Experts popular music, and even the most ordinary listeners, have confidently ranked Scandinavia as the third, and more recently almost second, recording industry in the world for several decades now. At first, the Nords were famous for their performers with original material, but now they are also suppliers of the biggest hits to order. Historically so rich musical influence Albania, and even the previously united Yugoslavia, were clearly left out of the world stage. The local market of the former socialist republic could not possibly be one of the priorities of English-oriented pop culture.

What has changed in the new century, which has received top stars with Albanian roots? More likely, this happened thanks to the troubled and bloody nineties, but it would be more ethical to say “in spite of.” The politically torn apart power provoked a gigantic outflow of population from all its corners, especially from the most problematic ones. Kosovo turned out to be such a dangerous cauldron, where clashes increasingly occurred between the Albanians, who had been demanding their independence for many years, and the Serbian minority in these lands. Dua Lipa, Bebe Rexha, Rita Ora and Era Istrefi are children of those events. Some of them were born abroad into immigrant families, others moved with their parents to early age, but the creative dynasty of Istrefi remained in their homeland.

ISTREF ERA

Since Era deserves a special mention, then let's start with it. Mother future star is a popular Albanian singer of the 80−90s - Suzana Tahirslaj. My father was involved in journalism. In the 2000s, the privileged position initially favored the start of the career of Era’s older sister, Nora Istrefi, who was able to achieve truly great heights on the national pop stage. In the next decade, our heroine will already surpass her older relatives - and immediately on a global scale. In addition to her spectacular appearance and “textured” voice, a feature of her melodically tenacious hits was bilingualism. This approach finally worked when she filmed the video for "Bonbon" on a snowy track in Kosovo.

Half a billion views forced English-language publications and labels to talk seriously about the birth of a new world star, who immediately began to be compared with Rihanna and Sia. The result of the YouTube take-off was a one-time signing to Sony Music and Ultra Music, and already this summer, Era performed the part in the main anthem of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia in company with Will Smith and Nicky Jam.

DUA LIPA

Dua Lipa right now is practically the main young pop artist of our time. Listeners see in her the embodiment of charm, noting in every line the sincerity in the performance of the role of their lyrical heroine. The presence of a characteristic low timbre, the external charisma of the singer, and the rich variety of shades of the material convince us of the presence of limitless creative potential for very many years to come. In her case personal experience moving completely spiritually shaped the future great artist.

Dua grew up as a London girl studying at theater school, and when she turned eleven, she and her parents returned to their native Kosovo for four years. Her father, being a famous rock singer there, instilled in Lipa excellent hearing and fortunately supported his daughter in her desire to connect herself with music. So London again became her home. Having noticed a vlog with covers of Dua’s favorite songs, the young Albanian was signed by the largest label Warner Music and for three whole years gave her a marathon of first-class singles in support of her debut album.

Among them - “Be the One”, “Blow Your Mind (Mwah)”, “New Rules”, “IDGAF”, and already this year she finally finished off her collaboration with Calvin Harris - “One Kiss”.

RITA ORA

The fates of Rita Ora and Dua Lipa are in many ways similar. Rita also fully considers herself British, having been born in historical homeland and moving to London as a one-year-old child in the arms of emigrated parents. There, Ora studied at the same theater school, which Lipa later also enrolled in. What is special about Rita in our four is that the beginning of the Albanian pop wave can be counted from her.

Start solo career with the album “Ora” in 2012, it still remains one of the brightest debuts in Britain. All that remained was to develop the success that had begun, release new songs and prepare a growing fan base for the second album. The three singles, led by “I Will Never Let You Down,” served this purpose well, but lengthy contract disputes with the Roc Nation label came into force.

This dragged on until 2017 and led to the need to write completely different material due to legal restrictions on the use of ready-made master tracks. This is how other and even more successful singles were born "Your Song" and “Anywhere” from the second album promised five years ago.

BIBI REX

With him, Bebe Rexha began to storm the charts with her duology of mini-albums “All Your Fault”, best songs of which were eventually included in the recent debut long-play “Expectations”.

As sad as it may be, destruction often directly affects the speedy creation. Long years Yugoslavia was a relatively self-contained power, but the painful collapse into separate republics catalyzed the search for other possibilities for existence in the world. Albanians assimilated into their new Western culture, which helped the world bring their talent to the forefront while preserving their national identity. And at the same time, the Internet gave the world a unified information field, which ensured the circulation of knowledge. Purely technically, individual creators from Kosovo, and the same Russia and Ukraine, are increasingly working on equal terms to create a high-quality product. All that remains is to further develop industries within their countries, join international collaborations and take advantage of the chances to get to the “common table”.

