If we talk about a person who is capable of performing absolutely any genre, then this will undoubtedly be the singer Vladislav Kosarev. Folk songs, classics, romances - that's all that is in his repertoire. His voice fascinates many listeners; it is about Kosarev that one can say that they cannot stop listening to him.

Vladislav Anatolyevich was born in the city of Smolensk on December 5, 1975. From an early age, his parents instilled in him a love of music. When his mother took him to music school, he had just turned six years old. Sang in the choir. After some time, he received a musical education at the Smolensk Glinka School. By the way, many artists studied at this school. Receiving a diploma provided a good start to his musical career. After that, he left his hometown and went to conquer Moscow. There Kosarev continued his studies and entered the Gnessin Academy.

The beginning of a creative journey

Vladislav began his career with the men's choir “Peresvet”. First he was a soloist, then he became a conductor. Having walked this path, Vladislav still realized that he would like to be a solo singer. The Peresvet team gave concerts in many cities of Russia, but they conquered not only this country, but also others, such as Poland, Estonia, Spain, France, Sweden. Many countries fell in love with the extraordinary baritone of singer Vladislav Kosarev.

At the beginning of 2009, he finally decided to start a solo career. The singer gave concerts in the largest halls of Moscow (P. I. Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, Great Hall of the Conservatory, Kremlin Palace of Congresses and many others). His songs could often be heard on many Russian channels.

The first concerts of singer Vladislav Kosarev were a great success, his incredible baritone captivated all the spectators, but it was the fact that he performed any genre that his fans remembered most of all.

Vladislav is very fond of composers of the 20th century, so he prefers to sing not pop music, which is heard almost everywhere, but compositions of a more classical style. The singer believes that there is very little of him on TV screens. He puts all of himself into all his songs, which is why they touch the soul. The most luxurious works from his repertoire, according to the audience, are the following: “Don’t wake her up at dawn”, “Bells”, “A blizzard is blowing along the street”.

The singer performs at all concerts where he is invited, and he also sings at various holidays, anniversaries and weddings. Works in partnership with many musical ensembles, such as the Rossiya ensemble, the pop symphony orchestra and many other wind and folk ensembles.

In 2017, he received the honorary title “Honored Artist of the Karelian Republic” and was awarded by the head of this state himself. Every year he takes part in the celebration of Family Day in Murom.

Personal life of singer Vladislav Kosarev

Many are very interested in the singer’s personal life, but no matter what provocative questions they ask him during an interview, he, like a tough nut to crack, doesn’t tell anything about it. Vladislav believes that such a topic as personal life is personal because no one should know anything about it.

Professional artist and singer (baritone) Vladislav Kosarev has a clear and soulful voice. The performer's repertoire is very diverse: romances, opera, foreign pop music, Russian folk songs. In his songs there lives the love that is in the heart of any Russian person when he thinks about his mother, about his grandfather - a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, or about his beloved. However, neither Vladislav Kosarev’s wife nor his personal life are ever put on display by the artist.

About the personal life of Vladislav Kosarev

In one of his interviews, Vladislav Kosarev honestly admitted that he tries to avoid issues related to his personal life. “This sensitive topic has been and will be difficult for any artist, so I don’t discuss it,” he says. — The personal life of Vladislav Kosarev should always remain personal, and this is important for any person, and not just for an artist; therefore, my personal relationships cannot be made public by discussing them throughout the country.”

The life of an artist, according to the deep conviction of Vladislav Kosarev, should always be dedicated to the people. He had to travel half the country, performing in various cities and villages. This requires enormous dedication, which is why singers and musicians who devote their lives to creativity, most often, when asked about their personal lives, with their characteristic sense of humor, answer that they are married on stage. And this is not bravado, but rather the inner state of the artist’s soul.

Vladislav Kosarev's wife, his parents

The singer speaks about his family with great warmth and love. Vladislav Kosarev’s wife is not a myth, but if the singer himself does not want to talk about this topic, then fans of his talent, paying tribute to their idol, should understand the artist. Everyone in the friendly Kosarev family sings. Parents played a big role in the singer’s creative destiny. Both Vladislav’s mother and father worked at the factory, but they themselves sang beautifully, often performed on the stage of their native cultural center and taught their son to sing.

