Anniversary evening of Lenkom. Exclusive: Dmitry Pevtsov did the splits at the Lenkom anniversary

Leading Moscow theaters congratulated their legendary brother from Malaya Dmitrovka

There is always excitement in front of the entrance to Lenkom, even when there is a closed rehearsal for our own people (how will they know?), but at six in the evening on Tuesday, an hour before the anniversary evening, from cries of “is there an extra invitation?” There was nowhere to go; the entrance almost had to be taken by storm. This is what popular recognition means. And Mark Zakharov cautiously “hopes” that his theater “is not old-fashioned and is needed by the public.” Yes, much more necessary! On the street at the entrance, according to the administration, a madhouse is going on!

In the hall - all theatrical and non-theatrical Moscow, some famous people, one way or another “sympathizing” with the legendary theater, and the evening itself was to match - extremely unusual, mobile, sharp, stylish - in Lenkom style - built on an unexpected change of emotions: for In just two hours, the entire grandiose history of the theater and the country ran by without a break. No official words. Only the delight of victories and the pain of losses...

Everything was masterfully orchestrated with the participation of the first non-state award “Crystal Turandot”: the organizers decided to congratulate all the folk artists by presenting each with a charming crystal rose... Hence the name of the celebration: “Crystal Bouquet for Lenkom”.

It is clear that the evening had nothing to do with the main competition and nominations for “Turandot”, however, Mark Zakharov also received his statuette for his many years of contribution to the development of the theater.

But the most delicious thing is the small fragments of Lenkom performances (dance, music), which seem to pass the baton to each other in time and space; At the same time, old photographs of artists and priceless newsreels appear on the screen.

The evening was hosted by Alexandra Zakharova (in the guise of Princess Turandot) and Viktor Rakov (in the costume of Count Rezanov). By the way, they also participate in historical sketches and fragments (together with Pevtsov, Verzhbitsky, etc.); Alexander Zbruev delighted everyone with his poetry, Sergei Stepanchenko sang a number from Peer Gynt, Rakov performed a military song (in memory of how theater brigades went to the front line)...

It was very touching to observe three greetings from the “neighbors”: from the Moscow Art Theater, from the Vakhtangov Theater (theater and school) and from the Satire Theater - now, more than ever, this feeling of comradeship, the feeling of a unified cultural environment is important; especially such a date!

It’s not for nothing that Zakharov praises his youth, who have “synthetic talents”, unlike, perhaps, the artists of the previous school: with their energy they lit up the anniversary evening - like every performance - it became clear that 90 is not age and Lenkom, despite all tragic losses, young and active as ever.

From the history of Lenkom

The Moscow Lenkom Theater is located in a building built in 1909 for the Moscow Merchants Club. In 1918, the “House of Anarchy” settled within these walls, later - the Communist University, where in 1920 the Third All-Russian Congress of the RKSM took place, at which Ulyanov-Lenin spoke.

In 1927, on the initiative of the Moscow Komsomol, the Working Youth Theater (TRAM) was created in a building on Malaya Dmitrovka, which within four years received professional status, and a little later such famous Moscow Art Theater masters as Sudakov, Stanitsyn, Batalov, Khmelev joined its troupe .

In 1938, the theater was named after the Lenin Komsomol. At the same time, it was headed by the famous actor and director Ivan Bersenev. With his arrival, Simonov and Korneychuk, Lavrenev and Gorky, Turgenev and Rostand were staged here.

A bright period began in the life of the theater when Anatoly Efros became the main director. His productions of plays by Rozov and Radzinsky, Chekhov and Bulgakov generated great public resonance.

And finally, in 1973, its current artistic director, Mark Zakharov, came to the theater. His fame began with the very first performance - "Autograd XXI" - and continues to this day with the most recent premiere - "The Day of the Oprichnik". Between these productions there were such iconic ones as “Til”, “The Star and Death of Joaquin Murrieta”, “Juno and Avos”, “Crazy Day or The Marriage of Figaro”, “Royal Games”, “The Cherry Orchard”, “The Jester Balakirev”, “ Marriage", "Va-Bank", "Peer Gynt" and others.

Many of these performances still appear on the posters of the theater, which since 1990 has had the ringing name "Lenkom".
