Kipelov musical education. Valery Kipelov biography

Taking his inimitable voice with him from the group, he also took away the army of Aria's fans. Those who changed the inscriptions on T-shirts, but did not change the color of their clothes and long hairstyles, do not separate Kipelov and Aria for themselves.

Ex-leader of the Aria group, leader of the Kipelov project. All sorts of reunions are at the height of fashion now. And in order for them, reunions, to take place, once legendary groups must disintegrate in order to reunite later. Maybe the legendary band "Aria" will someday gather again in its cult composition in so many years, but so far the deepest and most romantic havy-metal voice of the country, Valery Kipelov, who has left it, is developing his independent work quite successfully. Taking his inimitable voice with him from the group, he also took away the army of Aria's fans. Those who changed the inscriptions on T-shirts, but did not change the color of their clothes and long hairstyles, do not separate Kipelov and Aria for themselves. On the line

tsertakh sing along with the noticeably softer songs of the new project and, of course, echo the long-learned lyrics of the songs of the maternal composition, which the ex-Aryans do not refuse to perform at all even now (by the way, in defiance of many, everything is alive!).

-Ksenia: Valery, could you respect a musician who works under the plywood?

Kipelov Valery Kipelov: It is difficult to respect, but I can treat such musicians with understanding. It happens when people are forced to play under the plywood, if the situation develops in such a way that there is no way to play live. For example, on TV, when combined concerts are held, such a thing happens. For example, concerts on the MUZ-TV channel. Nobody plays live there. This is not good, but

where the numbers alternate closely one after another, it is impossible to set up all the equipment. Therefore, this is not even a claim to the musicians, but to the people who organize such events.

-K: What if plywood is not a technical inevitability at all?

-K: Is it possible for you to perform under plywood?

Valery Kipelov: We had such cases. But only when it was simply impossible to play live. There is no equipment, nothing is provided. But since there are certain obligations to

people, you go out ... stupidly trying to portray something. This has happened in our practice.

-K: Are you for quality music?

Valery Kipelov: Yes, for example, we even prohibit any kind of filming at our concerts during the tour. Since pirated products often come out. And in Moscow, and in the regions, all the time. And we would not really want to distribute products with not very high-quality sound, light, not what we would like.

Kipelov K: I have already seen two of your concerts. Incredible energy coming from the stage...

Valery Kipelov: We try to do our best at the concert. This music involves an energy exchange between the musician and the one who came to the hall. I am dr

I just don’t see it: either you go out and honestly work to the end, or you are hacking. We try not to mess around.

-K: And how do you rehabilitate yourself after such an energy surge?

Valery Kipelov: After the concert, I just relax. I do not go to any dinners, parties. For me, this is a closed topic. I get up in the morning - I do therapeutic exercises. When I travel, I take a trainer with me. You have to keep in shape all the time.

-K: Before the concert, the fans sang "Aria", many of them did not have time to change their T-shirts for the symbols of "Kipelov". And, in general, you came to the concert of the Aria group, and not Kipelov, because you are the voice of that Aria, in its legendary composition ...

Kipelov Valery Kipelov: This is absolutely normal

flax. I do not separate myself from what was. After all, I was in Aria from the very beginning, I worked for 17 years. Our new project called "Kipelov" is absolutely self-sufficient. We also perform songs that were in the repertoire of the Aria group, and songs that were written by members of the Kipelov group. I do not separate myself from the past, I do not see any contradictions. For me, there is a stage of life in 17 years, lived in the "Aria". And when fans ask for Aria songs or come in Aria T-shirts, it doesn't annoy me.

-K: The work of the Kipelov group correlates quite strongly with the style of the Aria group. Do you plan to increase their difference in the future?

Valery Kipelov: There is no such desire. That which

we did in the group "Aria" in terms of music, I was quite happy with it. But the appearance of young people in our group, I hope, will bring a new stream to our work. But this is not specifically to be different from what it was before. It's just that life changes...

-Kipelov K: At your concerts, the fans behave so emotionally! It even gives the impression that there is some kind of zombification of the public. Why does your music have such an impact on the audience?

