How a beautiful mother yogi became Baba Yaga. Mother Yogini and Baba Yaga

BABA YOGA (Yogini-Mother) Eternally beautiful, Loving, kind-hearted Goddess-Patron of orphans and children in general. She wandered around Midgard-Earth either on a fiery Heavenly chariot, or on horseback through all the lands where the Clans of the Great Race and the descendants of the Heavenly Clan lived, gathering homeless orphans in towns and villages.

In every Slavic-Aryan Vesi, even in every populous city or settlement, the Patron Goddess was recognized by radiant kindness, tenderness, meekness, love and elegant boots decorated with gold patterns, and they showed Her where orphans live.

Ordinary people called the Goddess in different ways, but always with tenderness, who was Grandmother Yoga, the Golden Leg, and who, quite simply, was Yogini-Mother.

Fire Rite

Yoginya delivered orphans to her foothill Skete, which was located in the very thicket of the forest, at the foot of the Iri mountains (Altai). She did all this in order to save these last representatives from the most ancient Slavic and Aryan Clans from inevitable death.
In the foothill Skete, where the Yogin-Mother led orphans through the Fiery rite of initiation to the Ancient Higher Gods, there was a Temple of the Family, carved inside the mountain. Near the mountain Temple of the Family, in the rock there was a special recess, which the Priests of the Family called - the Cave of Ra. A stone platform was put forward from it, divided by a ledge into two equal recesses, called lapata'. In one recess, which was closer to the Cave of Ra, Mother Yogini laid sleeping orphans in white clothes. Dry brushwood was placed in the second recess, after which the lapata was moved back into the Cave of Ra, and the Yogini set fire to the brushwood.

For all those present at the Fiery Rite, this meant that orphans were dedicated to the Ancient Higher Gods, and no one else would see them in the worldly life of the Clans. Foreigners, who sometimes attended the Fire Rites, very colorfully told in their area that they watched with their own eyes how small children were sacrificed to the Ancient Gods, thrown alive into the Fiery Furnace, and this was done by Baba Yoga. The strangers were unaware that when the pavement platform was moved into the Cave of Ra, a special mechanism lowered the stone slab onto the ledge of the paw, and separated the recess with the children from the Fire. When the Fire in the Cave of Ra was lit, the Priests of the Family carried orphans from the recess on the paw to the premises of the Temple of the Family.

Subsequently, priests and priestesses were raised from orphans, and when they became adults, young men and women created families and continued their clan. But the strangers did not know any of this and continued to spread tales that the wild Priests of the Slavic and Aryan peoples, and especially the bloodthirsty Baba Yoga, sacrifice orphans to the Gods. These stupid foreign tales influenced the Image of the Yogini-Mother, especially after the Christianization of Rus', when the Image of a beautiful young Goddess was replaced by the image of an ancient evil and hunchbacked old woman with matted hair, who steals small children, roasts them in an oven in a forest hut and then eats them. Even the name of the Goddess of Yoga was distorted, they began to call Her "

Who in our world can be more defenseless than children? By virtue of their natural purity and defenselessness, children have special care of God for themselves.

Each baptized child, however, like an adult, is accompanied by his Guardian Angel, who helps, guides, protects on the path of life. The Lord Jesus Christ Himself, who said “Do not hinder the children from coming to Me…” saves the children. And the Mother of God is the Mother of children, and much closer than any mother in the flesh.

Among the countless host of saints of God, glorified by the Holy Spirit in the Church, there are those who are considered purely protective of children, which is associated with the peculiarities of their earthly life and the nature of the feat.

Often we think about what icon helps children, protects children? What image to present to a child as a gift, what saint to pray for help to children?

Here is a list and descriptions of the lives of only some of the saints who are the patrons of children:

Holy Martyr Neophyte of Nicaea

The Holy Martyr Neophyte, a native of Nicaea, grew up in strict Christian piety. For meekness, abstinence and prayerful work, he was glorified in his adolescence by the gift of miracles. Once, by the miraculous appearance of a dove, the saint was taken out of his parental home and brought to a cave in which a wild lion lived. It was in this cave that Neophyte lived until the age of fifteen, leaving it only once in order to bury his parents and distribute the inheritance to the poor.

