After rehearsing his performance several times, Sting retired to the hotel to rest for a while. At the closing of the competition, the British singer sang several of his hits at the very beginning of the concert, and then immediately left for the airport.

Twice 30 years

Oleg Gazmanov celebrated the 30th anniversary of his creative activity on the stage of the New Wave Hall. That evening, all the Russian pop stars congratulated the singer on his holiday and his past anniversary (Gazmanov turned 65 in June) and sang his songs. The host of the evening was the son of Oleg Mikhailovich Rodion. And, of course, his whole family came to Sochi to support the singer: his wife Marina, stepson Philip and daughter Marianna.

The second place was deservedly awarded to the Ukrainian Galina Bezruk, and the third place went to Giorgi Nadibaidze from Georgia. The closing ceremony was overshadowed only by a small scandal that Ksenia Sobchak created behind the scenes. The TV presenter apparently overestimated her strength a little; it’s not so easy to spend half a day on your feet while in the last stages of pregnancy. Many noted that Ksenia looked very tired, but she did not show it on stage. But the TV presenter’s nerves could not stand it.
