Meditative painting by Zili Nikitina. What is meditative drawing

I discovered Zili Nikitina’s paintings in Arkaim, where she is very famous. That's enough unusual painting, because it is impossible to evaluate it the way we, for the most part, are accustomed to evaluating works of art.
Technology is not important here no matter how or what the picture was painted, all that matters is that what you see and what you feel.

I would like to warn you right away that the artist has a very unconventional view of the world. Her meditative sensations and visions can be treated differently, but why don’t we look into someone’s reality?

When preparing the article, I once again had to face the misfortune of many artists - the lack of decent reproductions of their works on the Internet. So don't blame me for the small images.

Zilya (Zulfiya) Nikitina - professional artist. Born in the city of Ufa in 1966, she graduated from the theater department of the Ufa School of Arts. WITH early childhood her reality was filled with angels, shining Deities, parallel spaces, sensations of the past. According to her, her deep touch with the Divine began in 1990. After 7 years, she began to paint meditative paintings and practice meditative drawing with children.

"Light World"

The artist talks about this period of her life as follows: “Those miracles and visions that accompanied me as a child began to unfold. The children I studied with became my first teachers. I saw that these were only small bodies, but in fact they were old ancient Spirits and Teachers. They told me about the structure of the world (although they themselves had not read about it anywhere, and no one told them). When you treat children with respect and as equals, without looking down on you, they begin to trust you and open up.”

The main themes of her painting are the ancient Aryans, Arkaim and India, in which the artist spends a long time (mainly in Puttaparthi, in the Ashram of Sathya Sai Baba - a teacher, a famous spiritual and religious figure of India). Zilya paints his paintings in meditation, completely alone, without going outside and without communicating with anyone. Often such meditations last for several days until the painting is completed.

According to the artist, she sees color first. “Some pictures and images come spontaneously, and then there is an unbearable desire to put it on paper as soon as possible. This is how the images of the Mandala of Time of the Universe and the Mandala of Durga came. Now I see paintings three-dimensionally. In the space above the picture, when the sheet is still empty, everything is already there: color, shape, and as in computer graphics everything moves and plays. I don’t sign my paintings on top because I think you can’t add your own signature. This does not belong to me, I understand this clearly. I simply shoot a certain slice of space with certain vibration frequencies, and I understand that these are the windows through which the Gods work.”

“The Ancient Spirit of Aryan Arkaim”, 2007

“The Ancient Spirit of Arkaim” was painted in Ufa, the painting is now in Arkaim.
When they see this picture, many people cry - according to the author, this means
that there is a strong transformation of consciousness through memory.

"Spirits of the Sirius Stars", 2007

Written in Ufa, now located in Arkaim.

As the author explains, this painting depicts Father and Mother, young and together for the first time on one canvas.
The artist first saw her father during meditation in 1998 as an ancient old man ruling Sirius.
From this meditation came a vision of Sirius himself - his landscapes, palaces, ships, which appear in her other paintings. The image of the Mother was first formed in 2003.

"Sirius", 2007

The same Father and Mother, but older.
Against the background of the landscapes of Sirius.

"Sirian Divine Mother", 2009

It took more than six months to write it; the artist worked on it in India.

According to the artist, “The Sirian Divine Mother is also from the Aryans, the White Light Gods.
Several people have shared with me their experiences that She awakens the Divine feminine, the dignity and honor that ancient Aryan women once possessed. In her is the glorious power of the White Gods, the wonderful beauty of women, blessed by the One Mother of the world. The teacher says that now Mother Earth lacks yin (feminine) energy, which only women release, and only when they are happy. She lacks this energy because for many centuries men have offended and humiliated women. But only a woman is capable of emitting this energy, which the planet so needs now. The teacher also says that the man is in the waiting room of God, and the woman is with God himself. Because only women have highly developed qualities such as sacrifice and compassion.”

"White Gods", 2010

The picture was painted and is located in Ufa.
It depicts the God of the wind Stribog and Mother Earth.

Here the artist refers to the Slavic-Aryan Vedas, who say that soon we will enter from the “chamber of the Fox” into the “chamber of the Wolf” - into an era in which culture will flourish and the self-awareness of humanity will rise.
During this period, man will begin to turn his attention to nature, stop destroying it and begin to support it.
Modern astrology is talking about some analogue of this phenomenon -
about the upcoming transition of the era of Pisces into the era of Aquarius.

In meditation the author came to know, “that the Aryans (White Light Gods) left the Earth and flew to Sirius and Orion.
In the Urals it was understood that the Aryans lived in complete harmony with the universe, and we need to remember this miracle, return to the origins of Love.”