During the persecution of Diocletian, he voluntarily came to Nicaea and fearlessly began to expose the iniquities of the pagans. The infidel persecutors betrayed him to cruel tortures. After many torments: beatings, sitting in the oven for several days, etc., the saint remained unharmed. Then the saint was condemned to be eaten by wild beasts. The naked saint was tied to a post and a wild bear was released on him. The beast roared towards the saint, but stopped abruptly, looked at him, and then returned to its place. The ruler and all who gathered for this spectacle were greatly amazed.

Then they released the most ferocious she-bear, which was let out on the lists only twice a year, as she was very angry and killed many people. She, having run up, threw herself at the feet of the saint, seeing in him the saint of God, and then also peacefully retreated to her place. Then a very large and extremely ferocious lion was brought to the ruler, which was caught in the wilderness five days ago and has not been fed at all since.

The ruler ordered that this lion be released on Saint Neophyte. The people were horrified when they looked at this lion, as he was huge and ferocious. The lion, approaching the saint, looked at him, stopped, and tears flowed from his eyes. Then the beast began to lick the feet of St. Neophyte. It was the same lion that St. Neophyte found on Mount Olympus, in a stone cave, and, taking his former place, sent him to another place. Recognizing him, the Saint commanded him to return to his first dwelling, at the same time the Saint forbade him to harm the people gathered in this place and anyone in general. The lion, bowing to the martyr, went from him with a terrible roar, broke down the gates of the stadium and quickly began to move among the people. Everyone rushed to run, fearing to be torn to pieces, but the lion, without hurting anyone, fled into the desert, at the command of the saint. The ruler, filled with fear and horror, ordered the martyr to be killed immediately. There was one animal-like foreigner standing there, he rushed at the saint and, striking him with a spear right in the chest, pierced the body through and through. Thus the Holy Martyr Neophyte gave his soul into the hands of the Lord, having lived fifteen years from his birth.

The Holy Martyr Neophyte is the patron and protector of children.

Holy Infant - Martyr Gabriel of Bialystok

Gabriel was born on March 22, 1684 in the village of Zverki, Belostok district, Grodno province, in a family of pious Orthodox Christians - peasants Peter and Anastasia. He grew up a meek, kind boy, he liked to spend time in quiet solitude.

On April 11, 1690, shortly before Holy Pascha, the mother of six-year-old Gabriel brought lunch to her husband, who was working in the field. At that very time, a Jewish tenant climbed into the house, kissed the child and, treacherously stealing Gabriel, took him to the city of Bialystok, where the baby was subjected to terrible torment: they crucified, pierced his sides, gradually bleeding. On the ninth day of the exercise, the child died, his body was thrown into a field near the village of Zverki.

The hungry dogs that found the body of the baby not only did not attack him, but even guarded the body from the attacks of birds of prey. After a while, the villagers began to come to the barking of the dogs. People found the martyr and realized that the baby died as a result of a ritual murder. The body of the tortured Gabriel, with a large gathering of Orthodox people, struck by unprecedented atrocities, was interred not far from the village church.

Thirty years later, the relics of the saint remained incorrupt. In 1746, the temple in which the baby was buried burned down, but the holy relics miraculously survived. The handle was only partially burned, but when the holy relics were transferred to the monastery, it miraculously healed and became covered with skin again. The Holy Martyr Gabriel is considered the patron and healer of children.

Saint Stylian was born in Paphlagonia in the 5th century. From childhood he showed a rare aspiration for a holy life. By the grace of God, both as a child and as a youth, he repelled all the attacks of the enemy. As he approached youth, his soul more and more aspired to a holy life. Having reached adulthood, Saint Stylian distributed all his possessions to the poor, saying these words: "I threw off the heavy anchor that kept me tied to the desires of my fallen body. From now on, the path to true life is open before me."

After this Saint Stylian accepted monasticism. Gradually, with the help of labor and prayer, Saint Stylian ascended the spiritual ladder of obedience and love for God. Wanting to be even closer to God, he went into the deserted desert, where he settled in a cave.

