Frunzik Mkrtchyan - biography, facts - an infinitely talented Armenian actor. Frunzik Mkrtchyan: a funny and sad person

The films "Prisoner of the Caucasus" and "Mimino" brought Frunzik Mkrtchyan simply crazy love of the audience. In his native Yerevan, he is still considered a national hero, his portraits hang on the streets. During his lifetime, the actor had everything - fame, money, honor. But all this was not to his joy because of the tragedies in his personal life. On July 4, he would have turned 81 years old.

Tragedies in Mkrtchyan's personal life began at student age. He fell in love with a girl named Juliet, whose parents were against their marriage. The struggle for the beloved lasted several years and ended in complete failure. Perhaps, out of annoyance, Frunzik married his classmate Knara, whose marriage lasted only a year. Frunzik met his second wife within the walls of the same theater institute. The beautiful Donara Pilosyan was the star of the course, many followed her, but when Frunzik decided to marry her, her friends were very surprised.

“We tried to dissuade him from this step for a very long time,” recalls Frunzik’s friend film director Neress Oganesyan. – Donara was a talented actress, but everyone in her was alarmed by her impulsive nature. Either laughter, or tears, or run away somewhere ... Apparently, even then the disease began to manifest itself.

At first everything was fine, the young daughter Nune was born. By that time, Frunzik had already starred in the films "Thirty-three" and "Prisoner of the Caucasus", wealth appeared in the family, they moved from the province to Yerevan, bought a car. Donara, in general, also counted on a career as an actress and was not going to sit at home. Every time her husband took an audition, she insisted that he drag her into the tape too. It was thanks to him that she received an episodic role in the film "Prisoner of the Caucasus", playing the screen wife of Mkrtchyan.

“At first, Frunzik thought that his wife was jealous of his success, which, in general, was the case,” recalls Mkrtchyan’s brother Albert. “But then things went completely inexplicable. She gave him terrible tantrums right in the theater. Frunzik could not even say hello to another woman - immediately jealousy. At home she beat the dishes, climbed into a fight, shouted ... Behavior became inadequate. Her brother hoped that the birth of her second child would calm her down. But it got worse...

Donara did not want to deal with her children. When it was already difficult not to notice her unhealthy condition, her daughter was 12 years old, while her son was only two years old. Coming home, Mkrtchyan found the children hungry and dirty, and his wife depressed. Friends advised him to take Donar to the doctor. It turned out that she had schizophrenia. Frunzik spared no expense and sent his wife to a good clinic in France for treatment. True, the actor did not stay alone for a long time. Realizing that Donara would not recover, he received the right to marry again and used this chance. On this basis, he had disagreements with his daughter, who thought that it was impossible to marry with a living mother. Be that as it may, Nune decided to emigrate and, having married, went to Argentina. Frunzik's only joy was his son Vazgen, whose behavior was also alarming. The examination showed that the mother's mental illness was inherited by the boy. From this news, Mkrtchyan wilted greatly. He sent Vazgen to be treated in the same clinic where his wife was. They say that in the hope of enlightenment, the doctors arranged a "face-to-face confrontation" with them. But mother and son did not recognize each other ...

Despite problems in the family, Mkrtchyan continued to act a lot, the directors knew that he would always bring success to the film. That is why Georgy Danelia took him to the role of Khachikyan's driver, despite the fact that by that time Frunzik was drinking heavily. Several times, because of his spree, they even stopped filming and the director was, as they say, on the verge. At the end of each shooting day, Mkrtchyan found himself in a restaurant with many friends. Somehow in his hearts he threw a phrase about his daughter, saying that she is no longer there. These words were changed, and as a result, the news spread throughout the country: Mkrtchyan's daughter died! Like, that's why he got drunk. Even Danelia thought so and, feeling sorry for the actor, did not remove him from the role, although he intended to. In fact, Nune, who had a road accident, survived, but many still believe that she died tragically.
After the release of the film "Mimino", Mkrtchyan's national fame reached its highest limit. At the airport, he went through passport control without documents, every person he met on the street called him into the house.

“Frunzik was a very enthusiastic person,” recalls the actor’s brother. - He wanted, for example, to go to Sochi, he got up and went. Came from there, and all the money is intact. It turned out that he was allowed everywhere for free - both on the plane and in the restaurant.