Here's the story behind the painting:
“When I started drawing it, a flurry of energy hit me with such force that it simply turned me off, I could barely draw. They began to communicate with me from the picture, when there was still only a sketch, there were not even faces. Then I realized that this picture should radiate living divine grace, healing and switching people’s consciousness to more high levels consciousness, giving joy and love, the original light, pouring out either subtly and gently, or in a stormy noisy stream.

Again and again I remember the words of the children that paintings are portals to another space, they are like open gates through which we let in cleansing energy, the grace of God...

This is what began to reveal itself to me in “White Gods”: in the lower right corner there is a crystal of rebirth.
The pyramid above it is light and energy. In the background is an interplanetary base, and then - architecture, if you can call it that word, although these are not just houses in our usual understanding, but spheres.
And the pyramids are, first of all, crystals of time and space, energy accumulators.
These are crystalline zones on earth, where such interplanetary bases are located, and this is all natural life.
There is nothing extra about this; this is a normal reality for them.
At the same time, there is a connection with the forces of nature, with the elements and elements.”

"Aryan Gods Mother Lada and God Rod", 2010

"Buddha", 2007

Written and located in Ufa.

I saw the artist unexpectedly while painting - “golden, glowing, with the most tender smile on his lips, looking at the flowers. This is how it was drawn. The flowers around the Buddha are those that grow in Puttaparthi in India."

"Shiva Pure Love", 2007.

"Krishna", 1998

"Goddess Lakshmi", 2008

It was seen in Puttaparthi, but written in Ufa.
The author continues to work on the female aspect.

"Goddess Saraswati", 2010

Written in India, now located in Moscow.

From the author:
“Goddess Saraswati seemed to me in an unusual, non-standard image, so I drew her as she came to me. That's exactly how I saw the swan. And the Peacock is a symbol of unmanifested deep knowledge and, in general, everything unmanifested.”

P.S.:
Managed to find a larger image.
Here you can see that the paintings are quite textured.
Small reproductions eat up all the features :(

"The Place Where God Was Born", 2006

"Feminine", 2009

“Durga Mandala - Sanity”, 2010

"Three Laws of the Universe", 2009

“Mandala of Time of our Universe”, 2007

"Worlds and Spaces", 2011

"Mother Earth", 2007

P.P.S.:
The participants of our trip photographed this picture in Arkaim from the original.
Unfortunately, the photographer did not turn off the flash.
The canvas is quite large, textured and with tints.

Doodling and Zentangle

Doodling and zentangle are directions intuitive drawing. You take paper, pen or pencil and write different squiggles on a sheet of paper. Although there are some differences between doodling and zentangle, there are no special rules or requirements.
IN doodling you can start drawing from anywhere, gradually adding details in different sides. You can draw it without really thinking about the composition or the repeatability/unrepeatability of the drawing. We draw for relaxation rather than for focus and concentration. There are no proprietary patterns or paper requirements in doodling. It can be absolutely anything.

IN zentangle there are certain rules. It is drawn on 9 by 9 cm squares.
It is customary to limit the drawing area to a line (arbitrary, but still), or even several sector lines in which different patterns. Zentangle is a patented drawing technique that has its own specific rules. These patterns and rules were patented by the authors of the idea, Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas. They define Zentangle as a form of meditative art. The process itself is a form of meditation using a pen and pencil.

Zentangle Inspired

At the intersection of doodling and zentangle, ZIA appeared - ZenInspiratedArt, in Russian - Zenart *. In fact, we call zenart graphic images containing patterns. This is a drawing technique that does not require special training skills, helps you relax, enjoy the process, learn to immerse yourself in a state of meditation, and creatively improve yourself.

Philosophy of Meditative Drawing

The world has accelerated significantly over the past 100 years. Judge for yourself:
-We fly around half the earth in 12 hours
-We go on vacation for 3-7 days
-We use fast foods
-Transmit thoughts over great distances in a matter of seconds
-Learned how to accelerate the growth of plants and animals
And all this speed requires compensation. It is important to spend some time alone, slow down, and meditate. For me the most the best way It turned out to be drawing. Of course, I don't have a lot of time to sit at canvas and paint. My happy discovery turned out to be zenart.
You don't need years of training or hours of sketching. I draw 20 minutes a day and find great pleasure and peace.

PURPOSE OF DRAWING:

CALM YOUR MIND AND BRING YOUR THOUGHTS IN ORDER.