Valery Kipelov: We have a shaman at the drums (laughs). I think it's simple here. I've been to pop music concerts. There, the rooms are arranged in such a way that you can relax, not think about anything, you can listen - you can

do not listen. And our concert is built in such a way that there is no such possibility. Of course, there are harder songs, there are more lyrical ones. There is an energy message from us, it is difficult to relax. Live singing also has an impact. But zombification as such is unlikely to occur. Rather, they are very interested in what is happening on stage. In addition, lately we have been practicing the performance of songs that have not yet been recorded, so they also have to look at the stage, listen, delve into. Lots of factors. Again, we carry a special light with us.

-Kipelov K: How far is the worship of musical idols from sectarianism?

Valery Kipelov: There is a difference. There is a wonderful topic: “Do not make yourself a ku

ira". I am against extreme fanaticism. Yes, at a certain stage of my life I also became a fan of someone, I had certain idols. But there is a difference. For example, I don't like it when fans paint my porch to smithereens. When they are on duty at the entrance, they interfere in personal life. This is already extreme. But there is simply devotion to a certain trend, a group. There is a difference. We do not force you to sell apartments :))).

-K: You consider Ozzy Osbourne your teacher. Did you have to meet him?

Valery Kipelov: No, it didn't work out. In the 89th, when he came to the festival in Moscow, they did not meet, and after that, his tour was disrupted for health reasons. And yet it didn't work out

I would like to meet Osborne! Kipelov But I managed to see each other, talk and even work together with my other idol. This is Dan McCafferty from Nazareth. But I still hope that if Ozzy can for health reasons, and if he doesn't completely go crazy, maybe we'll meet again.

-K: Valery, you have such a courageous image on stage. And what male qualities do you consider the main ones?

Valery Kipelov: Big set. He must be kind, sincere, honest to those around him. A musician must be honest with those who listen to him.

-K: And if you were a woman, would you marry yourself?

Today, one of the founders of the Aria group and the leader of the Kipelov group, Valery Alexandrovich Kipelov, who is rightfully called the father of Russian rock, celebrates his birthday.

Several generations of rock fans have grown up on the work of Valery Kipelov. And the author of the article as well. Popularity? No…that word doesn't really fit. Too pretentious. Public love - yes. Fans of rock music of different generations and ages loved and love his unique style of performance. But there is also something else. Modesty, restraint, a manner of keeping apart from the so-called "party" - these features were noticed not only by me. They were noted by every fan of Valery Alexandrovich's work. No, not praise or flattery. Just a fact. Perhaps this also affects the love from the public, which feels everything.

Valery Kipelov was born on July 12, 1958 in the Kapotnya district of Moscow. Graduated from music school. After the army, Valery Kipelov was first a member of the Six Young Ensemble, and then moved to the Singing Hearts. And from that moment begins the story of the legend. The director of the VIA "Singing Hearts" Viktor Vekshtein thought about organizing a group that would play in a more modern style. The freedom of creativity prompted the members of the ensemble Vladimir Kholstinin and Alik Granovsky to create a group that was supposed to perform heavy metal. Valery Kipelov joins them as a vocalist. So the group "Aria" was born.

Valery Kipelov wrote music himself, mainly for lyrical ballads: “Without You” (together with Bolshakov), “Dreams”, “Take My Heart” (together with Kholstitin, Mavrin and Dubinin), “Sunset”, “Everything that was". However, there were exceptions: “Dead Zone”, “Dirt” (together with Terentyev), “Follow Me”, “Chimera” (together with Kholstinin), “Road to Nowhere”, “The Beast” (together with Kholstinin and Dubinin ).
Starting from 1985 and ending today, favorite songs from the albums "Megalomania", "Hero of Asphalt", "Playing with Fire", "Blood for Blood", "Night is shorter than day" sound etc.

In 2001, after the release of the Chimera album, Valery Kipelov decides to start a solo career. The team was named after the name of the leader - "Kipelov". The structure included Sergey Terentyev, Alexander Manyakin, Sergey Mavrin, Alexey Kharkov. To date, the composition has changed slightly. Mavrin and Terentyev are not in the group. Vyacheslav Molchanov and Andrey Golovanov came.

I must say that with the creation of a new team, the number of fans did not decrease at all. There are more of them. Rock is still tearing apart concert halls, and Kipelov's voice fascinates and charges with its energy!
New albums are being released: "The Way Up", "Babylon", "Rivers of Time", "On the Edge", "Live in Contrary", etc.