“To be honest, I don’t remember how or when I started singing, but there were always songs around me. My beloved granny sang, she is a wonderful teacher, and led amateur performances for a long time. I learned war songs from my grandfather, and my mother loved listening to the songs of such wonderful singers as Muslim Magomayev, Georg Ots and Eduard Khil,” recalls Kosarev.

“We often sang on holidays. Once, when I was six, during a concert I sang the famous “Cruiser Aurora”, while experiencing a deep feeling of delight, which did not escape my mother’s attention. Soon she sent me to a music school, where I learned to play the piano and sang in the choir.”

The children's choir's repertoire included many songs by the wonderful composer Alexandra Pakhmutova from her famous musical cycle “Gagarin's Constellation”. Now, many years later, Vladislav Kosarev often performs the same, his favorite songs. This was the case, for example, in Saratov in 2011, when the singer received an invitation to perform at a gala concert in honor of the sixtieth anniversary of Yuri Gagarin’s first flight into space.

Creative biography of the singer and artist

Vladislav's musical studies began at the age of six, every day for several hours. In 2001, Kosarev received an academic education and began performing in the Peresvet group. This is the famous choir, where the future singer grew up for eight long years, not only as a performer, but also as a choral conductor. Since 2009, Vladislav Kosarev begins his solo career.

Now he is a performer of pop songs. He is applauded by the audience at the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, the Great Hall of the Conservatory, etc. He performs throughout the country. Vladislav records songs for films, he is a welcome guest on television shows and holiday concerts on TV.

The artist selects his concert program very carefully and rehearses for a long time. The performer's extraordinary charm and talent help him find his way to the viewer's heart. For his work, Vladislav Kosarev was awarded the First Prize and the title of Laureate at the First International Yurlov Conducting Competition, awarded the Golden Order “Service to Art” and the Order “Faith, Hope, Love”.

Vladislav Kosarev is a singer, baritone, laureate of various competitions, guest soloist of the ensemble named after L. Zykina "Russia". The artist performs romances, classics, Soviet and folk songs, folklore. This is very difficult in the conditions of the dominance of pop and chanson.

Biography

Vladislav Kosarev was born in the city of Smolensk. When he was six years old, his mother took him to a music school, where he sang in the boys' choir. Then Vladislav graduated from the M. I. Glinka Music College in his hometown. At that time it was one of the best in the country. Many outstanding people are graduates of this particular educational institution. The music school provided a strong base for continuing education and developing talent. Vladislav was advised by his conducting teacher, Lyudmila Borisovna Zaitseva, to go to Moscow and continue his studies at the Gnessin Academy.

Creative path

Vladislav Kosarev began studying music at the age of 6. The baritone dreamed of becoming a singer since childhood. In 2001, the artist graduated from the choral conducting class. Vladislav began his career in a team called “Peresvet”. This is a male choir. First he worked there as a soloist, and then as a conductor.

V. Kosarev is the winner of the International Yurlov Competition. It is held among conductors.

The artist began his solo career in 2009. At one of the concerts of the Peresvet choir, when Vladislav was still working in this group, Alla Goncharova (chief editor of the Romance of Romance program) came to him backstage. It was she who advised V. Kosarev to start a solo career.

The artist still does not stop studying vocals with teachers in order to improve his skills.

Vladislav believes that his parents made a great contribution to his development as a vocalist. Mom and Dad worked in a factory, but were endowed with abilities. It was they who instilled the artist’s taste and taught him to love only good music.

Repertoire

Vladislav Kosarev has a fairly extensive repertoire. He sings Russian folk and Soviet songs, romances, arias from operas and operettas, as well as from musicals, as he considers them beautiful and high-quality music, which is so lacking on the stage today. Although these works were written many decades ago, they will never age; they are destined for eternal life. They are honest, sincere and real. And what is heard today every day on TV screens are songs that in a couple of years everyone will forget. Today Vladislav is in search. He is looking for quality songs written in the 21st century. But he finds very few of them, unfortunately. And to sing romances, works by A. Babajanyan and A. Pakhmutova together with low-grade pop music in one concert is, in his opinion, blasphemy.

