Go with the kids on the weekend. All Entertainment

Winter has come, and it's time to decide where to go with your child for the winter holidays in Moscow. Since there are many different events and entertainments taking place in the capital, we advise you to start from your child’s personality traits.

Little smart guy

If your child is curious, take young Pochemuchka to interesting events where children are introduced to science or taught children's wisdom in a playful way.

One of the best solutions will be the children's scientific discovery center InnoPark. This is an interactive museum where you can touch exhibits, press buttons, spin propellers, pull levers, in other words, explore.

An equally interesting place for a teenager is the Aerodinamika entertainment center. It consists of 4 floors and 2500 m² dedicated to dynamic entertainment, where every visitor will find something to their liking. All activities of the center use advanced technologies for a safe and comfortable immersion into the world of active entertainment without special training.

Where can you go for a walk with your child so that the walk turns out to be fun, educational, and interesting? And not only for the children, but also for their parents? Together with a philologist, local historian and teacher, we have put together 5 fascinating routes around Moscow that will turn any walk into an exciting journey through unknown facts about our capital.

Route 1 “Around the Kremlin”

VOSKRESENSKIY GATE - GEORGE THE VICTORIOUS - BELL TOWER OF IVAN THE GREAT - ARCHANGELSK CATHEDRAL - ASSUMPTION CATHEDRAL - ANNOUNCEMENT CATHEDRAL - TSING BELL - TSING GUNS - · BOROVITSKAYA SQUARE

To get to Red Square, you need to go through the Resurrection Gate. A small chapel is attached to them. And the gate is named so because on the side of Red Square there is an icon of the “Resurrection of Christ” mounted on it.

Try to count with your child how many images of St. George the Victorious are located near the Kremlin. Ask why there are so many of them here? The fact is that St. George the Victorious is a symbol of Moscow, its coat of arms. It turns out that the name Georgy is an old version of the name Yuri. Namely, Yuri was the name of the prince who built the very first wooden fortress on the banks of the Moscow River. It turns out that Moscow was built by George! And another Georgy - Zhukov - several centuries later did a lot to save not only Moscow, but the entire country from the Nazis. For this, a monument was erected to him not far from the Resurrection Gate.

On the upper platform of the Ivan the Great Bell Tower there are 34 bells. From there you have a wonderful view of Moscow.

And here is the Tsar Cannon, the largest in our country. She is almost five hundred years old! This bombard was made specifically to protect the Kremlin: it was supposed to fire huge stone cannonballs at enemies. True, in five centuries she fired only one shot...

Opposite the Borovitskaya Tower, on Starovagankovsky Hill, stands one of the most beautiful Moscow houses. It is called the Pashkov House after the surname of the first owner. What is he famous for? Firstly, it was built on a hill, and the owners could look down on the towers and cathedrals!

Route 2 “Around Red Square”

BASILY'S TEMPLE - MONUMENT TO MININ AND POZHARSKY - TEMPLE OF BARBARA THE GREAT MARTYR - OLD ENGLISH COURT - St. Basil's CHURCH - Znamensky MONASTERY - CHAMBERS OF THE ROMANOV BOYARS - SYNODAL PRINTING HOUSE - GREAT THEATER R

Interesting facts to tell your child along this route.

The temple has two names. Most often it is called St. Basil's Cathedral, because the temple was built over the grave of an unusual person - the holy fool Vasily. The second name of the temple is the Cathedral of the Intercession on the Moat, or the Intercession Cathedral. Why "on the Moat"? Because right next to the walls of the Kremlin there used to be a deep ditch. Why “Pokrova”? Because in 1552, on the day of the Feast of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the troops of Ivan the Terrible took the Tatar city of Kazan.

From the inside, St. Basil's Cathedral resembles a medieval castle with many rooms. The secret is that ten small churches are hidden here. Each of them bears the name of the saint or holiday on whose day the most important battles for Kazan took place.

Varvarka Street begins not far from St. Basil's Cathedral. Where did the strange name come from - Varvarka? Maybe barbarians lived here? No. Take a closer look with your child at the sign on the wall of the temple, located at the very beginning of the street. This is the Church of Barbara the Great Martyr, which gave the name to the street. The merchants who lived in Kitai-Gorod considered Saint Barbara their patroness.

Route 3 “Along the banks of the Moscow River”

STATE MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS NAMED AFTER A. S. PUSHKIN - TEMPLE OF CHRIST THE SAVIOR - HOUSE-FAIRY TALE (PERTSOVA PROFIT HOUSE) - STATE MUSEUM OF A. S. PUSHKIN - MUSEUM OF I. S. TURGENEV - CENTRAL HOUSE OF ARTIST

Interesting facts to tell your child along this route.

Alexander Pushkin has nothing to do with the Museum of Fine Arts

arts, but Muscovites know this museum as Pushkinsky. There are such paradoxes! The museum houses paintings, engravings, statues, furniture and household items created outside our country.

The Cathedral of Christ the Savior is as well-known a symbol of Moscow as the Kremlin. The history of the temple is amazing. In the middle of the 19th century, there was a church on this site, on the walls of which were inscribed thousands of names of officers who died in the war with Napoleon. It was a monument temple, it looked almost the same as the one you see today.

House 12 (Prechistenka St., 12/2) is the Alexander Pushkin Museum. Previously, the noble Seleznev family lived here, as the coat of arms preserved on the façade reminds us. We definitely recommend visiting the “Pushkin’s Fairy Tales” playrooms. There is the real Buyan Island, and King Guidon, and other fairy tale heroes.