The latter is dedicated to people who live in spite of lies and falsehood, stereotyped thinking and madness. The song itself « live in spite of » - one of my favorites. Each line from it makes you think both about the world around you and about your actions.

« live in spite of »

The work of Valery Kipelov attracts not only lovers of rock music. Everyone knows the composition "I'm free." Filled with philosophical reflections, revelation of the soul, the unified power of words, music and vocals, it resonates, it seems to me, with any listener.
Most recently, the competition “Voice. Children". I think that the performance of this song by Danil Pluzhnikov left no one indifferent. “I am free, like a bird in the sky…” - words that make you live and fight in spite of difficulties. Spirit triumphs over physical imperfection.

Danil Pluzhnikov, « I am free »

Valery Kipelov, « I am free »

Probably, the songs are filled with this fortitude is not accidental. They contain both mysticism and fabulousness, revelation and philosophy, and perhaps personal reflections and convictions. Like in the song « Prophet "(words by M. Pushkina, music - S. Mavrina):

Kipelov's work was also influenced by Christian views. In the last years of the musician's stay in the « Arias » he refused to perform the song "Antichrist" at concerts.

“I realized that few people caught the essence of this song (the complex relationship between Antichrist and Christ), and it remained in their heads:“ My name is Antichrist, my sign is the number 666. At concerts, people chanted this particular line, the dramaturgy of the text went unnoticed. And it became somehow unpleasant to sing ... well, relatively speaking, “darkness”. I don't want to flirt with such serious topics. That is, I do not refuse mysticism - it is characteristic of our genre - but I do not want to sing such lines in the first person.
1ROCK magazine, 2009

One of the last singles recorded by the Kipelov group was "Unconquered". It was written for the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

In an interview, Valery Kipelov said:

“You know, I am very worried and touched by the topic of the besieged Leningrad. I would like to dedicate a song to this topic.
I often hear that all this is our opportunistic considerations, that we want to please someone. They say that we are under the influence of propaganda ... Yes, what kind of propaganda if both of my grandfathers died! I know all this, it was all in my family, I feel it. I don't need to be campaigned. It is difficult for me to explain this to people who do not understand such things. I'm not going to do that.
I will say one thing: to remember the war is my duty. And it really is a part of my soul.”

I go both to the concerts of the current Aria and the Kipelov group. Both are loved. But to be frank, Kipelov's style of performance is closer...
After his concerts, you feel how a certain positive energy is born inside, which can move mountains. I don’t remember how I got acquainted with the work of Valery Kipelov and the Aria group. This happened during my school days. Actually, it's not that important. It is important that many people reflect their views in these songs. and feelings, disturbing their questions about injustice and struggle, spirituality and fall, love and loneliness. Perhaps the words and music of these songs make many people fight for their ideals and beliefs, as well as their own shortcomings.

The most famous Russian rock musician, singer and composer Valery Kipelov (full name Kipelov Valery Alexandrovich) was born in the capital of Russia, the city of Moscow. His date of birth is July 12, 1958 (07/12/1958). Co-founder and vocalist of the rock band Aria. For twelve years he has been leading his Kipelov group.

Valery Kipelov's father is Alexander Semyonovich, mother is Ekaterina Ivanovna.
As a child, Valery Kipelov learned to play the button accordion at a music school, and was also a member of the Peasant Children musical group. This group played music at various festive and solemn events, for example, at weddings.

After school, Valery Kipelov went to serve in the army. He served in the Urals, in the Strategic Missile Forces. But even in the army, Valery did not abandon music, he participated in amateur musical performances. After the army, Valery Kipelov became a member of the Six Young people group, through which both, and passed.

In 1980, the whole group became part of the vocal and instrumental ensemble "Leisya, song!". The team lasted until 1985.

Kipelov moved to the Singing Hearts group. Two members of the group, Alik Granovsky and Vladimir Kholstinin, decided to create their own project and perform "heavy metal". Valery Kipelov becomes their vocalist. This is how the famous musical rock band "Aria" appears. Kipelov wrote music for such now popular compositions of the Aria group as Take My Heart, Sunset, Dead Zone, Dirt and others.