Personal life and musical preferences

Vladislav Kosarev is very fond of classics and music of the Soviet era. His favorite composers of the 20th century are A. Babajanyan, I. Dunaevsky, A. Pakhmutova, E. Ptichkin and many others. The performers whom the singer reveres are Yuri Gulyaev, Muslim Magomayev, Lyudmila Zykina, Andrea Bocelli, Tom Jones, Georg Ots, Eduard Khil, Freddie Mercury, Lyudmila Gurchenko, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra and so on. Vladislav’s favorite artist is V. Kosarev, who honors him because he performed every song like a small performance. He may not have had much vocal ability, but he demonstrated an exemplary approach to the performing arts.

Vladislav Kosarev does not advertise his personal life and avoids this topic in all interviews. As the artist himself says, he does not do this in order to create an aura of mystery around himself. The singer simply believes that personal life should not be in the public domain.

Vladislav believes that such a topic as personal life is personal because no one should know anything about it.

I bring to your attention an interview with my favorite artist, a wonderful baritone, our fellow countryman - Vladislav KOSAREV.
Exclusive material was published on the Smolenskaya Gazeta website, and I am happy to borrow it from there. The author is art critic Natalia KRASILNIKOVA. Thank her very much!
For everyone who is interested: Vladislav Kosarev will sing for the people of Smolensk on March 8 in the Glinka Concert Hall. We will see the program “Music of the Heart” with the Smolensk Russian Folk Orchestra named after Dubrovsky (artistic director and chief conductor - Artyom Belov).
A year ago I attended Kosarev’s concert, and the musician made an indelible impression on me. Therefore, there is only one piece of advice: don’t miss it!

Every journalist has heroes who become part of his destiny. When you grow into the personality of the person you are writing about, so much so that the boundaries between profession and life blur. Singer Vladislav Kosarev is one of these heroes for me.
Why is Vladislav’s art so captivating and captivating? A voice of rare, amazing beauty? Yes, no doubt. But surely there are singers with more beautiful voices! Dramatic skill? And this is true, but today singers without acting talent simply cannot survive in the music market! I think the phenomenon of Kosarev is in that inexhaustible LIGHT OF THE SOUL, which flows from his eyes, saturates the timbre of his voice and his entire stage behavior. After the concerts Vl. Kosarev and communication with him, the world is seen through different eyes, and you begin to understand that there is always a way out - even from the most seemingly hopeless situations. What a powerful charge of positive energy you need to have in order to create light at the end of the tunnel! Honestly, I don’t know any praise for the Artist higher than this!
Vladislav Kosarev - Personality. He is a smart, deep, extraordinary conversationalist. I am sure that Smolensk listeners, who are rightfully proud that this unique artist is their fellow countryman, will find Kosarev’s thoughts on life and work interesting and useful.

Start
- Vladislav, you are the winner of the First International Competition of Choral Conductors named after Alexander Yurlov. I have not found any detailed information about this competition anywhere. Meanwhile, this is the start of your career. Can you tell us more about the competition?
- The competition was held in Yekaterinburg in 2001. I was finishing my assistant internship at the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music and had already been working as a choirmaster in the Peresvet men’s chamber choir for a year. I had, one might say, a fighting feeling that was not fully realized: in 1999, while studying in my fifth year at Gnesinka, I went to a choir conducting competition in the city of Salavat in Bashkortostan and received a diploma IIdegrees. However, I wanted more.
The Yurlov Competition had a traditional structure and was held in three rounds: the first - conducting; the second is working with the choir; the third is a concert performance of the piece with the choir with whom we worked in the second round. For me, this competition is interesting because for the first time in the history of choral conductor competitions, the first places were shared by graduates of the same educational institution - the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music. The Grand Prix was awarded to Alexander Solovyov, who then worked as a choirmaster in the Chamber Choir of Vladimir Minin (now he is the conductor of the Bolshoi Theater), and the first prize went to your humble servant. Sasha and I studied in Gnesinka with the same professor - Vladimir Onufrievich Semenyuk.
At the Yurlov competition, I worked with the chamber choir “Lik” of the city of Yekaterinburg. I conducted Rachmaninov's "Spring", Taneyev's "On the Ship", and in the third round - one number from Rachmaninov's "Liturgy".
The chairman of the jury in Yekaterinburg was Vladimir Nikolaevich Minin, and it was he who presented me with the laureate’s diploma I awards. Victory at the Yurlov competition gave me the opportunity to become the conductor of the Peresvet choir after a year of working there as a choirmaster.

