Cow outline drawing. How to draw a cow with a pencil for beginners

There is a haystack in the middle of the yard, a pitchfork in front, a broom in the back. Remember this riddle? Well, about the pitchfork and broom - it seems clear, but I, as a city resident in general, would not have guessed what kind of hay it was. I would rather say about the shape of a cow: barrel. Although I’ve seen cows up close many times, I’m still not used to it and I’m afraid: they’re so big and horned. Have you heard how cows moo? They don’t even remotely resemble the cute “moo-moo”, they emit such a trumpet roar that it’s just enough to intimidate a predator.

Well, let's refresh our memories about cows and - closer to the point: let's take up pencil and paper.

How should we draw a cow?

How-how - from the side! Directly in front - in the forehead, you know, depicting the body from an angle is difficult for children, but from the tail end we’ll just refrain. I draw based on a picture I found on the Internet:

Drawing a cow step by step - lesson 1

We take a rectangular sheet of paper, place it horizontally and mark the cow’s figure with a pencil: the back is flat, almost horizontal, the sacrum is slightly higher than the shoulders.

I forgot to mention: no matter what kind of meat and dairy cow it was, the pelvic bones of those that I saw protruded like muscles, despite their general fatness. Let's denote the belly with an arc.

Let's put our legs together, as often happens - the front legs stand side by side straight, the hind legs are slightly apart. Cows are artiodactyls, that is, the leg ends with two toes, the nails of which are turned into hooves. I myself, although I know this perfectly well theoretically, I have a hard time believing and admire the diversity of evolutionarily evolved modes of transportation. We won’t go into detail about the structure of the legs, but I beg you to respect the bends.

Although the front legs look, so to speak, simpler, they have joints, and we need to take into account that they are at the same level. I note that the hind legs look more complex and children usually draw them more responsibly, trying to convey the structural features; here it is important not to lose sight of the fact that the legs are the same in length, thickness and shape.

We have legs, we’ll provide the cow with a tail so that she has something to ward off flies and, once again marveling at the protruding pelvic bones, we move forward. The neck is powerful and has a fold of skin underneath. The head is very large, the eyes are large, widely spaced (and covered with beautiful eyelashes), the nostrils are large, but not inverted, the mouth does not open wide (cannot be compared with predators), the ears are mobile and resemble a pipe or bag with a wide mouth. We draw them under the horns (you need to make sure that the children do not move their ears onto their neck or forehead). Horns come in different shapes, I mostly saw horns with a grip and was always glad that cows rarely use them: these weapons look serious.

Here is the finished drawing of the cow.

We figured out how to draw a cow from the right side, but don’t be lazy, comrades, there is also a left side.

Lesson on step by step drawing of a cow - 2

Forward and to the sounds of mu, draw a cow with its head to the left. Fastening the material will be easier: the cow looks quite familiar. The pencil drawing turned out to be barely noticeable, I will justify myself by saying that the construction lines are auxiliary and are subsequently erased.

And let's clarify the details:

Oh, what am I, I almost forgot the udder! Oh-oh-oh, why did we get a cow? They wanted milk!

However, I am not alone. When I ask students how a cow differs from a bull, children rarely remember the presence of an udder. Mostly they suggest that there are differences in...guess...

Color and nutrition!

It seems funny to me to listen to these conjectures of city kids, but I myself also forgot the udder, and it’s no wonder: somehow I never had the opportunity to see how cows are milked. So, better late than never: draw a large udder, milk-bearing and with four nipples.

Why do we need these drawings? Well, I immediately remembered the fairy tale “Khavroshechka” and... somehow I don’t remember anymore. Even strange.

And here is another drawing “Cow” based on our lesson:

Question for readers: who else knows good fairy tales about cows? Please write to me, I will add it to my collection of fairy tales.

But this is not entirely true, because these creatures have certain structural features that should definitely be taken into account.
Before moving on to studying the question of how to draw a cow step by step, it is worth preparing all the tools and materials necessary for this:
1). Multi-colored pencils in a set;

4. On the top of the animal’s head, draw not too large horns, and next to them – ears;
5. On the cow’s face, draw large eyes, as well as nostrils and a mouth. Draw the outlines of the animal's head;
6. Draw the back, neck and tail. Please note that the skin forms folds on the neck and chest of a cow;
7. Draw the front legs of the animal, not forgetting to make them somewhat rounded where the joints are located;
8. Draw the hind legs of the cow, which have a characteristic curve;
9. Outline the abdomen. And then draw the udder;

11. Use a black pencil to color the eye and nostril of the cow. Color the horns gray and shade the animal’s face in places;
12. Use a flesh-colored pencil to shade the inside of the animal’s ears and its nose. Using red-brown pencils, draw spots on the cow's body. Using black, lightly darken those areas of the body that have no spots;
13. Color the cow’s udder with a flesh-colored pencil and shade in places with a brownish-red pencil;
14. To prevent a cow drawn with a pencil and then painted from floating in the air, color the grass with a green pencil.

