Action "Reading Shergin together" dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the talented writer, artist and folklorist Boris Viktorovich Shergin. This is a large-scale reading support event, the purpose of which is to promote the work of a northern writer, will be held October 30, 2016.

On this day, in libraries, for everyone who is not indifferent to the work of a talented Russian writer, fairy tales about the cheerful and resourceful Shisha will be read aloud, which will delight both children and adults. The works of B. V. Shergin about the spiritual beauty and greatness of the spirit of the Pomors will be heard, separate pages will be devoted to diaries, where the writer speaks with special love about the beauty of northern nature, culture, life, traditions and artistic crafts of the North. There will be a viewing of fragments and a discussion of cartoons based on the fairy tales "Magic Ring", "Martynko" and others.

The initiator of the action "Reading Shergin Together" is the Solombala Library named after B.V. Shergin (Arkhangelsk).

Employees of the Family Reading Library, together with primary school students, took part in the Interregional Action “Reading Shergin Together”, which was timed to coincide with the Memorial Day of Boris Viktorovich Shergin, a Russian writer, storyteller and artist.

“Boris Viktorovich Shergin was a Russian writer of extraordinary northern beauty, Pomeranian strength. The stories that he tells in books, funny and sad, happened in times long ago and very close, and everyone bears the seal of some kind of majestic calm, generally characteristic of northern legends ... ”- from the memoirs of Yu. M. Koval.

The library staff prepared a presentation for the children about the life and work of the most "northern" writer. Schoolchildren learned when and where B. V. Shergin was born, where he spent his childhood and youth, who his parents were, what role they played in the formation of the personality of the future writer, how his creative activity began. The children got acquainted with the books of B. V. Shergin at the book exhibition "Northern Magician".


The fairy tale "Poyga and the Fox" was chosen for reading aloud. Before starting the reading, the librarian drew the attention of schoolchildren to the fact that the fairy tale was written in the best traditions of northern folklore and explained the meaning of some words and expressions that are typical for this genre. The children listened to the fairy tale with interest and took an active part in the literary quiz on its plot.


The event ended with a viewing of a cartoon based on the fairy tale by B. V. Shergin “The Magic Ring”.

Participation in the action allowed schoolchildren not only to get to know the personality and work of a talented Russian writer, but also to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the folk culture of the northern region.

On October 30, the Library-Center for Communication and Information joined the interregional campaign "Reading Shergin Together". The action was initiated by the Solombala Library named after B.V. Shergin (Arkhangelsk) and was dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of a talented writer, artist and folklorist, a native of the city of Arkhangelsk - Boris Viktorovich Shergin.


On this day, the participants of the literary action got acquainted with the biography of the writer, watched excerpts from cartoons based on the fairy tales of B. Shergin, and also read aloud one of his most famous fairy tales, The Magic Ring. The reading was accompanied by acting out scenes with toys and homemade dolls. Basically, the props for acting out were made by the participants themselves during the master class preceding the reading. Various materials and improvised means were used: from paper (origami toys), to plastic spoons and even hosiery. Homemade toys really enlivened the reading of a fairy tale!


During the event, the participants played the game "Without words", in which the hosts played scenes from a fairy tale without words with the help of homemade puppets, and everyone else guessed which passage from the work had just been reproduced.

On this day, each participant seemed to have rediscovered the work of B. Shergin, the imagery, richness and special flavor of his language.

On October 30, the libraries of the Primorsky District took part in the annual All-Russian campaign “Reading Shergin Together”. This is a large-scale event to support reading, the purpose of which is to promote the work of a talented writer, artist and folklorist, a native of the city of Arkhangelsk, Boris Viktorovich Shergin. The main condition of the action is the reading of Shergin's works aloud. Library visitors listened to stories, Pomeranian ones, fairy tales of Boris Viktorovich. To draw the attention of readers to the heritage of our famous countryman, librarians used various methods: bright book exhibitions, presentations on Shergin's work, watching cartoons, listening to audio recordings of the writer's own voice.

IN Central Children's Library On this day there were activities for children of different ages. For teenagers there were literary readings "Golden words of the master", where the participants read the Pomeranian story "For fun". The most important thing for the children was the discussion about the “joy of the heart”: about the state of a person when the soul and heart rejoice, and the person is reborn. “Don’t drop it, don’t lose the fun of the heart. Will you lose?!" For the younger children, loud readings of Boris Shergin's story "Childhood in Arkhangelsk" took place. The fourth-graders made a correspondence excursion to the world of the Pomors, finding themselves in Arkhangelsk at the beginning of the 20th century. The children also learned about the Pomeranian hospitable family with ancient maritime traditions, in which Boris Viktorovich was brought up.

IN Voznesensky branch readers listened to the fairy tale "Varvara Ivanovna", discussed the characters and wrote reviews about the read work. And the younger guys watched the cartoon "Magic Ring".

Readers Zaostrovskaya Children's Library excited reading Arkhangelsk were "Vanya Danish." The children answered the questions, reasoned, made their own assumptions. The guys were disturbed by the fate of the protagonist. Will there be a meeting between mother and son, and if it does, how will it end? There were many versions about the end of the story. Some made the assumption that Vanya would take his mother to Denmark. But none of the listeners suggested that it was the grandchildren of Agrafena Ivanovna who would decide the outcome of this story. The children liked the story, they sincerely worried about the characters.

