How to come up with dance lines. Learning dance moves with preschoolers

Dance, emotional, passionate, filled with dynamism and feelings overflowing. Who among us would not like to learn how to do the same by looking at the dance steps of experienced professionals? To do this, first of all, you should look inside yourself and see “your” dance there. You can be sure that deep inside, where the soul lives, there is a book of feelings of each person. From it you can easily read which dance is the easiest way to express your own "I". There are a great many means for expressing such feelings, just as there are many styles and directions of dance music in the world. Some people prefer fast, funny dances, some are crazy about the classical types of this art, and some prefer slow movements.

In fact, the movements for dance are easily born in our body if the type of dance is determined and the dancer has the appropriate music at his disposal. Passionate, avalanche latin, energetic break, impetuous rock'n'roll or graceful tango. What to choose from all this variety? When the choice is made, you can proceed to the selection of music. The easiest way is to download it from the Internet and then display it on your computer speakers. It doesn't have to be the maximum sound. He is one of the main "engines", but not the main one, because any dance is performed, first of all, by the thoughts and movements of the soul. Under a deafening melody, you can only “break away”, shake out the accumulated energy. But you can perform a dance only at a 60-75 percent sound level. In this case, by the way, the sound of the computer speakers will not be “locked”, which means that its quality is guaranteed!

Having set the goal of how to come up with a dance, you can begin to implement it. If any of the Latin American dances is chosen (the most popular today, perhaps, is the mambo, sung in the first series of the film "Dirty Dancing"), then the main movements here will be everything that has to do with swaying the hips, rotations, dynamic and rhythmic movements around the room selected for training. However, it is enough to recall some episodes from the aforementioned film - and try (no, in no case copy!) Improvise on a given topic. At the same time, we must not forget about giving the movements sexuality and playfulness - indispensable companions of sultry Latin American dances. If acrobatics are more to your liking, then break rhythms are perfect. Visual aids for this type of dance are excerpts from the Soviet "Courier" and later "Step forward" and "Be cool! »

Now that the definition of musical tastes has been made, it's time to move on to the question of how to come up with a dance composition. For an example of where to start, you should watch a characteristic episode from the movie "The Hitch Method". The protagonist (played by actor Will Smith) teaches his ward what movements underlie everything. So, we stand right in front of the mirror. The arms are bent at the elbows and the elbows are pressed to the waist line. Trying to fall into the rhythm of the music, the following movements are made: the left leg is to the side with the weight transferred to it (one!), the right leg is attached to it (two!), the right leg returns to its place with the weight of the body transferred to it (three!), the left is attached to it (four!) This is the basis on which you can learn anything, especially if the lion's share of club music, as you know, easily falls into the "four quarters" format.

The next progressive phase of learning is understanding the concept of how to dance beautifully. To do this, at first it is not at all necessary to “study” video tutorials in the sweat of your face. It is enough to stand in the above-mentioned "classic" position, start moving at once! -two! -three! -four! , bring them to automatism and start thinking about something very good. For example, about a girl or a young man, met on the street the day before. Now that the brain has received a positive charge, you can start fantasizing. Another, no less productive theme is the mental reproduction of the plot that the dancer's legs are tied. Trying to free yourself from the bonds will be the most effective method to start adding variety to the dance. In principle, the best part of the famous dance compositions was born on the basis of improvisation.

The heart of the dancer will best tell you how to move in the dance. At the same time, it is important to remember that not extravagant tricks from the section of the highest acrobatics, but the manifestation of spiritual feelings can make the chosen one give her heart to the dancer. If the dance is performed by a girl, then you should know: the best way to win the heart of a guy is to perform a striptease. But at the same time, do not make the dance vulgar, but, on the contrary, give it a moderately erotic, teasing character. The more understatement, the deeper the secret, the more acute the desire of the one for whom the dance is being demonstrated to take an active part in it. Isn't this the effect initially achieved by the one who wants to show his feelings to another? And feelings, like other manifestations of sympathy, can only be successful if they are romantic, magical and fabulous.

