How do you explain the title of the novel? As you know, the friends whose adventures are described in it were four, not three.

Let's follow the fate of four friends. Three of them were already musketeers at the very beginning of the novel. D'Artagnan did not immediately achieve this honor. The Three Musketeers with D'Artagnan is an inseparable union in which D'Artagnan was the most active force.

No one doubts that the main character of the novel is D'Artagnan. A. Dumas owns the following novels from Peru: "Twenty years later", "Queen Margo", "The Count of Monte Cristo", "Madam Monsoro", "Forty-five", "Viscount de Brazhelon".

1858 - a travel essay is published describing a trip to Russia in 1858. - "From Paris to Astrakhan" - full of errors, but imbued with sympathy for Russia. In total, Dumas makes several ruinous journeys, to which he devoted almost 30 books of his Travel Impressions.

1860 - joins the campaign of the "Thousands" of G. Garibaldi, which ensured the victory of the Italian Revolution of 1859-1860.

The legacy of Dumas is almost three hundred volumes. To provide himself with a sufficient amount of material, he organized a real factory for the production of book products. Dumas' collaborators were O.Make and P.A.Fiorentino. But the spark of inspiration was Dumas's genius, since none of his collaborators managed to create any memorable novel on their own.(!)