At the same time, Mkrtchyan, coming to Armenia, was absolutely accessible and did not boast of his position. And his mother did not hide him from other children, that Frunzik loves most of all. Even when he became a grown man, she washed him in the bath, out of old habit. But she could not influence her son's addiction to alcohol. Frunzik did not even know that he was in a pre-infarction state. The attack happened in a dream. In December 1993, he went to bed and did not wake up. Mkrtchyan's brother adopted his nephew Vazgen, but he did not long outlive his father. In 1998, the actor's daughter was diagnosed with a tumor of the uterus, the doctors performed a successful operation. But during the recovery period, a blood clot broke off in the patient, she died instantly ...

“I am sure that the cause of my brother’s early death is self-destruction,” says Albert Mkrtchyan. - He deliberately did all this, because he could not survive the illness of his wife and son.

As for Donara, fate measured her long life. For more than twenty years she has been kept in the Sevan psychiatric hospital in Armenia. She has no hope of a cure.

Frunzik Mkrtchyan was born in Armenia, in the city of Leninakan (now called Gyumri). His parents - father Mushegh and mother Sanam - worked at a textile factory. Frunzik has been drawing well since childhood. His father wanted him to become an artist, but the boy suddenly fell ill with the theater. He hung a blanket on the stairwell (the apartment was on the second floor) and staged performances, which were attended by both children and adult neighbors.

Parents named him Frunzik, - recalled the younger brother of the actor Albert Mkrtchyan, - in honor of the Soviet military leader Mikhail Frunze. In the 30s, Armenians were accused of nationalism, so they began to give children strange names. And when, many years later, the Sundukyan Theater, where my brother worked, toured Lebanon, the local Armenians called it Mher. This biblical name, which means "Sun" in translation, really liked the brother.

sunny Boy

Frunzik was actually a bright, sunny child - gentle, trusting and very kind. He liked to joke and play pranks. True, already in childhood he amazed everyone with his sad eyes. It seemed that even then he already knew in advance his whole life - difficult, tragic. Who knows, if he had not connected himself with the acting profession, maybe everything would have turned out differently?

As a child, Frunzik was helpless, everyone laughed at him, he was thin, with a big nose. And suddenly it turned out that God gave him a huge acting talent, - said Albert Mkrtchyan.

Little Frunzik loved Charlie Chaplin and often compared himself to him.

Chaplin for me is like Bach in music - the teacher of humanity, - said the actor. - Just as life is full of surprises, so Chaplin never ceased to amaze me. Once, Moscow TV made a documentary about me. It began with shots where a little boy is watching a film with Chaplin in the cinema and is eager to play in a movie. It was the pure truth. I became a comedian because I dreamed about it since childhood.

When the war began, Frunzik's father went to the front, his mother worked as a dishwasher, and Frunzik spent all day sitting in the projectionist's booth in the factory House of Culture. Prior to that, having left school at the age of thirteen, he had been an apprentice shoemaker, a puppet master, and even a clothes cutter. The projectionist took the boy to the theater studio, they took him. And soon he entered the stage of amateur theater. In his first performance, Frunzik had to say: “You have a letter from the prince!”. But as soon as he appeared on the stage, the audience began to laugh. Frunzik looked into the hall and said: “You know, give this letter to the prince yourself - I have no time, I have things to do.” He said - and ran backstage, where there was also deafening laughter. Frunzik was upset, but over the years he realized that laughter in the auditorium is a sign of a good game. And then, leaving the House of Culture, he realized something else for himself, that he would no longer be able to live without the theater.

"I was laughing so hard!"

In 1956, Mkrtchyan graduated from the Yerevan Theater and Art Institute and was immediately accepted into the Sundukyan Academic Theater in Yerevan. At the same time, he played his first role in the film " Looking for an addressee».

Theatrical triumph began with Frunzik from the very first roles, - said Albert Mkrtchyan. - As a second-year student of the theater institute, he received an invitation to the Theater. Sundukyan for the role of Aesop, which he was supposed to play in tandem with his teacher. After the first performance, the teacher approached Frunzik, kissed him and gave up the role.

Then there were films: 33 » George Danelia,

« Aibolit-66» Rollana Bykova,

« Prisoner of the Caucasus, or Shurik's New Adventures» Leonid Gaidai.

But the real popularity of Mkrtchyan was brought by the role of the driver Khachikyan in the film Danelia " Mimino».

