.

And, of course, this year Belarus chose the tenth representative for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, in honor of which the Belteleradiocompany organized a large-scale show with all the contestants from previous years. I performed the song "Don"t let me fall", on the creation of which at different times such musicians as the group "Litesound", Petr Elfimov and the group "Brown Velvet" worked. Many guys who performed after me at Junior Eurovision, have become true friends for me, with whom we communicate outside the concert venues, Eurovision has become a successful springboard for me in my childhood career, I always worry about all the representatives of our country, and I wish them good luck and.

But I am sure that even more changes await me next year, where there will be new duets and, possibly, new competitions. I really want to open a school for young performers. I believe that we have a lot of talented children in our country. Therefore, I want to find good specialists and implement my plans. I would like to help children who do not yet know in which direction and how best to move in music.

I’m 19, my career is just beginning, I have many projects and plans, my dreams are to work with the best performers and producers in the music industry. Two years ago I started writing songs. I hope they will be born in the new year.

2004

Egor Volchek from Mozyr, at the age of 12, he represented Belarus at Junior Eurovision with the song “Spyavaitse sa me” in the city of Lillehammer (Norway). The boy took 14th place.

Egor Volcheksteppedfrom Junior Eurovision to Adult Eurovision

“After performing at Junior Eurovision, there was a break for a couple of years. But then I returned to music again. I still took my choice of profession more seriously and entered the BSU Faculty of Economics, International Management. But I never gave up singing.

For some time he sang in the group "Sky-Thai". But six months ago I realized that there was no growth and I needed to move on somewhere. I recorded a new project and decided to test my strength this year in . I take part in the ONT project "Academy of Talents".

After entering the university, I thought that everything would calm down, calm down, and I would become calmer about music. But this did not happen. Now I understand that the stage draws me to itself. This academic year I am writing a diploma and am already graduating from university, but I still don’t want to work in my specialty. Besides singing, I’m now trying to remember the basics of playing the saxophone. After all, I once went to music school to play this instrument.

Now, while I’m writing my thesis, I’m slowly thinking about the future and the direction in music that I want to pursue. Most likely, it won’t be pop or rock; I’ll probably still choose something dancey.

2005

Ksenia Sitnik born in Mozyr. Since 2001 she has been studying in a pop singing studio. Ksenia performed the song “We Are Together” at Junior Eurovision 2005 in the Belgian city of Hasselt. Sitnik returned to Belarus with a victory.

Plans include enrolling in international journalism

Due to a busy schedule and preparations for admission, it was not possible to contact Ksenia. But I managed to talk with Ksenia Sitnik’s mother, Svetlana Statsenko:

“Now Ksenia is finishing school and all the emphasis is on preparing for admission. My daughter is going to enroll in international journalism. Despite the fact that Ksenia does not intend to connect her life and future profession with music, she continues to study vocals to maintain her tone. Now we are not preparing material for the competition, we will sing more English songs.

Most recently, the ONT TV channel invited Ksyusha to perform at the New Year's light. It turned out to be an interesting experiment, Ksenia covered Britney Spears' song "Oh...Baby, Baby... Oops!" in Belarusian. It turned out quite unusual."

2006

Andrey Kunets from Mozyr at the age of 10 he performed at the international Eurovision 2006 competition in Bucharest (Romania) with the song “New Day”. The boy took second place.

Andrey chose a creative profession

A few years after participating in Junior Eurovision, Andrei released an album called “New Day,” changed his image and began listening to better music.

Today the guy is 17 years old, he is in the 11th grade and is seriously preparing for admission. It was not possible to catch him at home, as he was completely immersed in his studies and tutoring. According to Andrei’s mother, he is not involved in music now, as there is a turning point and his voice is mutating. The mother did not answer where the young man would go, she only emphasized that the profession would be related to creativity and Andrei would try his hand at Minsk.

2007

Alexey Zhigalkovich started singing at the age of 5. He received pop singing lessons from Olga Vronskaya, Nelly Duschinskaya, and Pyotr Elfimov. In 2007 he brought his second victory from Junior Eurovision from Rotterdam (Netherlands). He performed the song "With Friends".

From artist to filmmaker

“Today I’m in my senior year and preparing to enter the Belarusian Academy of Arts to study feature film directing. I have absolutely no time for music right now. I’m completely immersed in directing.

At one time I learned about the Minsk film school. I signed up there and after the first lesson I received an interesting task, after which I realized that this field was close to me. Now I’m filming videos, writing scripts, and going to preparatory courses at the Academy of Arts. I’m getting ready to shoot a creative social video against smoking.”

2008

Trio Daria Nadina, Alina Molosh, Karina Zhukovich represented Belarus in 2008 in Limassol, Cyprus with the song “Heart of Belarus”. The girls took 6th place.

