A little about victory

Maxim Galkin won the Just the Same program, scoring 273 points. But I had to share my first place with Evgeny Dyatlov - an actor and just a wonderful person. However, the winners were not upset, but were only glad that they were able to stand on the podium together.

As for the audience award, it's only Maxim. It was he who created vivid and memorable images that the audience remembers with admiration. A worthy victory for a worthy winner!

The return of Maxim Galkin to Channel One in the show "" was stunning. Under cover of secrecy, he prepared a number in the image of Charles Aznavour - after the speech, the judges wondered for ten minutes who was in front of them. And in the end they gasped: “Max!” Since then, every week one of the most experienced parodists of our stage prepares a chic number. The TV program magazine found out how the artist works on the next image and how he looks like the monster of Dr. Frankenstein. Acting teacher Andrey Droznin and make-up artist Natella Ivleva helped take a peek behind the scenes.

Maksim Galkin:“I'm not used to plastic makeup. It is one thing to work with the voice and diaphragm when nothing interferes, and another thing when the face is constrained, the jaw is heavy, the lips are not your own. Yes, makeup helps to enter the image, but it interferes with everything that is needed to change the voice.

Andrey Droznin:“In the original number, Lindemann hits his knee in the first minute - we decided to move this gesture deeper into the room, because it prevented Maxim from entering on time. But this is completely unprincipled for the image! Maxim's character turned out to be more humane, interesting and multi-layered than the prototype. We have defined this image as "the suffering monster of Dr. Frankenstein, who is trying to humanize."

Natella Ivleva:“We almost immediately found the image, because Maxim and Til have a similar face shape, and this is the most important thing to achieve similarity. Sewing a wig was not easy - it was necessary to achieve the texture of dirty, greasy hair. A very subtle moment with makeup - you need to be able to “not go into a girl” by drawing eyes.

Maksim Galkin:“The number was relatively light, because the voice is male and close to me in terms of range and tessitura. And if we talk about the French language, then we can say that I have been preparing for the role of Charles Aznavour since I was 10 years old. I studied French culture and music for many years.”

Andrey Droznin:“Maxim had an understanding of the vocals and the nature of this artist right away. But to portray Aznavour purely outwardly at first did not work out very well. We worked hard to repeat the slightly bent figure of Aznavour, his position in relation to the camera.

Natella Ivleva:“I think that the image of Aznavour in old age was deliberately taken to confuse the viewer and take him away from the real artist who is under the mask. Elements of plastic make-up were applied as usual. Maxim knows how to delicately use all the tools that make-up offers him.

Maksim Galkin:“So far this is the most difficult number for me. It was necessary to keep the crystal of the voice throughout the song. With this crystallity, I ran all week: I didn’t eat spicy, I kept the bunch, although I had concerts in Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk and Kazan.

Andrey Droznin:“At first, Maxim was actively working on vocals, he treats this very carefully. Then we paid attention to the posture of Anna Herman, her position. Maxim almost immediately got into a restrainedly proud pose, in which he worked out the number. I asked him not to forget about an important detail: during the performance of "Echo" Herman makes a single gesture - as if moving away from the "creeping darkness" during the second verse. She did not make this movement in front of the public, she was just so filled with the song that it happened involuntarily. Subtle moment! Of all the works of Maxim for me, this one is the most perfect.

Natella Ivleva:“Contrasting images (young - old, man - woman) are easier for make-up artists to do: everything is created from scratch, there are details that you can catch on. With Anna German's wig, I had to conjure - it was very important not to make a mistake with the hair color.

Maksim Galkin:“I think that in the numbers of the show“ Just the same ”I manage to express what I can’t do in solo performances. After all, in the program I have to work in new conditions for myself - this is not my concert, where the atmosphere and program are created by me and the audience is already prepared. “Just the same” is a more nervous situation for me.”

Andrey Droznin:“Here Maxim had a hard time. It is insanely difficult to dance and sing in such a rhythm for seven minutes without stopping. I suggested that he change the nature of the movements at the beginning: make them easier, keeping the pattern of the dance, so as to save strength until the end of the number.

Natella Ivleva:“We wanted to use colored contact lenses, but we were afraid. Maxim's dance lasted 7 minutes, it's a huge eye strain. In addition, in this issue we worked for a long time on the color of the skin - the paint with which Maxim was painted was supposed to be not "Egyptian", red-brown, but "Indian" - gray-brown. This is the difficulty: all paints are based on red, and the TV only enhances it. Each speck becomes three times brighter. I had to remember all the knowledge of color science in order to create the right skin tone.

Maksim Galkin:“When the diaphragm is constricted by a corset and at the same time you are standing on your heels, this cannot but interfere. It's much harder to take a breath and work in character. But from an acting point of view, it helps: you believe in yourself more when you look in the mirror.”

Maria Callas. Photo: REX/FOTODOM.ru

Andrey Droznin:“Oddly enough, sometimes it’s even easier to make a female image for our show - the further the artist moves away from himself, the more it mobilizes him. Maxim and I discussed the dramaturgy in detail, but the image that Maria Callas gave in the Habanera aria did not work out. Maxim's performance was restrained and harmonious, and not imperious and even aggressive, like Kallas's. And Lyubov Kazarnovskaya noticed this.

Natella Ivleva:“At that time, we already knew how to make a female image for Maxim, so as not to go into vulgarity. We got an expensive, luxurious woman. For the accuracy of the image, the waist was emphasized, the butt was enlarged, the neck was made, the nails were covered with bright varnish.

Galkin will win?

Andrey Droznin:“The vast experience of Maxim Galkin helps him - he knows how to work, how to prepare for the number. But that doesn't make it easy for him. After all, when he acts as a parodist, we see Maxim Galkin portraying someone. And in the show "" he cannot be Maxim Galkin. He has to give up himself and try on the image of another artist on a common basis. Therefore, it cannot be said that he is clearly superior to other contestants.”

"Exactly the same"
Sunday/17.50, Channel One

Yesterday, December 27, in the semi-finals of the parody show "Just Like It" Maxim Galkin made a splash by going on stage in the image of his wife Alla Pugacheva. For the number, which the audience, as expected, met with a bang, the actor and parodist chose Alla's performance in 1998 at Igor Nikolaev's creative evening with the song "Ferryman". Maxim managed to transform into a Prima Donna almost one hundred percent, and the only element that raised questions from the jury and from Alla herself, who joined her husband in the final of the performance, was Galkin's long muscular legs.

Needless to say, that all members of the jury awarded Maxim the highest score of five points? The only one who not only showered in compliments, but also made a share of criticism in his comment about Galkin's number, was Pugacheva's admirer Maxim Averin. Despite the fact that his favorite singer and her husband were standing on the stage in front of him, the actor took the liberty of expressing his opinion honestly and without prejudice.

Max, the image is not finished, - said Averin. - You know, this is the most difficult thing - to create an image that is so close to you and which is so familiar to everyone. Therefore, probably, something happened inside, because in your performance there was no this search, characteristic of Alla. I believe that this is "undershoot" due to the excitement associated with the fact that next to you is the "original".

Nevertheless, Maxim Averin gave Galkin a five, and he scored a total of 20 points, retaining his leadership position in the competition. Can't wait to see what number the parodist will present in the final of the show, which will air on January 1st.