The words of the Savior entered deeply into Stilian's heart: "Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven" (Matthew 18:1-4). Children are gentle, simple. The Lord, knowing of Stilian's ardent desire to acquire children's faith and purity, granted him the grace of patronage for children. Mothers walked for days in the desert from nearby towns and villages, bringing their sick children to him for healing. Saint Stylian took the child in his mother's arms, tearfully asked God for healing, and certainly received it. Through the prayers of the saint, barren women became mothers of many children. And after the Dormition of the saint, barren women who prayed at the icon of St. Stylian always received healing.

Saint Stylian reposed in the Lord, already an old man. The fame of the saint spread throughout the Christian world. Saint Stylian is still the patron saint of children. The name Stylian (Greek "pillar") comes from "stylono", which means "strengthen", "maintain" the health of children. On the icon, the saint is written holding one or more babies in his arms.

The patron saint of each particular child, of course, is the saint in whose honor he is named in the Sacrament of Holy Baptism. It is extremely important for any Orthodox person to know his heavenly patron well and to be able to turn to him for help and with gratitude, learn to mentally turn to him and raise thoughts to God. In order to make the presence of a saint in the life of a child more real and visible, you can give him a unique and unforgettable gift - a measured or nominal icon. In the icon-painting workshop "Measured icon" experienced craftsmen will write for you an image that will become a moral guide and a faithful protector of your child for life. If you are lucky enough to be parents in a large family, and it is important for you that your children have an icon that protects them spiritually, then a family icon can become a wonderful collective image for the whole family.

It is important to understand that the icon of a saint who patronizes children is not a talisman. But the Lord Himself helps us with His Graceful energies, through the prayers of the saint, to whom we turn through the icon.

Baba Yoga (Yogini-Mother) is the ever-beautiful, loving, kind-hearted Goddess Patron of orphans and children in general. Ordinary people called the Goddess in different ways, but always with tenderness, who was Grandmother Yoga Golden Foot (because the boots are decorated with gold), and who in a very simple way - Yogini-Mother.

Yoginya delivered orphans to her foothill Skete, which was located in the very thicket of the forest, at the foot of the Iri mountains (Altai), i.e. where the river Irtysh (Iriy the quietest) begins. She did all this in order to save these last representatives from the most ancient Slavic and Aryan Clans from inevitable death.

In the foothill Skete, where Yognia-Mother led orphans through the Fiery rite of initiation to the Ancient Higher Gods, there was a Temple of the Family, carved inside the mountain. Near the mountain Temple of the Family, in the rock there was a special recess, which the Priests of the Family called - the Cave of Ra. A stone platform protruded from it, divided by a ledge into two equal recesses, called - lapata (because it is decorated with carved stucco molding, hence the word "beauty"). In one recess, which was closer to the Cave of Ra, Mother Yogini laid sleeping orphans in white clothes. Dry brushwood was put into the second recess, after which the lapata was moved back into the Cave of Ra, and the Yogini set fire to the brushwood.

For all those present at the Fiery Rite, this meant that orphans were dedicated to the Ancient Higher Gods and no one else would see them in the worldly life of the Clans. Foreigners who sometimes attended the Fiery rites told very colorfully in their area that they watched with their own eyes how small children were sacrificed to the Ancient Gods, thrown alive into the Fiery Furnace, and Baba Yoga did this. The strangers were unaware that when the shovel platform moved into the Cave of Ra, a special mechanism lowered the stone slab onto the shovel ledge and separated the depression with the children from the Fire.

When the Fire in the Cave of Ra was lit, the Priests of the Family carried orphans from the recess on the paw to the premises of the Temple of the Family. Subsequently, priests and priestesses were raised from orphans, and when they became adults, young men and women created families and continued their clan. But the strangers did not see any of this and continued to spread tales that the wild Priests of the Slavic and Aryan peoples, and especially the bloodthirsty Baba Yoga, sacrifice orphans to the Gods. Even the name of the Goddess of Yoga was distorted, they began to call Her "Baba Yaga bone leg" and began to frighten the Goddess of all children.