From Baranovichi to Moscow

"Karina Zhukovich graduated from 9th grade in Baranovichi and entered the Moscow Music College to study pop-jazz vocals. Upon admission, Karina passed the exam invocals by typing 100 points out of 100. Alina Molosh entered the Minsk College of Arts to study pop-jazz vocals. Daria Nadina is still in school and plans to connect her future with a creative profession. There are plans to enroll in London. But he’s not going to give up singing, he wants to continue doing this regardless of his future profession.", - said the girls’ teacher, artistic director of the Center for Musical Art named after. Mulyavina Svetlana Statsenko.

2009

Yuri Demidovich He has been involved in music since childhood. While still in second grade, Yura entered the gymnasium-college at the Belarusian State Academy of Music. In 2009, in Kyiv, Yuri Demidovich performed at Junior Eurovision with the song “Magic Rabbit”, where he took 9th place.

I haven't given up singing

Today Yura is 16 years old and continues his studies at the gymnasium-college at the Belarusian State Academy of Music in the choral conducting department. He still doesn’t know in which direction he will move next, since it is at this time that the voice mutation occurs. As for plans for the future, according to Yuri, one can judge that he will definitely become a musician and, perhaps, go to study abroad.

2010

2010 became a special year for Belarus. Junior Eurovision took place in the Belarusian capital. Daniil Kozlov I didn’t have to travel far from Zhabinka. With the song "Music Light" Daniil took 5th place.

Draws people's souls

Now Daniil is studying in the 10th grade, takes part in various competitions, for example, most recently in, which was held on our portal. She has performed at the festival of children's creativity "The Earth Falls with White Wings", a charity concert tour in Italy and many other competitions.

“I want to connect my life with music. As for the musical direction, pop is the closest. Besides music, I really like to draw abstract things, for example, people’s souls. As for future plans, I would really like to go to the adult Eurovision and take part in “ New wave"- Daniil told TUT.BY.

2011

Lydia Zablotskaya performed at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Yerevan (Armenia) with the song “Angels of Good”. Among all participants she took 3rd place.

Lydia's dream: "To become a TV presenter and open a music studio"

Now Lida is still 14 years old and is in 9th grade, but she is making very specific plans for the future. Over the year, interest in music has not weakened. The girl still practices vocals, participates in various projects, and performs at concerts on a city and republican scale.

“Vocal is my hobby, which I will never give up. In a few years, I plan to enroll in journalism. In the future, I want to become a TV presenter and open my own music studio. I think that the studio could be opened in Minsk or in my hometown of Mogilev. I think that one thing will not interfere with another and I will be able to combine everything", - shared Lydia.

12 years have passed since the first children's song contest in Denmark, Olga Satsyuk represented Belarus, Ksenia Sitnik won the Eurovision in 2005, and Alexey Zhigalkovich won the competition eight years ago. Onliner.by talked to the “children of Eurovision”, found out what they look like now and what they do.

Olga Satsyuk

Olga Satsyuk, the pioneer of Junior Eurovision, is the only singer of our heroes who continues to seriously engage in music. It’s always nice for a girl to mentally return to 2003.

- Despite the busy schedule, I managed to do everything,- she recalls, - I managed to learn how to ride a bike during a break between filming and even broke my knee! Preparing for Eurovision and the competition itself forced me to grow up quickly and taught me to do my job professionally, but, nevertheless, I had a wonderful childhood, my only regret is that it was so short.

In the 11 years after the competition, she managed to try herself as a songwriter, a TV presenter, an artist, and a vocalist in various musical styles.

- I want to become more familiar with the film industry and advertising business. I already had experience working on television[from 2004 to 2008, Olga hosted the programs “Suzor’e Nadzey”, “Sportlandia is calling you!” and the Belarusian selection for Junior Eurovision - approx. Onliner.by]. I also paint pictures. If all the girls love jewelry, I can endlessly buy paints and brushes!

When it comes to her personal life, the girl is diplomatic.

- Of course, there were some experiences, not always joyful, but now I am focused on my career and education. At the age of 16, I was declared an eligible bride in the country, but nothing has changed yet!

In the future, of course, I would like to have a family, but my profession will always come first. I want to make my own program on radio and also work on television, reach the international level, perhaps try my luck at Eurovision for the second time, but as an adult. I want to create a club of talented people in Belarus - something like the Russian “Star Factory”. I will further develop my show project Prime band[a group performing cover versions of world hits - approx. Onliner.by].

Now Olga Satsyuk works as a teacher at the Discovery rock school. Next year she will receive a diploma as a pop vocalist and teacher at BGUKI.

Alexey Zhigalkovich

The winner of the 2007 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will no longer be recognized on the streets. Alexey admits that eight years ago he did not feel the significance of the competition, only two years later he realized what responsibility lay on him.