The phrases of the hero Mkrtchyan from Mimino became popular: “Why don’t you eat kefir? What, don’t you like it?”, “Thank you, I’ll stand on foot!”, “Valiko-dzhan, I’ll tell you one smart thing, but don’t be offended!”, “I laughed so hard here”, “What are these Zhiguli thinking ?”… The actor invented all of them himself.

Danelia gave him the opportunity for complete improvisation. So, for example, Frunzik persuaded the director to shoot an episode in which his Khachikyan and the hero Kikabidze ride in an elevator along with two completely identical Japanese. In the frame, one Japanese said to another: “How similar these Russians are to each other!” But, unfortunately, for reasons of censorship, this scene was not included in the film.

By the way, for this role, the actor was the only one from the Mimino film group to receive the State Prize of the USSR.

While working on this tape, the actor began to drink, break down due to problems in the family. Danelia endured for a long time, and then set an ultimatum - if you drink, I won’t shoot! About a week Frunzik came to the set sober. And somehow he approached Danelia and said sadly: “I understood why mediocrity rules the world. They don’t drink and start their careers in the morning.”
A few days after that, one of the Mimino scenes was filmed in the restaurant of the Rossiya Hotel. The heroes of Kikabidze and Mkrtchyan are trying to dance each other. Frunzik came to this shooting a little drunk, but despite this, he danced beautifully. However, he could not manage to sit on the twine and pick up the handkerchief that lay on the floor. One take, a second, a fifth... Everyone was already tired of laughter, and it was a pity for Mkrtchyan's red from the tension. Then Danelia called Kikabidze and asked him to grab a handkerchief from under Mkrtchyan's feet. Vakhtang Konstantinovich brilliantly coped with the task, and Mkrtchyan, realizing that he was outwitted, raised his head and looked at everyone with such an offended look that laughter broke out again on the set.

Donar's prisoner

Legend has it that Mkrtchyan had two passports: one in the name of "Frunzik Mkrtchyan", and the second - "Mher Mkrtchyan". True, according to rumors, he managed to lose them and lived well without documents. After all, the actor had phenomenal popularity, he was loved in every corner of the Soviet Union.

However, despite universal adoration, Mkrtchyan's personal life did not work out. His first marriage was very brief. Then he met a beautiful girl named Donara, fell in love. When they met, he was in his thirties, she was eighteen. He was a famous actor, she was a theater student. Soon Donara became his wife, and she was destined to play a fatal role in the life of Mkrtchyan.

At first everything went well. Donara played with her husband in " Caucasian captive". (In the film, she played the role of the driver's wife, Comrade Saakhov, who bitterly tells the hero Yuri Nikulin about local customs - bride kidnapping.)

And then the couple had a son, Vazgen, and a daughter, Nune. Frunzik idolized children, showered them with toys, which, by the way, he also loved.
- He was interested in everything, - said Albert Mkrtchyan, - how, for example, toy pigeons are arranged, which fly up into the sky and then return to your hands. Frunzik dismantled them, trying to understand the structure of the mechanism. And, of course, then he could not collect back.

Over the years, oddities began to appear in the behavior of Mkrtchyan's wife. Donara tried not to let her husband go a single step. She became pathologically jealous, arranged terrible scenes of jealousy for her husband. Friends advised Frunzik to show her to a psychiatrist, who made a disappointing diagnosis - schizophrenia. After treatment in Armenia, he moved his wife to one of the French psychiatric clinics. But all efforts were in vain, Donara died. Frunzik got drunk.

When he was 54, he remarried. His chosen one was the daughter of the chairman of the Union of Writers of Armenia Tamara Hovhannisyan- a prominent girl, 25 years younger than Mkrtchyan.

According to the recollections of friends, when someone asked him what kind of marriage you have, the actor jokingly replied: “Chaplin got married eight times in general. Am I worse?"
Unfortunately, this marriage did not make Mkrtchyan's life happier (Tamara resembled her former wife in character and temperament), and he soon broke up.
Frunzik, who was always among people, now fell in love with loneliness.

Once he was asked why he walks the night streets alone, Frunzik was surprised: “Why alone? Cats walk, dogs. So I'm not alone, his younger brother recalled. He was an amazingly gentle and kind person. Even too kind. Everyone had complaints against him, but he did not have them against anyone. Frunzik was a real people's deputy, unofficial, of course. Helped thousands of people. Nobody could refuse him...