More than 9 thousand years ago, people domesticated the cow, and the animal became a nurse for humans, providing a tasty and healthy drink - milk. In gratitude for this, the people composed poems, songs, and epics about the cow and affectionately called her “burenushka”. To this day, children and adults love dairy products - sour cream, cottage cheese, cheese, yogurt, and the good cow is a character in many stories, fairy tales, and cartoons. If your child wants to draw a cow after watching the film, help him using our tips.

How to draw a cartoon cow

It’s not difficult to depict a cartoon cow, prepare a pencil, eraser, paper, markers and get started:

  • in the center of the sheet, describe a horizontal oval - the future head of the animal. Step back a little and outline an ellipse - the base of the body. Connect both figures with straight rays, inscribing a small oval in the top one;
  • combine the transition of two circles with smooth lines. Erase the unnecessary outline and get a sketch reminiscent of a porcini mushroom;

  • Attach two legs to the bottom of the body, similar to the neck of a plastic bottle with a twisted cap. From the left side of the body, draw two curved lines up, connecting them at the ends with a bracket, from the right - lower them down and also combine - you get the upper limbs. In the center of the abdomen, mark a circle - there will be an udder;

  • on the head, draw protrusions-horns and ears, like birch leaves. Make the eyes out of three circles that fit into each other. Draw out an oval horizontally - the place of the nose, place the nostrils on it in the form of two vertical ellipses. Next, mark four hooks on the tummy and get an udder;

This is interesting (tell your child): it has been proven that the lines on a cow’s nose are as individual as human fingerprints.

  • draw a smile line with a bracket, darken the pupils, bend the eyelashes, add a bang on the head between the horns. Mark the hooves with segments, and make the cow spotted, scattering the marks throughout the animal;

  • on the neck, draw a smooth line parallel to the oval of the head, in the middle of which draw a bell, similar to an overturned tulip bud. Color the figure with felt-tip pens, choosing colors as you wish.

We will draw this cow using ovals and circles. Take paper, pencils - plain, brown, pink, gel pen, eraser.

  • Sketch out an oval body on a landscape sheet, and from it to the left draw a small vertical ellipse with a transverse line. From the oval, lower two pairs of hare's feet - cow's legs.

  • Draw out the ears on the animal’s head with two semi-ovals, and place triangular figures – horns – between them. Draw circles for the eyes and nostrils, scatter oval spots over the cow’s body and place a semicircle near the right ear.

  • Draw an udder from the bottom of the body - a figure similar to an inverted sail, lower two parallel lines down from behind the cow, ending with a flower - the tail. Outline the drawing with black ink and color the udder and the middle of the ears pink, make the horns and tip of the tail brown, and the spots black.

How to draw a funny cow

Take a pencil, paper, paints and follow our instructions.

  • In the middle of the sheet, draw a small protrusion-mound, and move a bean-like figure towards it from below. Draw out a ray of smile, put two commas - nostrils, above - black circles - eyes.

  • Using a carved leaf, draw bangs, protruding sausage-ears, crescent-shaped horns, outline a body that looks like a circle with the top cut off.

  • Write four inverted letters P - legs, lift up a thin ponytail with a daisy brush at the tip.

  • Spot and color your work with paints.

Did you like drawing? Then imagine a little - make a cow chewing grass, hang a bell on its neck, draw a funny udder, midges curling behind its tail and - the funny picture is ready.

This week my children and I studied draw a cow. On the topic of pets, of course, already drew cats and dogs, sheep, even goats. I wanted to learn something more interesting. A cow- such a wonderful animal. For the demonstration, I used a step-by-step technique drawing according to the scheme: drew on the board, element by element, not a complex image cows(I draw two diagrams in different directions at once, so that the children can choose a convenient and liked image).

Then the children used oil pastels to color their cows. And in conclusion, we glued our entire herd to the lawn. Having cows in the meadow they practiced mastering the laws of perspective. All the children were very pleased with the result of their own and collective creativity! And in my opinion they did very well. Dear colleagues, I offer you our option schemes: like this drawing cows is not at all difficult. Maybe it will be useful to someone at work. Thank you for your attention!