For a long time I thought about what to compare improvisation with (sometimes I will say improvisation - it's easier), nothing came to mind. And then it dawned on me, because the most difficult is always simple!

I am often asked how to learn to improvise. I will try to explain how. Improvisation in dance is the ability to move without movements memorized in order, without any schemes, combinations.

Improvisation can be compared to the way you walk home. You always follow the same path, but you never get to the place where your foot stepped yesterday. (Of course, maybe you do, but not on purpose). You don't think how many steps you take to that tent, how long they are, how deep your boot goes into the ground, how fast you round a corner, or how you jump over a puddle. And if at this time you are filmed on camera, and then you put music on it, you get a great dance. And every day it will be new, with a different speed or mood, each time you will walk along the path, run on the cobblestones or jump over the ditch in a different way, and each time a new dance will come out. You do it intuitively, you don't think about it. The same - I never know where my foot or hand will go, my head will turn, or I will stop. It comes from within, I just relax and try to hear the music.

Before, when there were problems with music and rhythm, improvisation went out of my head, I had my own, some kind of special rhythm, but it was there. Now, when I began to hear the music well, my movements seem to fall on it, on the rhythm, on the sounds, even on the voice. And each music is its own unique dance.

How to learn? The most difficult question. I have several guesses. To get started, buy a player or record music on your mobile so that music is with you more often, it will become easier for you, you will begin to feel it better! And somehow try to walk your way from the subway or stop to the house to the music, let your steps fall into the rhythm, turns into pauses, and jumps into sounds. Try to change the music in the player, and each time your path will be more interesting, it will be different. Try to change the styles and rhythm of the melodies, and the path will become either faster or slower, the accents will fall on different segments.

After such training, it will seem to you that the whole world is dancing, that everything is subject to some kind of rhythm. It is true, often we encounter at least two rhythms every day. This is a clock and a heart. And each heart has its own rhythm and it is always with you. (Probably, I used to dance like that - I didn’t listen to music, but I listened to my heart). And as soon as you have music, it seems that everyone is dancing: someone walking in front falls into the rhythm of the melody, cars slow down at a traffic light during an interesting pause in your song, a traffic cop waved his wand in a beautiful accent, a couple of people stumbled unsuccessfully, clearly falling on the change of rhythm in the composition. One has only to imagine, and you will see one beautiful dance that lasts a lifetime. And everyone has his own. The main thing is to find yourself.

If everything works out for you, try to transfer all the skills to dancing. Choose a place where no one will distract you from the lesson, at least an hour and a half. Turn on the music and remember your way home. Remember how you stepped into the rhythm, how funny you jumped over a puddle, how you slipped and tried to hold on, waving your arms. Listen to the melody, determine the rhythm of the step and start moving. Add turns, shorten distances, a little more hand movements, stops, pauses, waves. You should succeed, not immediately, but then it will give results.

It seems to you that everything is working out for you or you already know how, and you start to get hung up on the same thing, there are a lot of repetitions. Easy to diversify. Draw small squares on the pavement or floor with chalk. Move on them, you will see how difficult it is - to take simple steps, getting on the squares and, of course, in rhythm. Tired of this too - turn the dance over, start it from the knee or even lying down, this will immediately diversify your set of movements. Try to move to the same song both quickly and slowly, because the same melody can have several performances. Try to translate the words of the song, because when the meaning of the song is clear, you can reflect the feelings with which the person performs it. And some moments can even be depicted with movements, and some ordinary things will turn into beautiful dance movements. Many Western choreographers specialize in this. It's called illustration.

Use isolation. It's an interesting way to improvise. It is often used by breakers who dance the robot. This is when parts of the body move clearly in turn, first the arm, then the head, then the right leg, then the head again, the left arm, the left leg, etc. This will force you to come up with new movements with individual parts of the body. You will be forced to put fantasy to work so as not to repeat yourself.