- The first time after the competition was, of course, continuous concerts: performing at events and public holidays, writing new songs. There was some progress- Alexey recalls. - Afterwards, my voice began to break, and my studies put pressure on me. Two years later, everyone gradually forgot about winning Eurovision, and so did I. And there was no desire to promote myself.

Then the young man got acquainted with the camera, began filming and editing - at first he filmed for school events and open lessons.

- I liked it and wanted to know more about it. It was eighth grade. I acquired my first shooting and editing skills and shot my first works. After school, he entered the Academy of Arts to become a director. This is my main activity today.

Alexey has now completed his second year. The most “important” subject at the academy, according to the guy, is physical education. Because of her, Zhigalkovich almost got a retake.

In parallel with his studies, the 2007 Junior Eurovision triumphant filmed clips and even created his own short film.

- The theme of the film is the relationship between generations. The script was born by chance: a family friend told his painful story, and at the academy we were just given the task of making a short film. I was lucky that all the actors agreed to film for free. Most of the money was spent on renting equipment and props. We had our own camera, cameraman and sound engineer - students of the academy,- Zhigalkovich shares. The director recently released a trailer for the film.

Ksenia Sitnik

The winner of Junior Eurovision 2005 says that in Belarus they do not let us forget about that time - even now they say hello and recognize her on the streets.

- I’m still embarrassed and can’t get used to it, even though 10 years have passed! I never wanted to be popular, I sang because I wanted to sing- says Ksenia.

After the competition, little Ksyusha experienced difficult times. The girl simultaneously studied at a music school and a Minsk gymnasium, studied English in depth, hosted the “Our Five” program on the then LAD TV channel and at the same time managed to perform.

- I'm a creative person. I am currently studying journalism at the Anglo-American University in Prague. I always strive to learn a lot and expand my horizons. I chose the Czech Republic quite spontaneously, but for me it is important to be not at home - outside my comfort zone,- says Ksenia.

After receiving her bachelor's degree, the Belarusian plans to enroll in a master's program.

- I haven’t had any retakes yet,- Ksyusha smiles. - During the session I am in a “vacuum”; I do not exist for anyone. At first, of course, studying seemed difficult - all subjects were taught in English. It’s one thing to take a language test upon admission, but quite another to write a motivation letter or read Dostoevsky in English!

-Are you doing vocals now?

- Top most frequently asked questions!- the girl laughs. - No, I’m not singing now, but I have plans. During my studies, I realized that music is a part of me. Maybe this will not be my main occupation, but I will never give up vocals. In the future, I would not mind devoting myself to science journalism; the last thing I wrote was an article about antagonistic nationalism between North and South Korea.

In addition, the girl writes detective stories and poetry, but has not published anything yet - she is too self-critical.

Ksenia is in no hurry to arrange her personal life yet.

- The favorite question of all relatives is “when will you get married?” While I don’t plan anything, many people propose marriage and declare their love, especially on social networks. Honestly, it's flattering - it's nice for any girl. There is a stereotype that marriage is the final point of life. I do not perceive my family as a prison, a cage and the end of all my possibilities.

We were able to find almost all the Junior Eurovision participants on social networks. They have thousands of friends, many have new musical achievements.

2003

Olga Satsyuk

The first one is always the hardest. From our country, nine-year-old Olga Satsyuk appeared on the unbeaten stage with the song “Dance” and took 4th place.

Now the singer is 21 years old, and she loves heavier music. She performs with the Prime-band group, in which she is also the author of many songs, shoots videos and works as a teacher at the Discovery rock school. She also manages to paint, work as a TV presenter for Belarus 3, and study at BGUKI to become a pop vocalist.

2005

Ksenia Sitnik

Our first Junior Eurovision winner, Ksenia Sitnik, gained fame for a long time. At the time of Eurovision, the girl was only 10 years old. Her song “We Are Together” then sounded on mobile ringtones for a long time and turned on children at matinees. Now Ksenia is 20 years old, she is studying journalism in Prague, but she does not forget about vocals. Sometimes she comes to Belarus; on the streets of Minsk people still recognize her and ask for her autograph.

For some time nothing was heard about him, and then he surfaced on the TV show “Talent Academy. Third year." Now Andrey is a third-year student at BGUKI, majoring in Variety Art, he is 19 years old.

2007

Alexey Zhigalkovich

11-year-old Alexei Zhigalkovich repeated the feat of Ksenia Sitnik and took first place with the song “With Friends.” But over time, the guy realized that directing was closer to his spirit, and took up filming videos and short films. Now Alexey is a student at the Faculty of Screen Arts of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts. And recently, in one of the capital’s clubs, the 19-year-old director, together with Svyatoslav Poznyak, presented a music video of the Gipsy Band gypsy theater.
