I, probably, will not be original, I absolutely liked everything, the narrow-minded policeman and the bohemian wife of the protagonist David Mortimer, played by Igor Livanov, were very amused.

Here the main character, perhaps, was the very fulcrum around which all this reckless fun revolved and who ruled the hall like a conductor. Once we laughed, once we fell silent and thought that fate could dispose of this at any moment with everyone. So in this comedy - a masquerade, not only to laugh, but also to think. The action actually takes place in one room, this is the staff room of an English hospital before Christmas. The pre-holiday bustle reigns, one of the doctors is rehearsing in a play, an open bottle of brandy beckons on the table, everyone is talking about gifts and the upcoming vacation, and a nervous Dr. Mortimer is preparing a report for the opening of a very important conference of neurologists. The action is fast-paced, there is no procrastination, the lines are polished, the dialogues are brilliant. It was a great pleasure to see Igor Livanov and Elena Biryukova on the stage, although the entire cast was pleased with the high level of play. I laughed all two hours, the performance is kind and cheerful, but with a somewhat non-trivial ending, sad for some of the heroes of the play and happy for others.
