How to remove extended nails with acrylic

To remove artificial acrylic nails we will need:

  • nail polish remover (the composition must include acetone, without it the removal procedure will not work);
  • coarse abrasive nail file;
  • foil, 10 plates, approximately 12x10 in size;
  • cotton pads (you can cut them in half).

Before removing acrylic nail extensions at home, you need to cut off the edge of the artificial nail with tweezers.

Be careful not to remove your own nail with the acrylic edge. Be careful, as the artificial edge of the nail is very sharp, do not get hurt.

We take a coarse abrasive file and cut off the top layer of the outer acrylic. This will take a lot of time, so be patient. After all, without this you will not be able to remove the extended nail. After the top layer is removed, moisten a cotton pad with nail polish remover and press firmly to the nail.

To speed up the process, wrap a piece of foil on top. We carry out this procedure with each nail. Once you have wrapped all your ankles, time it for 35-40 minutes. During this time, the acrylic layer should soften well.

Once softened, acrylic can be easily removed using an orange stick or a metal pusher without damaging your nails. Acrylic should be removed from nails quickly, as it may harden again.
After carrying out this procedure, you must thoroughly wash your hands with soap and apply moisturizer to your hands.

How to remove extended nails with gel

To remove gel artificial nails you will need:

  • regular nail clippers from your manicure set;
  • wide nail file with high abrasiveness;
  • a nail file with less abrasiveness;
  • a brush for removing dust from nails or a napkin;
  • polishing file for polishing the nail plate.

Before removing the extended nails yourself, you need to cut off the edge of the artificial nail with tweezers, as described above. Next we start cutting. When filing, you need to be careful how far you go so as not to harm your natural nail. To do this, we periodically take breaks and use a brush or napkin to remove the resulting dust from the nail plate.

Once you have cut off almost all the gel, take a second file with less abrasiveness and continue removing the gel. During filing, you can notice how the gel begins to peel off from the nail. Next, take a polishing file and clean the nail plate.

The dust that forms from cutting off the gel greatly dries the cuticle, so after the procedure for removing artificial nails, you need to wash your hands and soften them with a nourishing or moisturizing cream.

After nail extension and removal procedures, your nails need active nutrition and restoration. You can use manicure oils for this. If you don’t have these on hand, you can take, for example: olive, sunflower or apricot oils. Heat the oil a little in a steam bath, rub it lightly into each nail and into the skin around it.

Also suitable for strengthening is a modern system designed to overcome all problems of the nail plate.
