Notes from an astrologer.

Some topics in astrology have fascinated me since the very beginning of my study. So it was with the theme of eclipses. I kept asking the question: how to determine the moment of an eclipse in a map.

Initially, from an astrological point of view, I learned that the eclipse is associated with the Lunar shadow nodes. That a lunar eclipse occurs on a full moon, when the Moon and Sun are together with the shadow nodes. And a solar eclipse occurs on a new moon when the Sun and Moon are together with Rahu/Ketu opposite Ketu/Rahu.

But this year this rule was not followed. The astrological chat was full of questions about why the lunar eclipse is in Capricorn, and Ketu is still in Aquarius. And why he won’t be there in a month, when they join together in this sign. And my inquisitive mind began to look for an answer.

To explain where the Lunar nodes are located, I will ask you to imagine the orbit in which the Earth moves around the Sun. We use the term “ecliptic” - the plane that passes through the center of the Sun and includes the Earth’s orbit. And next to our Planet is always the Moon, which also moves on its own path around the Earth, forming a plane that includes its orbit. And at the intersection of these planes (the orbit of the Moon with the ecliptic) the Southern and Northern shadow nodes (Ketu and Rahu) are formed.

The moon describes its path in 30 lunar days. Half the time it is in the southern part of the plane, and half the time it is in the northern part of the plane. Those. it crosses the Earth's orbit around the Sun twice. And these points are the South Node and the North Node (Ketu and Rahu). They are always opposite each other. And they travel with the Earth around the Sun.

Wikipedia says that the necessary conditions for the occurrence of a lunar eclipse are the full moon and the proximity of the Moon to the node of its orbit (i.e., to the point where the Moon’s orbit intersects the ecliptic plane); a lunar eclipse occurs when both of these conditions are met simultaneously.

A Solar Eclipse is an astronomical phenomenon, which consists in the fact that the Moon covers (eclipses) completely or partially the Sun from an observer on Earth. A solar eclipse is possible only on a new moon, when the side of the Moon facing the Earth is not illuminated and the Moon itself is not visible.

And this is the key phrase: Eclipses are possible only if the new moon occurs near one of the two lunar nodes (the point of intersection of the visible orbits of the Moon and the Sun), no further than about 12 degrees from one of them.

12 degrees!!! This means that between Ketu and the Moon, respectively, between the Sun and Rahu, there should be less than 12 degrees, and this explains why this year on August 7, 2017, an eclipse occurs when the Moon is in Capricorn in Shravan nakshatra, and Ketu is in Aquarius.
After all, there are only about 9 degrees between them. (Later, I learned that David Frawley, an internationally recognized Jyotish Guru, is of the opinion that a difference of up to 15 degrees is possible).

A solar eclipse is a new moon, which has a stronger influence and a longer lasting effect, as it occurs when the luminaries approach one of them. During these lunar phases, the Moon connects with the Sun and opens a new cycle. But if in the case of an ordinary new moon the lunar cycle is equal to one lunar month, then the new moon on which an eclipse occurs is a stage in the manifestation of longer cycles covering large periods of time.

To the most important lunarcycles include the Metonic cycle and the Saros cycle.- this is a period of 19 years, it consists of 235 lunations. Every 19 years, a new moon or solar eclipse occurs at the same degree as 19 years ago. The Saros cycle is longer, itgives an eclipse of the same series of eclipses every 18 years plus 9-11 days or plus 10º . The total number of eclipses in one Saros series is 70-72, and the cycle duration is 1280 years.

Such eclipses occur when the Moon is near its apogee, the farthest point in its orbit from Earth. Finally, the term hybrid means hybrid eclipse , when in some area the eclipse is observed as complete, and in the other like ring-shaped.

The Saros number and the node of the lunar orbit in which the eclipse occurs are indicated below. The ascending node is indicated by the letter A(ascending), descending - letter D(descending).

At the top right is the date and time of the onset of the greatest phase of the eclipse ( TDT- terrestrial dynamic time). About cards in Warface

Trading cards in the game do not add any characteristics to the player's character: they do not make weapons more accurate, have less recoil, or increase movement speed. Where to get it

Warface trading cards are obtained from Lucky Boxes. By collecting 5 pieces, you can receive a class reward in the form of a corresponding badge, which is worn in the game, like an emblem next to your nickname. The Eclipse Veteran achievement can only be earned by collecting all Warface trading cards for Eclipse. How to finally get a badge in the game? Everything is very simple. The new achievement will be placed in the basket in your personal account, from where the reward can be transferred to the game.