Children also did not become a joy for Frunzik. After marriage, the actor's daughter Nune moved to Argentina. And the son of Vazgen, like his mother, began to get weird. Frunzik showed him to the best psychiatrists, but they all gave his son the same diagnosis as his wife. Alas, schizophrenia is inherited - it is impossible to get rid of it.

Death Wish

In recent years, Frunzik refused film roles. “At my age, they no longer play,” he bitterly remarked. He dreamed of his theater and spent all his strength on its creation. However, he did not have time to fully enjoy his brainchild ...

We sat and talked about art. Then I put him to bed and went home for a few hours. It was five o'clock. When I got home, I immediately began to call Frunzik - I had some kind of bad feeling. Frunzik's phone was out of order. And at seven in the evening they called me and said that he was no more. He became ill, and the ambulance could no longer do anything. Heart attack...

Frunzik Mkrtchyan was 63 years old ...

He wished for death, he yearned for it, he dreamed of it, cruelly extinguishing his life instincts, his younger brother said. - He was not killed by time and not by addiction to wine and tobacco ... No, he deliberately went to his death, not having the strength to survive the illness of his son and wife - a huge family grief.

He was buried on New Year's Eve, December 31, at the Pantheon of Heroes of the Armenian Spirit in Yerevan.
Why did the genius actor have so many trials and tribulations? What is it - the fate that hung over his fate, or the payment for an incredible talent?

Frunzik's daughter Nune died five years after her father's death, then his son Vazgen died. And two years ago, his younger brother Albert also died, who until the last day was the artistic director of the Mher (Frunzik) Mkrtchyan Theater ...

Dmitry Sergeev

The general favorite of the audience Frunzik Mkrtchyan is an outstanding Soviet actor who played in the films later called Soviet classics, People's Artist of the USSR and laureate of the USSR State Prize. The actor played many characters, whose words quickly became aphorisms and firmly entered the speech of viewers.

Mkrtchyan Frunzik Mushegovich was born in Armenia, in the city of Gyumri (then Leninakan), in 1930. The full name of the artist is Frunze (Mher) Mushegovich Mkrtchyan: Mkrtchyan had two names. At home, he was called Mher (translated from Armenian as "bright"), and officially - Frunze.

The artist's father Mushegh Mkrtchyan worked as a timekeeper at the factory, his mother Sanam Mkrtchyan worked as a dishwasher at the factory canteen. In addition to his brother Albert (now works as artistic director of the Yerevan Mkrtchyan Theater), Frunze had sisters Ruzanna and Clara.

Frunzik Mkrtchyan showed acting talents from a young age. After graduating from school in 1945, Frunze immediately went to work. At first he worked in a club at a textile mill, acting as an assistant projectionist. During this period, he enjoyed playing in the local drama club. Then, for a year, Mkrtchyan studied at the studio at the Leninakan Drama Theater. In 1947, the aspiring artist was enrolled in a theater troupe.

Movies

In 1956, after graduating from the Yerevan Theater Institute, Mkrtchyan became an actor in the troupe of the Sandukyan Theater. The same year was the year of the debut of an aspiring actor in the cinema. He starred in a tiny role in the film "The Secret of Lake Sevan". As a result of editing, only Frunzik's leg appeared in the frame. But if Mkrtchyan's film career was just beginning, then in the theater his business was going brilliantly. At that time, the audience went to the performances precisely “to Mkrtchyan”.

Young Frunzik Mkrtchyan in the film "Guys of the Music Team"

The full-fledged debut of the artist in the cinema happened in 1960 in the film "Music Team Guys", in which Frunzik played Arsen, a cheerful musician. Then followed a five-year break, when the artist did not act at all. In 1965, Frunze starred in the comedy Thirty-three. Mkrtchyan did an excellent job with the role, but the picture was banned “at the top” as ideologically harmful.

But fame was already on the threshold of the artist. A year later, the legendary film comedy "Prisoner of the Caucasus" appeared on the big screens of the country. The audience remembers Frunze very well in the role of the uncle of the main character - Jabrail. It is interesting that the role of Jabrail's wife was then played by the artist's second wife, Donara.

Frunzik Mkrtchyan in the film "The Lonely Are Provided with a Hostel"

The same 1966 gave Mkrtchyan another wonderful role that brought the actor additional fame. Frunze played one of the three handsome bandits in the film "Aibolit-66". Now Frunze Mkrtchyan was famous throughout the country and was considered the best comedian in the country.