Be an artist
- How important is the assessment of the people around you - both your creativity and your personal qualities?
- There is a circle of people whose opinion is extremely important to me. These are my parents, teachers, close friends and some of my viewers. I really value the trust of the audience, who constantly come to my concerts in anticipation of something new, interesting, in anticipation of a miracle. But I cannot say that I monitor information about myself on the Internet - in particular, blog posts, comments on social networks. I try to live according to Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin, he, in my opinion, gave universal advice: “To the command of God, O Muse, be obedient! Without fear of insult, without demanding a crown, you accepted praise and slander indifferently and do not challenge the fool!”
As for assessing my personal qualities, I again focus on a group of people whose opinions are very important to me. I am not an antisocial person and, it seems to me, I do not violate generally accepted moral standards. I do what I think is right and I live what I think is right.

- By the way, about the rules! Recently I heard on one of the TV programs: “The most terrible things on the planet happen because people follow the rules.” How do you feel about RULES?
- I fundamentally disagree with this statement! By breaking certain rules, going against their conscience, people create a huge number of problems for themselves and those around them. I believe that the question is not whether people follow the rules, but what guides them in doing certain things. According to my observations, people commit a huge number of unseemly, often vile, acts precisely because they DO NOT FOLLOW any rules, but live without any moral guidelines.

- What impulses do you need for creativity - besides women, of course?
- I try to find these impulses in all manifestations of life - even in the most, at first glance, everyday ones. It could be watching the cat, a terrible bully, living in my house; rustle of leaves; a random glance from a stranger on the street; a fragment of some phrase that I accidentally saw over the shoulder of a man reading on the subway. Usually, while walking down the street or riding the subway, you try to take a break from work, but after such unexpected impulses, on the contrary, you want to plunge into creativity with renewed vigor!
I try to constantly expand the range of sources of my inspiration. I recently re-watched the film “Three Poplars on Plyushchikha” again. For several weeks now, I have had the look of Oleg Efremov before my eyes, when his hero is sitting in the Volga, leaning his elbows on the steering wheel... In this look is the Universe, it’s GENIUS!!! Now I often remember this scene when I work on the Soviet pop repertoire.

- In the interview you talk quite a lot about your self-criticism. At the same time, on Radio Petersburg, answering host Natalya Zavyalova, you literally said the following: “I’m a terrible Samoyed!” What do you think is the difference between self-criticism and self-criticism?
- It’s very simple - a self-critical person does not have to be a Samoyed at all: he can see both positive and negative traits of himself and outline effective ways to correct shortcomings. The Samoyed is busy with eternal self-abasement, searching for qualities that he may not have. At the same time, he mainly blames himself for all the troubles in the world. This is destructive to the individual. It is very difficult for Samoyeds to survive in our reality, so I believe that a person must fight such manifestations.
Speaking about myself, in the first years of my solo career I was hampered by my self-criticism, but gradually I overcame it.

- What personality type do you think artists are at risk of star fever?
- People who were not loved in childhood and who, for various reasons, feel like second-class citizens. Then, as compensation, “star fever” arises - as a way of false self-affirmation. I say this based on my own observations: life gave me meetings with real titans - Svyatoslav Richter, Mstislav Rostropovich, Sergei Skripka and many other Creators. They are unusually simple and natural, because they don’t have to prove anything to anyone. The personality on stage is always visible - even if it is a student.
I believe that stardom is a kind of disorder, when you elevate yourself to the rank of an idol, an idol.

- In one of the conversations, in response to my question: “What quality do you value most in people?” you answered: “Cheerfulness.” But even a scoundrel can be cheerful. Moreover, according to my observations, scoundrels are often very charming. How to differentiate?
- I don’t think that a scoundrel is capable of being a cheerful person! He is deprived of the gift of loving life, the world, people; he is, in principle, incapable of being open and sincere. How can he enjoy life if by his actions and actions he demonstrates hatred towards it??