Hello everyone, in this review I would like to tell you about the Albanian singer Era Istrefi.

Recently I began to notice that reviews of performers are being written more and more often on Irecommend, so I decided that it wouldn’t be a bad idea to write about new singer Ere. Of course, I never thought that it turns out that on Aireka you can write reviews about your favorite singers and groups. It's great that Airek's website is very extensive in terms of reviews.

Place of birth: Pristina, Albania.

Years when career began: 2013 - present

I became acquainted with the work of singer Era Istrefi literally at the beginning of the year. While searching for various fitness songs on YouTube, I accidentally came across the Bonbon video from the Istrefi Era. At that time, the video had about 5-6 million views, and the song Bonbon was not widely heard, but in just a couple of months this song became a colossal success, wherever it was included, in TV series and in fashion boutiques and clubs. To date (December 22, 2016), the song Bonbon has received 250,718,176 views.

The video does not contain backup dancers, hired actors, or an intricate plot. In the video everything is quite simple, an empty highway on the way to the mountains and a girl left alone on the highway + a catchy verse “Bon Bon”, and this is how the hit video turned out. And I must note that it turned out to be very stylish, despite its simplicity.

And thanks to this song, the girl gained worldwide fame.

A little about the style from the "Bon Bon" video:

I often read search engine queries on YouTube: “a clip of a girl in a pink parka”, “a girl alone on the road in the snow and in the park”. There were a lot of articles about the parka (jacket) from the “Bon Bon” video and everyone wanted to buy it, for example, on the well-known Aliexpress website.

Now I’ll describe in more detail about the Era parka, because this parka played key moment in the popularity of the singer. The unusual catchy parka caused a large number of delight and great ratings from bloggers around the world. Everyone was eager to find out what exactly the model of the parka on Era was? After all, most often there are many fakes for this parka. (either the down is plucked, or there is no pink down lining, or the fabric on the parka itself is like that of a construction worker... I also want this parka, just like hers, but I haven’t found the original yet, but I’m thinking of ordering a decent fake). This parka is from Mr&Mrs Italy. The original cost is approximately 2,500 euros. (Only the original will look beautiful, fashionable and stylish, I’ve already convinced myself... on Ali the original can be found for 700-800 euros, and a decent fake for photos, even for a couple of months, for 100 euros.)

I bet you want to try it me

I know you want want want x2

Lyrics from Bon Bon

It’s not in vain that I started my review with Era’s hit. After all, "Bon Bon" is very recognizable song, and my readers will immediately understand which singer I want to talk about. In this review I will only discuss the most memorable songs and videos of the Era.

The next clip I want to tell you about is Shume pis in a duet with Ledri Vula. To date, the video has received 25,020,661 views, of course not like Bonbon with 250,718,176 views, but this is also a lot, and an excellent indicator for Albanian performers. Era released this video half a year before the “Bon Bon” video.

The song is not so familiar to fans of American music, but nevertheless quite good.

The clip is also stylish and very beautiful. Just the right summer atmosphere for the summer (the clip was released in the summer).

Mani Per Money- debut single Eras. It was thanks to this single that she became very famous in Albania.

The video for this song was released in 2013 and collected 9,307,254 views on YouTube.

The video was shot purely in reggae style. I remember I watched one of her interviews, where she roughly said that her debut video was her favorite, because there she showed herself as real, simple, but with a twist, and she has a lot of memories associated with this video. Also, the song itself combines mixed reggae, dubstep and pop. I would also like to emphasize that Era loves the reggae style.

Whatever one may say, it was “Bon Bon” that became the viral hit of 2016. (I repeat, when I listened to this song, it was not a trend like it is now, and it’s a little disappointing that my favorite track became viral, because I’m afraid the song might now get boring). Over the course of the year, Era was invited to various shows and radio to perform this hit (below you can see screenshots from the performance for MNM).

This year she also signed a contract with Sony Music and is now preparing her debut album under this label. Well, Era has really reached the global level, and I think new album will also be very good like a viral song.

In one of his latest interviews she said that the success of "Bon Bon" was a colossal shock for her. She also said that she always dreamed of becoming famous in America and since childhood she wanted to be American girl. (as we see, if you work hard, your dreams come true, she’s really great)

And now I’ll give you a clear example of how the style of the Istrefi Era was loved, which became a trend in 2016.

