The boy, born in Uganda, was doomed to suffer from a genetic disease called Crouzon syndrome. The bones of his skull are not fused together correctly, causing his head to have an abnormal, eerie shape.
In civilized conditions, the disease is treated within several months after birth, but the baby, located in the wilderness, was deprived of medical intervention and miraculously lived to his age. Today he is undergoing a course of treatment aimed at restoring the normal shape of the skull.