The first half of the 70s was not the best in the artist's career. Due to his wife's illness, Frunze turned down many good roles. But the second half of the 70s pleased admirers of Frunzik's talent. Danelia's new comedy "Mimino" was released on the screens. A wonderful, bright and light picture, where Mkrtchyan and played in a duet. Many phrases from the film become winged, and the picture itself gathers huge queues at the cinema halls. A romantic artist with a comedic talent and sad eyes was loved by everyone without exception. He was adored by his colleagues as well.

Also, the biography of the actor was replenished with a poignant and largely metaphorical film "The Soldier and the Elephant". The plot of the picture is based on real events and tells how Soviet soldiers during the fighting already on German territory found an elephant stolen in Germany. A decision has been made to return the animal to the Yerevan Zoo, so the soldier who is ordered to deliver the animal and the elephant embark on a long journey through war-torn towns and villages. A simple road plot has become a way to show many things: the horrors of war, the humane side of soldiers, the heroism of Soviet soldiers, mercy for people and animals. The film participated in the All-Union Film Festival in Yerevan, Frunzik Mkrtchyan received the first prize for the best acting work.

Frunzik Mkrtchyan in the film "The Soldier and the Elephant"

In the late 70s, another iconic film of the actor was released. Mkrtchyan starred in Alla Surikova's drama "Vanity of Vanities". Like many films of that period, "Vanity of Vanities" showed an ordinary family faced with everyday problems that gradually forced love out of marriage. The main character, played by Frunzik Mkrtchyan, left the wife she played, but the seemingly uncomplicated adventures that began after that convinced him that he was losing too much by leaving the family.

In 1978, Frunze Mkrtchyan received the USSR State Prize, and in 1984 he became the People's Artist of the USSR.

Frunzik Mkrtchyan in recent years

In the mid-80s, Frunze Mkrtchyan was no longer acting. He is offered good roles, but he invariably refuses, jokingly arguing that at his age they no longer act in films.

And in the early 90s, Frunzik Mkrtchyan left his beloved theater. He was offended by the decision of the team, which chose Khoren Abrahamyan as the chief director, not him, who gave this theater 35 years of his life. The artist took up the creation of his theater, but fate took him not so many years before the last act.

Personal life

The personal life of Frunzik Mkrtchyan was tragic. All three marriages ended sadly. The first wife of the actor was his classmate Knara, but the marriage broke up almost immediately.

Mkrtchyan met his second wife Donara Pilosyan in the mid-1950s. The girl came to enter the Leninakan Theater School. Young artists got married and started working together. Their first daughter was Nune, and soon their son Vazgen was born. And when it seemed that everything was fine with the young family and that they could live and work happily, Donara fell ill. Doctors discovered she had an incurable mental illness that was inherited.

Frunze showed his wife to eminent specialists, but they could not help. The wife began to be terribly jealous of Mkrtchyan, it seemed to her that he had mistresses everywhere, and he was leaving not on tour, but from his family. The personal life of the actor turned into hell. At some point, these problems also affected the actor's career - he had a major break in significant roles and major projects.

Donara's condition gradually worsened. Mkrtchyan had to agree to the hospitalization of his wife in a psychiatric hospital in France without the right to leave. Mkrtchyan was left alone with two children. Soon the daughter left for Argentina, and the doctors discovered the same disease in her son as in her mother. All the efforts of Mkrtchyan to cure Vazgen were in vain. The son was admitted to the same clinic as his mother. They said that when they met in the corridor, they never recognized each other.

The personal life of Frunzik Mkrtchyan briefly sparkled with bright colors when he married for the third time. His wife was the daughter of the chairman of the Union of Writers of Armenia, Tamara Hovhannisyan, but this marriage soon broke up. It was during this period that the artist, according to the press, began to abuse alcohol. First he left the cinema, and then the theater.

Death

The illnesses of the closest people and major problems at work knocked down the artist. Alcohol, to which, according to rumors, the actor turned for solace, most likely caused the death of Frunzik Mkrtchyan. Due to alcohol, the actor has already had one clinical death, but the doctors managed to pull him out of the other world. But members of Mkrtchyan's family do not confirm the version of the press about the actor's alcohol addiction, although they mention his addiction "to wine and tobacco."