Many schoolchildren, students and young girls began to imitate Era Istrefi’s style in clothing and makeup, so some bloggers began making tutorials on Era’s makeup. For example, the famous blogger Rebeka Kárpáti made a tutorial on Era’s makeup.

On the YouTube channel Brash & Brilliant they also showed a tattoo of Era’s makeup.

Era was one of those who also introduced the purple lipstick trend.

Florists never cease to amaze with their work. Combining seemingly ordinary flowers such as roses, asters, irises, chrysanthemums, with modern elements decor, floral art professionals create masterpieces that you want to capture on paper and in your memory. It is no coincidence that a bouquet of flowers from Megaflowers is a win-win for any joyful event. Unfortunately, the composition, even made from fresh flowers, is not durable. But if you follow simple recommendations, you can extend the life of the bouquet.

Important: when buying a bouquet, pay attention to the condition of the flowers. The heads of the roses should be elastic, the stems should be free of spots, the leaves should be shiny and not drooping. The period of their attractiveness depends on the initial freshness of flowers.

Water preparation

The water for the bouquet should be settled, without bleach. To improve water quality, purchase from flower shop special tool. If flower delivery is ordered through the Megaflowers company, then this product will be offered to you free of charge along with the bouquet. To prevent pathogenic bacteria from developing in water, add Activated carbon. In practice, to improve the properties of water, soda is also used in the amount of less than a teaspoon per liter of water. Do not allow the water in the vase to become cloudy, change it often and spray the flowers.

Preparing flowers

Before immersing flowers in water, their stems should be trimmed. This is done with a sharp knife at an angle. In some cases, when the stems become lignified, they can be flattened and split. This will make it easier for water and nutrients to flow into the flower. The thorns of the rose, as well as the lower leaves of the flowers that end up in the water, should be removed. Getting them wet will speed up the process of rotting and withering of flowers.

Where to put the bouquet?

A bouquet of flowers should not be placed next to fruits: they emit gas that accelerates the withering of the bouquet. The condition of the bouquet is also affected by the temperature of the room. Flowers are best preserved at a temperature of 18-20 degrees. At the same time, they do not like drafts and hot air from heating devices.

Compatibility of flowers in a bouquet

If you yourself act as a florist, then when assembling a bouquet, consider their compatibility. So, roses are not “friendly” with tulips, but they tolerate the proximity of lilies normally. Hyacinths and daffodils should not be added to bouquets with other flowers: they have a depressing effect on them.

If all these conditions are met, your bouquet will delight you with its beauty and freshness for a long time.

If you're looking for something easy to make but delicious for your lunch or dinner, then this traditional Mexican vegetable soup with meatballs is perfect and brings a little Mexican flavor to your dinner table.

At Albondigas, the meatballs are made with ground beef, but you can make them with pork or a mixture of beef and pork. Chicken is also quite suitable. Rice and spices are added to the minced meat. The meatballs are soft and flavorful and just melt in your mouth!

Plus, this soup is filled with fresh vegetables like celery, zucchini, carrots, onions, and potatoes. And best of all, this soup is actually quite easy to make.

Ingredients for Mexican soup

To prepare the meatballs:

  • 450 g minced beef or pork;
  • 1 clove of garlic;
  • 80-100 g of semi-cooked rice;
  • 1 tsp dried oregano;
  • 1 tsp. ground cumin;
  • 1 tsp. chopped fresh parsley;
  • 1 egg;
  • ½ teaspoon salt;
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper.

To prepare the soup:

  • 1 tbsp. l. olive oil;
  • 1 medium onion;
  • 2 cloves of garlic;
  • 1 carrot;
  • 2 stalks of celery;
  • 2 pcs. potatoes;
  • 1 l. chicken broth;
  • 1-1.5 l. water;
  • 400 g tomatoes per own juice;
  • ½ teaspoon oregano;
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cumin;
  • 1 medium zucchini (250 g);
  • A couple of drops of lemon juice;
  • Spices to taste;
  • Fresh parsley and cilantro for garnish.

Albondigas Soup Instructions

Step 1. Cooking meatballs. Combine all meatball ingredients in a large bowl. With wet hands, form small meatballs approximately the size of Walnut. Makes about 35 meatballs, depending on how big you make them. Place the meatballs in the refrigerator.

Step 2. It's time to prepare our vegetables for the soup. Peel the onion and finely chop it into cubes. Peel 2 cloves of garlic, after which you need to chop it using a garlic press or grater. Peel the carrots and cut into thin strips. Next, you need to wash and cut the celery and zucchini into small pieces, also peel and cut the potatoes into medium-sized cubes.