IN Katuninsky branch The action began with the viewing of a book trailer based on the book "Childhood in Arkhangelsk" by B. Shergin. Having plunged into the atmosphere of that time, the children listened to the reading of the story "Childhood in Arkhangelsk", noting the old words and turns of the Pomeranian speech - melodious and "beautiful". Having got acquainted with the biography of the writer from watching the multimedia presentation "The Captured Soul", the children answered questions, got acquainted with the drawings and books of the author, watched and discussed the cartoon "Rain".

IN Knyazhestrovsky branch a literary evening “His Living Russian Word” was held, at which the members of the “Knyaginya” club got acquainted with the work of a wonderful northern writer. For women, the mother theme turned out to be the closest, so three works were chosen for discussion: the Arkhangelsk story "Vanya Danish", the old "Avdotya Ryazanochka" and the fairy tale "Bratanna". The competition "Pomor Word" was also interesting, where it was necessary to give a correct explanation of Pomeranian and special words and expressions found in the works of Boris Shergin. The event was enlivened by a scene based on the fairy tale “Shish and the innkeeper”. And the book exhibition "Wizard of the North" was empty in an instant after all the participants took Shergin's books home to get acquainted with other works of the writer. The discussion continued over tea with delicious pies.

IN Koskogorsky branch The fairy tale "Magic Ring" was chosen for reading, as it teaches not only goodness, but a heightened sense of the Motherland, love for the family, for a specific person lives in it. And it doesn’t matter what kind of person is rich or poor, but what matters is what he is inside, whether he has a good soul. Readers got acquainted with the book exhibition "The Wonderful Storyteller" and watched a wonderful cartoon. And at the end of the event, story pictures based on the fairy tale “The Magic Ring” were painted.

IN Lastol branch Students in grades 1-6 participated in the action. The children watched a presentation about the life and work of the remarkable writer, answered quiz questions and listened to the reading of his works: “Tales about Shisha”, the famous “Arkhangelsk short stories”, mischievous “laughing tales”.

IN Povrakul branch on this day, the opening of the exhibition "Pomeranian Homer", dedicated to the work of the writer, took place. The participants of the action got acquainted with the biography of Boris Shergin and enjoyed watching the cartoon "The Golden Ring", based on Shergin's fairy tale. In addition, they listened to the fairy tale "Fools" performed by the author himself.

Readers Lyavlensky branch listened to and discussed the story of Boris Shergin "For fun". They dismantled the old words and phrases of the Pomeranian speech, discussed why this tragic story was called "For entertainment." To get acquainted with the other side of the writer's work, the guys listened to the fairy tale "Smart Dunya", and then discussed why the author called Dunya smart.

An excerpt from the Pomeranian was "Murmansk Plovers" and the story "Vanya Danish" were read aloud and discussed by the participants of the action in Talazh branch. Each visitor was touched by sincere lines about the family of Arkhangelsk sailors. And they ended the meeting with such an order: "Beware of empty talk, be afraid - stop empty time - this is living death ..." from "Bow of the son to the father ...".

Primary school students of boarding school №2 librarian Rikasikha branch she spoke about the life and work of a talented Russian writer and read fairy tales about Shisha. After that, the guys actively participated in the discussion of the works. In conclusion, the children watched the cartoon "Magic Ring" based on the work of the same name by Boris Shergin.

The main characters and participants of this reading holiday in our Talitsky district were children. It was for them that the library staff prepared a story about the life and work of the talented writer and folklorist Boris Viktorovich Shergin, organized the reading of fairy tales and watching cartoons based on the author's works.

Children enjoyed reading books about “ruddy, fidgety” and mischievous Shisha, Van Dantsky and Misha Laskin, discussed and commented on the adventures of the heroes of Shergin’s works, composed rhymes, participated in games and quizzes. For example, readers of the Vikhlyaevskaya rural library played the fairy tale "Magic Ring": they built a bridge, looked for the ring and saved Vanka. In the Elan rural library, children read the tale about Shisha by roles, and young readers from the village. Again - Yurmytsky came up with funny rhymes.

And all readers got acquainted with the unique culture of the Russian North, mastered the Pomeranian dialect, and were surprised to find how many familiar words migrated from the far North to us in the Urals. With great interest, the children discovered the world of Pomeranian tales. At the end of the event, all books by B.V. Shergin from the collections of libraries were taken apart by young readers.
The action "Reading Shergin Together" was held in 11 libraries of the Talitsky district. 403 people took part in it. Everyone was fun and interesting!

Of course, almost all participants answered that they were unfamiliar with Shergin's work. We are glad that during the action those present got acquainted with the biography of the writer, heard the works of Boris Shergin, and wanted to read his fairy tales and stories.
Readers read an excerpt from his story "Childhood in Arkhangelsk", the story "Misha Laskin", the fairy tales "The Generous Widow" and "The Wonderful Horn".
Everyone liked Proverbs in Stories. In them, the writer wrote an instructive story for each proverb.
Readers read "Pick a berry - you'll pick a box", "A long thread - a lazy seamstress", "A carpenter thinks with an ax."



Unusually, in the image, the story "Old Old Women" was presented. Boris Shergin, a collector of Arkhangelsk tales and tales, brought to us this special, Pomeranian beauty of the northern dialect.

Young readers liked watching the cartoon "The Magic Ring" based on the fairy tale by Boris Shergin, and the older generation remembered their childhood when they watched this cartoon as children. As a participant of the action said: “I still watch cartoons based on these fairy tales and tales, voiced by the voice of Yevgeny Leonov.”