Subsequently, brother Albert began to look after the actor, who became worried when he learned that he was not getting in touch. Later, Albert recalled that Frunzik's phone was broken, you can only make calls from it, but not receive calls, but some kind of bad premonition did not allow his brother to calm down. When Albert came to check on his brother, he found him dead.

Frunzik Mkrtchyan died on December 29, 1993, when he was 63 years old. The official cause of death was a heart attack. It was a real tragedy, many believed that the actor could play many more star roles. The whole of Yerevan gathered for the funeral of the beloved artist on December 31, despite the holiday, thousands of people followed the coffin of the artist to the grave in the Pantheon of geniuses of the Armenian spirit in Yerevan. They grieved for their favorite artist not only in Armenia, but throughout the former Soviet Union. He really was universally loved.

Frunzik's daughter Nune Mkrtchyan died of cancer in 1998, having outlived her father by only a few years. Granddaughter Gayane (Irene) lives in Argentina. Son Vazgen Mkrtchyan, who brought so much grief to his father, died at the age of 33 from cirrhosis.

Now a total of five monuments are dedicated to the actor - four of them as part of compositions based on cult films with the participation of Frunzik Mkrtchyan, and one personal. In Gyumri, in the small homeland of Mkrtchyan, a museum named after him has been opened. In 2006, a postage stamp dedicated to the actor was issued in Armenia.

Looking at the pictures of famous and successful figures, it seems that all sorts of troubles and failures bypass their lives. However, in reality this is not always the case. Tragic, sometimes even terrible events often happen in famous families. True, admirers of the stars do not always know about it. After all, on TV screens, adored artists still smile and give warmth to their viewers. All this describes the life of everyone's favorite Frunzik Mkrtchyan, to whom capricious fate presented severe trials.

In fact, social recognition and a successful career do not necessarily promise true happiness. Some celebrities, whose surnames were at the hearing of the people, real life presented cruel surprises: for example, employees of psychiatric hospitals sometimes became close people for them.

So fate disposed of the biography of Frunzik Mkrtchyan's wife Donara terribly: the woman spent her last years in the ward. She was extremely popular during her lifetime - Soviet cinema gave her unprecedented popularity, but now few people know about the woman who once played the role of Aunt Nina in "Prisoner of the Caucasus".

Biography of Donara Mkrtchyan

The future artist was born on April 20, 1941 in Leninakan, which recently received the name of Gyumri. Donara's maiden name is Pilosyan. The talented girl gave her preference to the Art and Theater Institute in Yerevan. After graduating from high school, Donara joined the troupe in the capital's academic theater named after Sundukyan.

Artist career

In her native theater, Donara Mkrtchyan played more than a dozen successful roles. The most famous works of the artist on the stage were:

  • "Yes, the world has turned upside down";
  • "Head of the Republic";
  • "Holy of Holies";
  • "Apricot tree";
  • "Salem witches";
  • "Brother Pakhtasar";
  • "Sixty years and three hours."

However, it was not the theater that brought real popularity to the artist, but a successful cinematographic activity. The truly famous Donara Mkrtchyan woke up after the release of the Soviet film, which has become a classic, "Prisoner of the Caucasus, or Shurik's New Adventures." In the comedy, the promising beauty played Jabrail's wife, Nina's aunt. And this role turned out to be simply excellent for Donara.

After the release of the famous Soviet comedy, the girl played several more prominent roles. Filmography of the artist:

  • "Lipstick No. 4";
  • "Khatabala";
  • "Bagdasar divorces his wife";
  • "Adam and Heva";
  • "The Adventures of Mher on Vacation";
  • "Men".

Personal life

Donara Pilosyan met her chosen one within the walls of the theater institute. At that time, Frunzik was already 30 years old, and the girl had only recently become an adult. The beauty was a real star of the course - she simply had no end to her fans. But the attractive Mkrtchyan conquered the girl with his charisma. But when the brilliant actor decided to marry Donar, his friends were very surprised and began to dissuade him. By the way, this was the second marriage for Frunzik.

The actor's comrades were very alarmed by the quick-tempered, fiery character of Donara, although she was an extremely capable girl. Her mood often changed, and these manifestations were very unpredictable. Perhaps, even in his student years, a terrible disease made itself felt.