When we practice (yes, as in yoga, or in martial arts) zenart, we clear our consciousness of everything superfluous and unnecessary. Therefore, we pay the main attention to the Drawing PROCESS, and the result is secondary.
Meditative drawing – great way start drawing. It's much easier than oil or watercolor.

There is no need to study for a long time and sit for hours on sketches. 20 minutes a day is enough
You can start at any age (I read about those who started at 60 - and are happy!)
Each practitioner produces his own unique masterpieces

P.S. In the Russian Federation the name "Zenart" is registered trademark Studio Drawing City.

Who can answer: “What is meditative painting?” An artist who paints such pictures, due to the incompatibility of artistic truth with external reality, becomes the cause of a tragic misunderstanding of him by society. It’s much easier for him to follow the average person, who puts the “PHOTO” style in first place, and what is superficially beautiful is the main thing for him.

But the average person has already been taught to accept and “digest” the art of the impressionists and surrealists (or they pretend that fashion requires this of them). But meditative art causes complete rejection in him. He twists his finger at his temple, pointing to the creator of such art. What are the reasons for the average person’s rejection of the art of meditation?

Dayat - paintings for meditation and healing

Dayats are paintings that are intended for meditative contemplation. In addition, dayats are used to improve health and treat many diseases, as well as to normalize mental state, especially before or after events that require great emotional stress, to restore strength.

Translated, dayata means giver, giver.

Dayats have been known to yogis since ancient times. Visually, they represent images of certain geometric shapes which are painted in bright colors. There were always 108 give. Mantras are written on the front and back. During meditation, they must be pronounced, which will enhance the effect of their impact. Each painting has a legend that helps to understand its essence. In the original, the dayats are painted on canvas in oil, the size of the painting is 99x99 cm.

The process of creating dayat has always been a secret and was transmitted exclusively from teachers to students.

Sumiyo - divine brush

It is generally accepted that the art of Sumiyo originates in China, but it also has roots in Japan. Sumiyo is religious in nature. The source of the creation of paintings lies beyond ordinary consciousness person. This is a direct transmission of divine energy.
The artist, creating these paintings, is separated from his creation. He is only a movement, fulfilling the will of the beyond. And often what appears under the movements of his brush surprises not only those around him, but also himself.
Each painting is a mystery, unraveling which is the highest pleasure and spiritual insight.

Mandala - model of the Universe

A mandala is a model of the Universe expressed in geometric symbols. The shape of a mandala is usually a circle within which is inscribed a square, which has an inner circle, often divided into segments. The outer circle symbolizes the Universe. Inner - the dimension of deities, bodhisattvas, buddhas.
The research of modern psychologists, esotericists and physicists coincides with ancient views on the nature of human consciousness.
Human consciousness is based on the Image.
Contemplation of a mandala is effective tool solutions to deep psychological problems This applies to problems in communication, family, creativity and professional activity. Mandala is based on the principle of unity and integrity.
The mandala is an energy matrix that interacts with a person on a multidimensional level.
By meditating on a mandala, a person connects to the healing source of the energies of the Earth, and it doesn’t matter whether he realizes it or not. Contemplation of a mandala allows a person to move to new level Being filled with harmony and peace.

We are accustomed to solving issues using our rational, logical part of the psyche. But what to do when reason and logic remain powerless when certain situations and issues arise in our lives? Many difficulties and insoluble problems become understandable and accessible to change when a person begins to open his intuitive beginning and actively use his hidden resources and potential.

If you want to awaken your intuition, activate not only the left (logical), but also the right (creative) hemisphere of the brain, engage in such a pleasant, exciting and unusual activity as meditative intuitive painting. It is extremely simple, but very effective and effective exercise.

Preparing to draw.
All you need to get started is to prepare paints (watercolor, gouache or acrylic - your choice), thick sheets of paper (A3 or A4 format), brushes different sizes and soothing meditative music. It is important that during the process of your drawing no one distracts or interferes with you, because at this moment you will be focused on your inner world, you will listen to the voice of intuition, feel new emotions and states.

First part of the intuitive painting session
Before you start drawing, turn on the calm, relaxing music you have chosen. musical compositions. Music should not sound loud, but in the background. Pick up a brush and, listening to your inner feelings, choose the color that currently attracts you. Start making a variety of strokes with this color, with each stroke becoming more involved in the process itself, discarding all unnecessary thoughts and conclusions.

The point of meditative drawing is, first of all, to turn off your mind for a while, and vice versa, turn on emotions, feelings, and intuition. This is an unusual and unusual activity for many people, and having discovered it, you will want to return to it periodically to relax, get a boost of energy, a surge of strength and a new vision of yourself and your questions.