Step 3. Preparing the soup. Heat in a medium saucepan olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes. Then add chopped garlic, carrots, celery and potatoes. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the vegetables begin to soften. Don't forget to stir frequently.

Step 4. Pour broth, water and a can of tomatoes into the pan with vegetables. Add cumin and oregano, stir. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to medium-low, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.

Step 5. Take the meatballs out of the refrigerator and throw them into the boiling soup. Stir and cover with a lid, cook over medium heat for another 10 minutes. Then add the zucchini and cook for about 5 minutes more or until the zucchini is tender.

Step 6. Add lemon juice and season with pepper and salt to taste. Serve with chopped cilantro or parsley.

That's it, our soup is ready! Bon appetit, or as they say in Mexico, Buen provecho!

Of course, manicure is not the first thing people pay attention to when communicating with you, but believe me, it is one of those elements that create your image and opinion about your style. In order to keep up with the latest trends and not become an accomplice to anti-trends, let’s get acquainted with the manicure trends in 2018.

Nail shape

Trend 👌 Almond, oval and soft square are the most popular nail shapes for this season. And also trendy short and middle length nails.

Antitrend 😒 Very long nails are a thing of the past. There is an alternative for lovers of long nails, but it has its own nuances. Nails should not be of super critical length, they should not be sharp and square in shape.

Manicure color

Trend 👌 All shades of nude, purple, red, khaki, burgundy, black, transparent and pastel manicure are all a trend.

Antitrends 😒 Neon colors and colored jackets have become simply unacceptable this season.

Manicure design 2018

Trends 👌 Plain coating, marble with glitter, geometry, large crystals and 3D cat's eye. This is exactly what the most fashionable and trendy manicure design will be.

Antitrends 😒 Piercing, stepping, glitter, confetti, sculpting and nail art on nails are an absolute anti-trend.

Trend 1– purple, lavender, pink. The main color of 2018 in the fashion industry according to Pantone is ultraviolet, so, of course, there will be a lot of it. This is a very bright trend and a rather difficult color to combine; you need to be careful with it.

And also fresh new trend this season - pastel lavender, a beautiful and feminine color, which is already presented in many mass markets and shops. And if this shade suits you, then you are simply fabulously lucky. And those for whom soft pastel colors are not very suitable can take a closer look at bright pink clothes, while in the spring-summer 2018 season pink will be fashionable in all its forms, from pastel to bright fuchsia.

Trend 2– cage, flowers, pop art. As for the fashionable print of 2018, you will be surprised, because the cage is still at the peak of popularity, regardless of color, shape, size. The check will be everywhere on trench coats, coats, bags, trousers, hats, in general, everywhere. And again, a print from past seasons, which quite often appeared on the catwalk in designer collections for spring-summer 2018, is a floral print. The only thing that has changed is the size of the flowers - they have become even larger.

From the latest prints - pop art. For some designers it was comics, for others it was works of art, in any case it was something new and interesting.

Trend 3– fringe. Long fringe is a trend that designers all unanimously support in their collections at shows.

Trend 4– plastic. Plastic clothing is the most unexpected trend that has been used even in the collections of the most famous designers such as Chanel and Valentino.

Trend 5– trench coats. Unusual trench coats are a very interesting trend, as this time the designers played with unusual cuts, inserts, belts, and patterns.

Trend 6– denim. Stylists and designers suggest concentrating on dark denim and denim. The most fashionable way to wear denim is still a total look.

Trend 7– sport. Sportswear is now at the peak of its popularity: sports jackets, suits, oversized items - it's all in fashion.

Trend 8– logo. Logomania is the main one fashion trend and a sign of the style of the 2000s – this season received a second life. Giant brand logos appear on clothing and accessories.

Trend 9– minimalism and masculinity. Pantsuits are trendy again this season, and minimalism is still in trend.

These were the most important trends of the spring-summer 2018 season that you should know about. Choose the trends that suit you, then you will be the most stylish and fashionable.

We often discuss fashion trends, offered by famous designers, and the variations of clothing that we introduce into our wardrobe. But very often we leave behind all this those trends and those wonderful pieces that designers offer us from the category of something extreme, new, exclusive. Of course, this is sometimes very shocking, but it’s still worth remembering them and looking at the strange variations of clothes that fashion designers offered us, but for some reason we don’t yet accept them and don’t want to introduce them into our wardrobe.