At first, everything was fine with the Armenian couple, the newlyweds had a daughter, who was named Nune. By that time, Mkrtchyan had already starred in the films "Shurik's New Adventures" and "Thirty-three". The family began to live better, moved from a small village to the capital, got their own car. Donara Mkrtchyan also wanted to build a successful acting career. That is why she constantly asked Frunzik to promote her to the films he auditioned for. It was thanks to her husband that Donara got a role in the comedy "Prisoner of the Caucasus", which brought her cherished popularity.

Manifestations of the disease

Over time, oddities began to appear in the behavior of Donara Mkrtchyan. At first, Frunzik thought that his wife was simply jealous of his fame, but gradually her actions became completely inexplicable. She was constantly near her husband, not letting him go literally not a step away, right on the stage she threw terrible tantrums at him. Jealousy suppressed her even when Frunzik simply greeted other women. At home, everything ended with breaking dishes, screaming and even fighting. Frunzik hoped that the birth of a second baby would calm his wife. But it only got worse. The artist's wife, whom he loved very much, slowly turned into a domestic tyrant, making terrible scandals even because of the most innocent episodes on the set of Frunzik.

After the birth of the couple's son Vazgen, Donara completely ceased to take care of the household and children. When the mental state of the artist was finally destroyed, her daughter was only 12 years old, and her son was 2 years old. Returning home, the actor found his wife depressed, and the children were dirty and hungry. Friends persuaded Frunzik to show Donar to a psychiatrist, who made a very disappointing diagnosis - schizophrenia. The private life of the family has become a real hell. At one time, personal problems also affected the career of an actor who simply could not continue filming. At the same time, the condition of Frunzik Mkrtchyan's wife Donara did not stop deteriorating. In the end, he had to agree to the hospitalization of the woman. The actor spared no expense by sending his wife to one of the best hospitals in France. There, the fate of Donara was deplorable.

Family

Frunzik, who received the right to marry again, took advantage of his chance for happiness. True, it was because of this that he had a conflict with his daughter, who was against her father's marriage. As a result, Nune got married and left with her husband for Argentina. The only hope of the actor was his son, whose behavior also began to frighten. It soon became clear that the mother's disease was transmitted to Vazgen. Frunzik was depressed, he had to send the child to the same hospital as Donar. Hoping for improvement, the doctors arranged a meeting between mother and son. But as scary as it sounds, they just didn't recognize each other.

Once, Mkrtchyan, drunk from grief, threw a careless phrase about his daughter, because of which those around him thought that she had died. There are still legends that Nune passed away many years ago. However, in reality this is not so: the girl had an accident, but survived.

Tragic ending to history

Photos of Donara Mkrtchyan are still often found on the Internet. But the famous Soviet artist was again remembered only after her death. The rest of her life the woman spent in the walls of a psychiatric clinic. In the summer of 2011, at the age of 70, Donara died. She survived her own son and husband, who died due to a stroke at 63. After the tragic events associated with the family, Frunzik tried to drown the resulting depression in alcohol. But all these horrifying events went unnoticed by Donara.

Looking at photographs of successful and famous people, one gets the impression that all sorrows and hardships bypass them. But actually it is not. Tragedies also happen in star families. But fans don't always know about it. After all, on the screens, your favorite actors are still blazingly joking. All this fully applies to the family of Frunzik Mkrtchyan, for whom fate has prepared difficult trials.

Frunzik Mkrtchyan

This actor needed no introduction, everyone in the USSR knew him. And in his native Armenia, he is still a national hero, his portraits can be seen on the streets of Yerevan. The full name of the actor is Frunze Mushegovich Mkrtchyan. But in his homeland he was more often called Mher, which means “bright” in translation.

The official name Frunze is given in honor of the famous Soviet commander during the Civil War, Mikhail Frunze. Mher-Frunze was born in the city of Leninakan, Armenian SSR, on July 4, 1930. Now it is the city of Gyumri. Frunze's parents are refugees from the Armenian genocide in Turkey. They, lonely five-year-old children, were found on the road and sent to an orphanage.

According to his brother's recollections, Frunzik really was a very kind and bright person from childhood. And he was thin, with a big nose, clumsy, and everyone laughed at him. But it soon became clear that nature had given this big-nosed boy with sad eyes a huge talent. He showed acting abilities from childhood. From the age of 10, the boy arranged amateur performances for local children.