In 1987, a split occurred in Aria. The group is led by Vekshtein, Kipelov and Kholstinin remained in the composition. The latter brought bass player Vitaly Dubinin, nicknamed "Oak", to Aria, who later became the author of most of the group's songs. In addition to him, the team included Maxim Udalov and Sergey Mavrin.
In the troubled year of 1994, Valery Kipelov had friction with Vladimir Kholstinin amid financial problems. So Aria had practically no tours (although this will seem strange, since Aria had a lot of fans at that time), Valery performed with the Master group, which Kholstinin took as leaving and began recording a disc with another musician, Alexey Bulgakov. Sergey Mavrin also leaves Aria.

Three years later (1997), Kipelov and Mavrin are recording their album Time of Troubles (10 tracks). A year later, the Mavrin group appears.
In 2001, Valery Kipelov began his solo career. The last time Kipelov sang along with Aria was on the last day of the summer of 2002.

And the next day

So, on September 1, 2002, a new musical group Kipelov appeared, which, in addition to Valery Kipelov himself, included Sergey Mavrin, Alexei Kharkov, Manyakin and Terentyev.

In 2005, the first album of the Kipelov group was released, which was called "Rivers of Times". By this time, Terentiev and Mavrin had already left the team. In the winter of 2011, the group presented their second album, Living in Contrary.

Valery Kipelov's wife's name is Galina Petrovna. They have children - Zhanna (works as a conductor) and Alexander, granddaughters Nastya and Sonya.

"Father of Rock" - the official title that Kipelov was awarded when he became the winner of the "RAMP" award in 2007 - was born on July 12, 1958 in the Moscow district of Kapotnya. The future legend of Russian heavy metal graduated from a music school in accordion class. Since childhood, he was fond of hard rock and football.

Kipelov began his concert activity in his youth. His first group was called "Peasant Children" - with them he performed mainly at weddings and other holidays. His musical career was not interrupted even in the army, where Kipelov served from 1978 to 1980 - first in a training company, and then in a communications company, with the rank of sergeant.

In show business, everyone knows each other, moreover, not a single dozen years. So Kipelov has known Nikolai Rastorguev, the current soloist of the Lyube group, almost since the end of his military service. In 1980, they were part of the Six Young Ensemble together. But Kipelov didn’t like it there - he was forced to jump around the stage, and any rocker doesn’t do it very well. But the musician, according to his own recollections, tried very hard. He even took lessons from a girl who performed in the same ensemble with a folk bias.

In September of the same year, together with the west ensemble, they transferred to the VIA "Leisya, song", but five years later the group was closed due to the fact that it did not pass the state program. Kipelov, together with Rastorguev, moved to the Singing Hearts VIA, where Nikolai Noskov, the future vocalist of Gorky Park, worked at the same time.

In "Singing Hearts" Kipelov met his like-minded people - Vladimir Kholstinin and Alik Granovsky. By the way, the head of the "hearts" was Viktor Vekshtein, he also became the producer of "Aria". The musicians assembled the composition of a heavy metal band. Noskov also auditioned for the role of vocalist, but the choice was made in favor of Valery Kipelov. The group maturing in the bowels of the Soviet stage was later called "Aria".

According to legend, Kipelov's audition was organized in the toilet of the Singing Hearts VIA base - there were good acoustics and the future idol of millions showed the entire range of his voice, - according to opera classification - altino. This is a very high voice at the junction of male and female, which is extremely rare. Kipelov said in an interview that Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden, Rob Halford from Judas Priest and Ozzy Osbourne from Black Sabbath influenced the formation of his vocal style.

Love for Western ideals resulted in recorded cover versions as part of the Back to the Future project, together with Aria guitarist Sergei Mavrin and keyboardist Gennady Matveev. A rare recording of a television performance has been preserved on the Internet, which included covers of songs by Slade and Creedence Clearwater Revival.

In 1994, the year the war in Chechnya began, the musicians of Aria found themselves practically penniless. During this period, Kipelov worked as a night watchman in a warehouse. At the same time, he performed several times with the Master group, mastering the club format of concerts. Vladimir Kholstinin regarded this practice of the frontman as leaving the group and invited Alexei Bulgakov from the Legion group to Kipelov's place. At the same time, Sergei Mavrin also leaves the main team. The group did not break up only thanks to the intervention of the record company Moroz Records, which demanded that Kipelov be returned to the group, while Mavrin finally left the band. But his friendship with Kipelov did not stop. In 1997, the musicians together recorded the album Time of Troubles. Unlike the sound of "Aria", it was softer, and the range of notes was more diverse. Fans remember this album with the ballad "I'm Free".