When you have already managed to free your mind from the mental mess, plunge into the world of experiences and creative searches, You will notice how your own painting, which is the fruit of your subconscious and imagination. It can be abstract or, conversely, contain specific symbols and images. Also, already in the process of drawing, you may be visited by unexpected and amazing insights, realizations and new extraordinary ideas. If this happens, rejoice and praise yourself, you have already been able to open the door to your subconscious.

Second part of the intuitive painting session
Once you feel that your drawing is completely completed and you don’t want to add anything else to it, just put your brushes and paints aside. Fix your drawing vertically, move a couple of meters away from it and look at the picture from afar (as we usually do in art gallery). Usually, from a certain distance from the drawing, we can notice something new in it, and also look at the entire drawing as a whole. Give your drawing a title, and then come up with a story for it (it’s better to write it down with all the words that come to mind, so that later you can analyze it and get another piece of new information from your subconscious and intuition).

If you like your drawing because of its energy and evokes positive emotions in you, you can decorate your home with it. In this case, the beneficial effects of intuitive painting will last even longer. Your intuitive drawing, coming into your field of vision, will influence you, because you will subconsciously associate it with that pleasant, serene state when you were in the process of creating it. Your drawing is a material confirmation of the wonderful act of pure creativity in which your soul was. If you get into such a pleasant habit - periodically drawing and relaxing in this way - then in the near future you will fully experience the whole gamut positive emotions and feelings: harmony, peace, tranquility, joy, delight, inspiration and much more!

We wish you creative discoveries and peace in your soul.

My friends!

Today I went to the long-awaited seminar session" Meditative painting". I paid the money at the beginning of December last year, even before I embarked on the Path of the artist, and finally, my meeting with the Beautiful took place)))

The classes were taught by Katya Borisova - arts and crafts artist, designer, HATHA yoga instructor.

Painting is one of the oldest forms of meditation, mastering the secrets of consciousness, the path to oneself. Meditative painting conveys information in the form of a drawing, enhanced by a combination of colors and can have different meaning. You will experience the beauty of art and the joy of creativity, learn inner harmony, you will be able to express your feelings and thoughts in painting.
The methods of work in the classroom are based on the natural desire of a person to freely express himself where there are no rules.
With the help of free, non-objective drawing, you gain access to your hidden subconscious, learn to correct it on a symbolic level, without delving into the logic of what is happening.
Essentially, you are learning art rituals, similar to the painting of primitive artists.
Thanks to abstract drawings you can change your attitude towards the past, model the future, learning to live harmoniously in the present.

Even if the only thing you ever drew was the sun, a house and a tree, and this was in distant childhood, and you no longer remember how gouache differs from watercolor, in class you will be surprised to discover that you have the ability to draw There is. In the classes you learn not only and not so much drawing, but how to trust yourself and your inner “I”, develop intuition and self-expression through painting. The main thing is not the technique, but the internal content, state and energy that you put into the drawing.

The first thing we had to do was Spontaneous Painting.

Katya gave us the task of doing 5-6 spontaneous paintings materials that are similar in spirit: crayons, gouache, pencils.

Each drawing had to be done quickly, in 5 minutes.

This task opens a creative channel, full immersion into the drawing process and liberation from blocks that impede creative development.

I immediately greedily grabbed the paints.

At home I photographed my work against the most pleasant background for me - the background of my blanket.

Now I not only cover myself with it, but also use it in art objects)))

The second work is with wax crayons.

Of course, there was too little time. I would have depicted abundance here in all its glory, but I didn’t have time.

The third work is with colored pencils.

Portrait in my naive style.

And the fourth - again with paints.

But here I allowed myself to completely liberate myself and smeared a free abstraction.

Today I was very drawn to blue, yellow, and pink.

The next task is to spontaneously depict your emotions arising from different words.

"Love"

"Anger" and "Resentment".

"Joy".

Works of the seminar participants - Tatiana, Andrey and mine.

In the foreground is mine workplace with smeared orange paint on the table.

Then we had Intuitive Painting - getting to know mandalas and creating our own mandala.

Everyone chose a stencil that he liked and began to color it, thinking about the secret.

Tanya thought about success in sports, Andrey about success at work, and I thought about recharging myself with positive energy.

There wasn’t enough time again, I could have painted for another hour. But Katya sounded the all-clear.

This is how my mandala turned out.

Apparently, very subtle energies are imprinted on it)))

I want my humble mandala to give you strength and inspiration too!