Minkov's masterpiece
- In the summer of 2013, “Culture” showed “Romance of a Romance”, dedicated to the memory of Mark Minkov. You performed Minkov’s composition based on the poems of Yevgeny Yevtushenko “Listening to Solveig’s Song.” I consider this piece one of your most significant creative victories in recent times. Can you find out the history of the appearance of Minkov's masterpiece - Yevtushenko in your repertoire?
- The editor-in-chief of “Romance of Romance” Alla Sergeevna Goncharova called me and offered to perform this piece. She said that the song is practically unknown, although at one time it was sung by Muslim Magomayev and Lev Leshchenko. When preparing new material, I never listen to recordings of other singers or watch videos, so as not to absorb other people's intonations. I looked at the notes of “Solveig” and realized that I was sick of this composition! The song is complex not vocally, but emotionally and figuratively: in three minutes you need to be able to convey the turn from life to death.
While working on the song, I wondered: WHAT can pierce a person so that death loses its horror for him? And I found the answer: only conviction, unshakable faith that our departure to another world is not the end. Minkov's song has a very clear sequence of events: a man lies and dies. Remember the very first words: “I’m lying with my eyes closed in a deserted room. And the pain is the bitterest, and the pain is the sweetest...” The hero’s pain is so terrible that it becomes sweet! And next to it is another world, where there are pine trees, where the sun is, where there is life, light, love. Grieg's "Song of Solveig", in my opinion, in this case becomes the voice of an angel, a saving thread for the hero. A person is on the verge of death: he is devastated, exhausted, sick. And a miracle happens that pushes this darkness away from him and brings him back to life. It seems to me that Grieg’s “Solveig’s Song” by itself cannot have such power. Only the Will of God, revealed through some event, can become this force.
In the finale (“When I die - and I will die, and I will die: that’s how it will have to be!”) I did not hear hopelessness and doom. The hero matures to understand: it’s not scary to leave this life when you know that there is another world, where there is no pain and suffering, where you will be accepted and forgiven!

Fame and luxury
- I once heard from Dmitry Dibrov that a person’s life in the modern world is based on four pillars: success, fame, money, luxury. What content do you put into each of these concepts? How significant is each of them to you?
- Of these concepts, only one is valuable to me - LUXURY. I put into it the meaning that Antoine de Saint-Exupéry spoke about: “The only luxury is the luxury of human communication.” MONEY for me is just a tool that allows me to solve various life and creative problems. Money comes to a person, as a rule, when he does his job professionally and efficiently. I understand that my view is somewhat idealistic, and many would argue with me - especially in our country! In our country, unfortunately, people who do their job masterfully do not always receive a decent reward for it. This is especially noticeable, alas, in the spheres of culture, medicine and education.
SUCCESS for me is an integral part of the fact that you are doing something very necessary, important and meaningful for people. For me, the concept of “success” is somewhat synonymous with the concept of “in demand”. In the end, only the person himself can evaluate whether he is successful or not. Both I and you probably know people who live in luxurious houses, drive prestigious foreign cars, relax in five-star hotels... But if such a person gets up in the morning with the thought that he will have to go back to a job he doesn’t like, even if it brings a solid income, he can should we consider it successful? From the point of view of society - most likely, yes. From my point of view - definitely not. Such a person does not experience JOY, which cannot be bought with money. I am convinced that joy is born when a person is busy doing what he loves and communicates with like-minded people. I recently read from a psychologist: “Joy is a by-product of properly organized activity.” I think it's brilliant! I would say the same about success. As for FAME, again, for me it is not a goal, but a consequence. When people need your creativity - on the one hand; on the other hand, the quality of your musical product will be modern and commercial in the best sense - then fame will come. This is ideal. Although I often see that fame does not always come to truly gifted and worthy people.

- Admit it honestly: aren’t you annoyed that you don’t have the media exposure that some less talented artists than you have?
- What does media have to do with it? For me, only one thing is important: most of my concerts are sold out. And I also have a goal that I am moving towards. This is the only thing that matters to me!