Very early, Frunzik left school and tried many professions. But he never forgot about the profession of an actor. At first he played in a theater group at a textile factory, then he went to study at a studio at the Leninakan Drama Theater. And in 1947 he was enrolled there in the troupe.

Frunzik first became famous in his native Armenia, acting in films and playing in the theater. And then, after the release of the movie "Prisoner of the Caucasus", his fame turned into an all-Union one. Mkrtchyan was adored not only by the audience, but also by colleagues, which happens infrequently. The mother did love him more than the rest of the children, which they even sometimes took offense at. But in his personal life, the actor was not lucky. The first time he married a classmate Knara. But the marriage did not last long and broke up about a year later.

Donara Pilosyan

For the second time, Frunzik married a young actress Donara Pilosyan. When they met, Frunzik was already about 30, she was only 18. The young beauty was captivated by the charm of the famous actor. First, the Mkrtchyans had a daughter, Nune, then a son, Vazgen

If current cinema fans are asked who Donara Pilosyan is, it is unlikely that anyone other than a native of Armenia will answer this question. Meanwhile, everyone has seen it and knows it! After all, she played the role of the wife of comrade Dzhabrailov, the personal driver of comrade Saakhov, in the cult comedy "Prisoner of the Caucasus" by Gaidai. And in 1977, together with her husband, she starred in the comedy Baghdasar Divorces His Wife. .

Donara was a famous Armenian theater actress. She rarely acted in films and was little known outside of Armenia.

Frunzik, on the other hand, film roles brought immense popularity. He and his wife moved to Yerevan and bought a car. First, the Mkrtchyans had a daughter, Nune, then a son, Vazgen. Frunzik adored his children, loved to give them toys, and he himself played with these toys. Most of all, however, he liked to take them apart to find out how they worked. After that, not only the actor himself, but also no master could fix these toys.

family drama

It would seem that everything in the family is going well. But the character of Donara began to deteriorate inexplicably. She did not want to give up her acting career and stay at home with a child. At first, Frunzik believed that she was jealous of his acting success and hoped that everything would work out after the birth of her second child. But over time, the situation only worsened.

They say that friends from the very beginning tried to dissuade Frunzik from marrying, citing the fact that Donara has a quick-tempered and unpredictable character. Perhaps it was already noticeable from youth. Now the wife gave her husband terrible scandals and tantrums, was jealous of all women for no reason. The life of an actor has become hell.

On the advice of friends, Frunzik took his wife to specialists. The conclusion was disappointing: this is not a cost of character, but a serious mental illness. Moreover, it is incurable. Due to problems in the family, Frunzik refused many wonderful roles in the early 70s and began to abuse alcohol.

It got to the point that because of his drunkenness, the shooting was practically disrupted. The children were also not well. After marriage, daughter Nune moved with her husband to Argentina. She left for good. It was rumored that she died in a car accident., And this added bitterness to the already difficult life of Frunzik Mkrtchyan.

This is not entirely true, Nune did not die, she outlived her father by 5 years. The reason for the rumors was his remark that his daughter was gone. Everyone decided that she was dead, but they did not ask questions. Probably, Frunzik meant that his daughter practically did not communicate with him.

The actor did his best to treat his beloved wife, first in Armenia, then placed in a psychiatric clinic in France. But everything was useless. Donara last appeared on stage in 1982. Then she was forever locked in the clinic.

Last years

The son of Frunzik Vazgen showed symptoms of the same disease as his mother. He was also placed in the clinic more than once, they tried to treat him. And also without much success.

Frunzik Mkrtchyan married for the third time, but the marriage did not last long, and he divorced his third wife. By the end of his life, he was completely alone, despite the crowds of fans.

At that time, Frunzik practically did not act in films, he said that at his age this was no longer necessary. Basically, he was engaged in his own theater and did not monitor his health at all. On December 29, 1993, Frunzik Mkrtchyan died in his sleep from a heart attack. The beloved actor was buried on December 31 in Yerevan. Relatives believe that he could not survive the grief that brought him a terrible illness of his wife and son.

Donara Mkrtchyan never left the hospital. In moments of enlightenment, she wondered why she was locked in a strange room and was not allowed to go home to her children and husband. Sometimes she recited excerpts from her roles to patients and even organized a drama circle for patients in the clinic. Donara Nikolaevna died in 2011 in Sevan, Armenia.

A sad love story and history - a real oriental fairy tale against the backdrop of world politics.