The options are endless. Imagine that your hands are tied, and you have to dance, dance with your feet, or vice versa - you are knee-deep in cement, but your arms, neck, and back can move freely. Throw yourself mentally to Africa, dance on the hot sand barefoot, or to the Arctic - slip on the ice. Show what you can do in a room with a low ceiling, or maybe even in a small room full of furniture, or in zero gravity, or maybe waist-deep in water or even dive into it. Your dance and your possibilities are unlimited, turn on your imagination, your dance will become unique, your style will be special, express feelings and emotions through movements. After all, our ancestors did just that. They could only explain sympathy, hunger or hatred in terms of movement. Here you will plunge into this world of dance.

I remember the words of Leur (this Frenchwoman came up with her own style of Ragga Jam), with whom I was lucky to attend a master class. She talked about her friend from Brazil, who dances house on the floor (many moves close to the floor) better than anyone she knows (and she knows many in her 20 years of dancing experience). Once she asked him where he comes up with so many movements below and manages to perform them so quickly. His answer stunned her, and opened up new facets for me. It turned out that he spends a lot of free time at the zoo, watching the monkeys!!! And it's true, they are very mobile, they look like us and they seem to be dancing. And add technique, speed, manner, rhythm, you get excellent movements. And I was convinced of this when I saw this guy at a convention in Italy, he and a friend showed his show on the main stage.

Think about it, dance is all around us. It is easy to come up with new movements, looking at the world. This is what the heroine of the film Sweet did when she looked at basketball players or at girls with jump ropes. And what a great combination turned out, using feints from streetball and jumping girls. But there are other sports that can be shifted to dance, there are workers repairing the road, children who play funny somersaults or play something, traffic controllers, insects, various mechanisms. Every day something new is born, you just need to learn to see it and not let it pass you by. It is easy to come up with new movements and combinations, but to show the manner, to present the dance is another matter. You have to work hard on this, you need to dance and train a lot. For some, it will be easy, and for others, it will be hard to fight day after day. BUT the result will still come. After all, whoever fell ill with dance is ill for life. And for many, dance becomes air and food. And there are many people like me, and when we dance, we live.

P.S. Worse than myself, I had no student. And if I can do it, then you can do it too. And who will need my help, you know where to find me.

You want something unusual, to please your friends, relatives or loved ones with a bright dance that will decorate a corporate holiday or your family evening. Choreographer Ekaterina Gavrilova tells how to put on a spectacular dance in a short time.

1. Decide on the music!

Music is the basis and the key to the success of your dance. Moreover, it can be both rhythmic and lyrical composition, it doesn't matter. The main thing is that it raises your deepest feelings, awakens your imagination and not only gives impetus to draw a dance pattern, but also make it a reality. Choose your favorite dance direction. It can be anything: vogue, dancehall, flamenco, zumba, strip, oriental, or maybe you want to make a dance mix - in general, choose any direction that is close to you and encourages you to dance. Choose music, and when the choice is made an important step - cut it! A holiday for that and a holiday, so that the dance was like a bright flash, like fireworks, broke out for 1, 5 - 2 minutes and delighted everyone around. It is more difficult to put compositions for 4-5 minutes, it is physically harder to dance, and such timing is useless within the framework of the holiday. The dance at your holiday should be for joy, and not for the question: “Well, when will it finally end?

2. Pick up the moves!

The second advice follows directly from the first, because if the music is chosen, and it is with competent timing, it will be much easier for you to come up with the dance sequence itself. Scary? And you presented impossible dance steps that only a ballet dancer Tsiskaridze can do? Do not be afraid! This is your dance, which means that the movements in it should be for you. Listen to the music again, and if it becomes necessary - listen to it many more - many times, until you begin to imagine what and how exactly you will dance to it. You can pick up from past baggage your most successful dance moves that look good on you, you can flip through a lot of different videos that are similar in style or to your particular composition and choose something suitable for your dance, and finally, you can just let your imagination run wild. , and dance a bunch in front of a mirror, as it falls on your soul, the main thing is then to record this dance on video, rehearse several times to dance later, as it should be in front of the public.