Opposite Gorky Park there is another park - Muzeon. In addition to plants, this park is home to... statues! They once decorated the streets of Moscow, and then they ended up here. There are monuments to Soviet leaders and unusual street sculptures. Ask your child if he has ever seen a rock turtle? And the bronze hare? In Muzeon you can meet such unusual animals!

Route 4 “Zamoskvorechye. On the right bank of the river"

CHURCH OF GREGORY OF NEOCESARIA - · MUSEUM OF A. N. OSTROVSKY · - WRITERS' HOUSE - FOUNTAIN "INSPIRATION" - DEMIDOVS' ESTATE -

TRETYAKOV GALLERY - TEMPLE OF THE RESURRECTION OF CHRIST - MONUMENT TO PETER I

Interesting facts to tell your child along this route.

Let your child carefully examine the square tiles decorating the walls of the Church of St. Gregory of Neocaesarea - they form an ornament reminiscent of a fantastic flower or a peacock feather. Can you count how many tiles decorate the temple? Phew, an impossible task, because there are almost 9 thousand of them here!

Malaya Ordynka will lead to the Tretyakovskaya metro station. Walk a little to the left along the Hordynsky dead end - and you will find yourself in a small square, next to which many interesting sights have accumulated. And the first one is house 7 in Lavrushinsky Lane. It is called the Writers' House: many famous writers of our country lived here. And next to the house is the “Inspiration” fountain. Ask your child what this word means. Take a close look at the images on the fountain. Do you suddenly want to draw a picture? This is inspiration!

The main treasure of the Demidov estate is one of the most beautiful Moscow fences. It was created three centuries ago at the Ural factories owned by the owners of this house. Who did the masters depict on this fence? Ask the child to find butterflies on the fence.

Not far from the Tretyakov Gallery, in Second Kadashevsky Lane, stands the Church of the Resurrection of Christ - one of the most beautiful Zamoskvoretsky churches. And before it was even more elegant: not only the domes were covered with gold, but all the decorations made of white stone were painted yellow and also looked gold.

Route 5 “Parks and estates”

KOLOMENSKOYE - IZMAILOVO - TSARITSYNO - KUSKOVO - VDNKh - SPOROVIOVY GORY - VICTORY PARK ON POLONNAYA MOUNTAIN AND PANORAMA MUSEUM "BATTLE OF BORODINOSK"

The Palace of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich in Arkhangelskoye - this amazing building appeared quite recently, in 2010, on the site of a long-destroyed wooden tower-palace (it stood in Kolomenskoye in the 17th century).

The name of this place - Tsaritsyno - allows us to guess that it once belonged to the tsars. Or rather, to Tsarina Catherine II. The history of Tsaritsyn is incredibly complex and confusing, and it will be easier to understand it if you visit this place.

Catherine did not like the royal palace, built by Vasily Bazhenov. Among the reasons cited are dissatisfaction with the layout and the rebellious nature of the architect... By order of the empress, the palace was dismantled! And a few years ago it was rebuilt.

The Kuskovo estate is sometimes called the pearl of Europe. Indeed, the magnificent palace of Count Sheremetev and the garden around it have been preserved almost unchanged. Kuskovo is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates the beauty of noble estates.

Your child has probably heard that Moscow is called “the city on seven hills.” it is read that Vorobyovy Gory is just one of these hills. Travelers who came to Moscow a hundred, two hundred, three hundred years ago were delighted with the wonderful view of the entire city that opened from the Sparrow Hills.

On the eve of weekends, holidays, winter, autumn, all parents are worried about the question of where to go with their child. Many people make short trips to Moscow to introduce their children to the sights of our capital. Finding where to go with a child in Moscow is not so difficult; the capital offers an extensive list of interesting places. Future Professions Camp StarChallenge

Through a story about space exploration, we develop social skills in teenagers:

  • ability to set goals and achieve results,
  • take responsibility for your decisions,
  • work as a team

How is #StarChallenge camp unique?

We don't have animators or story lines. We are not a theater or a one-time quest. We create an educational environment in which children with interest solve problems that are coming at them from all sides and are important for the survival and development of a space station on a distant planet. This is a metaphorical representation of adult life.

The plot depends entirely on the decisions of the children, the realization of this will not come immediately, so 3 days of camp are required. Having figured out the “zest”, children are drawn into the game, generating incredible solutions, discovering new talents. This is a unique immersion in the environment of a collective response to the challenge of the external environment, so we have no winners and losers.

At the same time, like in the Mad Tea Party with Alice, you can change your role, try new professions and see how this affects the team’s performance. So the superficial idea “Oh, it’s about robots, my child won’t be interested” is wrong. In the morning he will start, for example, as a journalist, and by the evening he will become the Minister of Industry. In a short time, a teenager tests his abilities in the areas of professional activity of the present and the foreseeable future.

Only in such conditions can one effectively train soft-skills - universal skills that will be useful to them in any business:

  • - systems thinking,
  • - hypothesis testing,
  • - acceptance of responsibility,
  • - bringing things to an end,
  • - communication skills.

This is personal baggage that helps you solve work problems easily and productively and constantly move forward. The trouble is that soft skills are not taught anywhere. And our camp undertakes to fill this gap!

What awaits you at the camp?

  • Master classes: More than 10 hours of intensive training in current professional areas. Unit economics, programming, robotics, media journalism and others.
  • Social simulator: A game form with dozens of roles, quests and challenges that will help you master the key skills of a successful person: systems thinking, taking responsibility, getting things done, communication skills.
  • Complex world: We have a lot of robots, blasters, a space flight simulator, an internal communication network, an interactive map of the planet, an alien invasion and a Christmas tree.