3. Choose a suit!

It is clear that you will not be dancing in front of an audience in home or office clothes, unless, of course, this corresponds to your dance plan. Definitely, the costume is no less important in a dance performance, if the music and movements are already in full order. For the duration of the holiday, you can rent a costume, or you can assemble it yourself from improvised material. For example, on the eve of the upcoming 2018 Year of the Yellow Dog, wear a yellow outfit and decorate it with ears and a tail if your dance is staged with humor and your audience will understand this. If your audience is all respectable ladies and gentlemen, you can dress up as a goldfish and flash your scales in front of them, since gold is also the trend of the coming year. Mustard colors, brown velvet or plush will also be fashionable, and it is better to wear gold, amber or yellow-colored stones from jewelry. But if you don't want to worry about the trend and color scheme, just make a costume that would be in harmony with your music and the dance itself. After all, no one will forbid you on the eve of the year of the dog, for example, to the sounds of music from the Pink Panther, turn into a flexible cat, or into Cleopatra to music in the pharaonic style.

It's not a secret for anyone that when you get up in the morning, you will spend the whole day with such an attitude. There are many ways to wake up in a good mood, and one of them is dancing. Having picked up certain dance moves, It is quite possible to replace charging or running. Not only are dance movements useful, they also have a positive effect on a person’s mood.

There are even many cases when people started their day with simple dance moves, and then got into the popular one.

Basic dance moves for physical health

By adding physical activity to your life, it should be noted that harmony is acquired, self-esteem and mood increase. In addition, this is a good activity for people at risk of cardiovascular disease. However, do not forget about the load. Perhaps at first you need to do easy dance moves, but even then you can feel positive results in the form of a surge of energy. This is even reported by scientific studies.

Italian scientists observed a group of people who danced every week. As a result, not only did their physical condition improve, but they also became more energetic.

At first, when learning movements for beginners, you should not overdo it too much. Only by gradually increasing the load, the body acquires flexibility, endurance and strength. Most classes begin with flexibility and stretching exercises. Performing the movements themselves for the dance, all muscle groups will be involved. Styles such as ballet or jazz, and not only, include jumping, which develops strength and endurance.

Dancing: Movements for Beginners

It's no secret that even the most simple dance moves not only good for the body, but also healing for the psyche. These include:

  • "Square" is performed with the feet in an imaginary square. At the same time, the hands are on the belt, and the body protrudes slightly forward. This dance movement is also called "Box Step". It is often used in music videos and in fitness.

The next movement comes from the previous one. Only it is performed criss-cross. At the same time, the step becomes more difficult: the right foot is brought forward and placed in the upper left corner, and the left foot is placed behind the right foot in the upper right corner of the fictitious square. From this position step back.

  • The "slide" is another simple movement in which one leg stands to the side and slightly bent, and the other is "pulled" along as if on a slippery surface, straightening the supporting leg. The same is repeated on the other side. Such slides can be found in "Hip-hop"
  • The "eight" can be performed with hips, knees and even shoulders, moving along the trajectory of infinity (8s).

Even in the simplest movements in the dance, a person will feel himself and establish contact with himself. Through such activities, people get rid of repressed emotions. Making different dance moves, there is an exit of feelings. This is typical for most areas, but you can especially remember. Even the term itself refers to the spontaneous manifestation of moods, feelings, emotions that are secondary to the audience. In Rus', the ancestors used ritual rhythmic dances to express overwhelming feelings, emotions, hopes and expectations. Everyone took part in them, including children and the elderly. Movements for children's dance weren't particularly different. They tried to teach Russian dance from a very young age. Over time, dance culture has improved, but people can still get rid of sadness through dance.

New and unusual dance movements that are not used in everyday life help to destroy the usual scenarios of life, get out of the vicious circle and let in the long-awaited changes. In the end, dance moves give joy, make a person happy. This is also confirmed by scientists. It turned out that dance movement therapy regulates the level of dopamine and serotonin in the body.

Unfortunately, more and more people are suffering from depression. And dance, from ancient times, was considered a healing art. Shamans used it as a way to enter a trance and expand their consciousness. They believed that dance movements are a connection between Heaven and Earth. So, they can be used as well as meditation. It will help you find yourself and activate your dormant abilities. The state of harmony, inner integrity and freedom will successfully become a pleasant result of daily activities!

When staging a dance, one cannot do without creativity, patience and hard work! Let the music and the chosen genre be your inspiration so that all the movements can be put together in an exciting sequence. It is important to be confident in the dance steps and the skills of the performers. And most importantly, enjoy the process! Rehearse and carry out your presentation with confidence in your own abilities.

Steps

Part 1

Look for inspiration

Think carefully about the dance program. Perhaps you want to convey a specific idea to the audience or convey a mood. Start jotting down your ideas and thoughts in a notepad, computer, or take notes on your phone. As you work on the production, re-read your early notes, as they will contain your inspiration and general direction of thought.

    • Get inspired by other performances. These can be street performances, YouTube videos, and classic productions. Revisit old musicals and modern clips.
  1. Consider the place of your future performance, the occasion and the audience. When staging a dance, it is very important to know whose eyes your staging is intended for. Who will you perform for? What type of dance is expected of you? The choreographer needs to take into account the nature of the future event and the venue. Will the dancers perform on stage, in the gym or on the street? Will your dance be performed at the recital or during the halftime of the high school basketball game? The answers to these questions determine the nature of your dance number.

Decide on a style. You will have to choose from hundreds of options. You can put on a hip-hop dance or fiery flamenco. Choose a style commensurate with the talents and skills of your dancers. If you have enough courage, you can stage a team dance. Combine and mix different styles within one program.

    • Choose a fun style that suits you and your dancers.
  2. Select a song. It is important that the song complements the dance. Classical works are appropriate for ballet, but hip-hop needs a more modern melody. The song should stimulate your creativity, motivate the dance, and keep the audience engaged.

    • Don't be afraid to choose a non-standard song. In some cases, the risk is fully justified. Listen to new artists and musicians from other countries.
  3. Decide on the number of dancers. Will it be a great solo or a bold duet? Perhaps you want to create an elaborate group number or a simple dance that the crowd will pick up? It is important to decide how many dancers you need in order to convey your idea to the audience.

    • Be flexible! If your dancers have volunteered to perform, you may not be able to get the number of speakers you originally wanted.
  4. Work out the transitions. After creating the main fragments of the dance, you need to come up with transitions. They should not destroy the structure of the dance, but organically connect different fragments. Transitions won't be the highlights of the dance, but they shouldn't be boring. Come up with memorable transitions between fragments.

Props, costumes and sound effects. Consider the need for props for your dance - do not leave this moment for later. Props should help the dance and expand the boundaries of movement. Costumes are also an important component of the dance. A floating skirt will always emphasize rotational movements or express emotion. Sound effects will make the production voluminous. Shouting, clapping, stomping and singing along will add an extra dimension to your dance. They need to be used sparingly and consistently.

    • Props and costumes should be meaningful, fit the style of the dance. At the same time, they should not distract the attention of the audience from the production itself.
  5. Write down the dance routine. Before rehearsals, you need to prepare a program in writing. Include as much information about the steps as you feel necessary. Don't be afraid to use your own abbreviations. Write down particularly difficult passages that may require additional time to explain and demonstrate. Being organized and prepared is the key to success.

Part 4

Repeat, rehearse and run the number on stage
  • Not all movements need to be super complex. Simple steps will dilute the big picture.
  • Count to eight to make it easier to remember the sequence.
  • Give freedom to creativity. Express your own style and personal feelings.
  • Just coming up with a dance to a song is not enough. Tell the whole story!
  • When staging a dance, it is important to hear opinions and advice from the outside.
  • Expression is the most important part of choreography. You and your dancers should not forget this while dancing. No one will believe your story if the dance and characters are devoid of emotion.