While working on the eighth album of the Aria group - Chimera, a creative crisis occurs. Kipelov announces that he wants to leave the group. He is supported by guitarist Sergei Terentiev, drummer Alexander Manyakin and the band's manager Rina Li. The last concert of the Aria group took place on August 31, 2002. After Kipelov repeatedly participated in the anniversary celebrations of the team, but was no longer part of its permanent composition. On September 1 of the same year, the creation of the Kipelov group was announced.

In 2011, at the Rock over the Volga festival, Kipelov delighted fans with a bright duet with another famous voice - Tarja Turunen, the vocalist of the Finnish band Nightwish.

How Kipelov will celebrate his anniversary is a big mystery. The musician is known as a supporter of a sober lifestyle. She lists orange juice and tea as her favorite drinks. It is also known that the famous healthy lifestyle at home is engaged in physical education to rock music. But it is possible that even on this day, fans will be able to get his autograph, because the musician, who collected huge stadiums, travels by public transport.

Perhaps Kipelov will spend this day with his family. Since 1978, he has been married to Galina Kipelova - the girl lived with him in the same village on the outskirts of Moscow. They have two daughters and two granddaughters.

Russian rock is impossible to imagine without one of its brightest representatives - Valery Kipelov. As the vocalist of the Aria group, he gained millions of fans and brought fame to the entire group with his original performance. It is thanks to the musician's charisma and deep lyrics that the Kipelov project, created in 2002, enjoys great popularity.

Valery was born in Moscow on July 12, 1958. The boy's childhood passed in the Kapotnya district, which was considered not the most prestigious in the capital. From a young age, Kipelov was fond of sports. At one time, his father loved to play football, so he dreamed of passing on his knowledge to his son and making him a real hockey player or football player.

As a child, Valery began to study music. However, this choice was made for him by his parents. They sent their son to a music school, where he learned to play the button accordion. Since the boy did not show due interest, they promised to give him a puppy. Gradually, Kipelov became interested in music and even learned to play the hits "Deep Purple" and "Creedence" on the button accordion.

Significant changes in the life of Kipelov brought 1972. The father asked Valery to sing at his sister's wedding together with the invited group "Peasant Children". The boy performed a couple of songs by the Pesnyary ensemble and the Creedence group. The musicians were surprised by the guy's abilities and invited him to become a member of the group. So, from the eighth grade, Valery began performing at family holidays and earning his first money.

After school, Valery studied at the College of Automation and Telemechanics. As the musician himself recalled, it was a great time of constant search for himself and an unforgettable first love, but in 1978 Kipelov was drafted into the army. Valery was sent to a sergeant's training company in the Yaroslavl region (the city of Pereslavl-Zalessky). Then Kipelov served in the missile forces near Nizhny Tagil. But even in the ranks of the Red Army, the guy did not forget about music. Together with the army ensemble, he visited many missile sites in the country, where he performed in front of soldiers, as well as at various celebrations in front of officers and ensigns.

Music

After returning from the army, Kipelov began to study music at a professional level. For some time he was a member of the Six Young Ensemble. Note that it also included, who later became the vocalist and leader of the Lyube group.

In September 1980, the entire team of the Six Young group moved to the ensemble Leisya, song. Several fruitful years ended with the breakup of the group in 1985. The guys could not pass the state program, and therefore were forced to stop their joint musical activities.

The next stage in Kipelov's career was participation in the Singing Hearts ensemble. But this group did not last long. Soon, several members of the band decided to create a new project in the hard and provocative heavy metal style at that time, and Kipelov was assigned the role of vocalist.

Aria Group

On the basis of the Singing Hearts, the Aria group was formed, which was greatly supported by Viktor Vekshtein. The popularity of the new team grew at an incredible pace. At the same time, it was Kipelov's original voice that largely determined the success of the guys. In addition, Valery was the author of music for several rock ballads.

In 1987, a split occurred between the members of the group, and only two musicians remained under the direction of producer Viktor Vekshtein: Vladimir Kholstinin and Valery Kipelov. Then Vitaly Dubinin, Maxim Udalov join them, and the team continues to work with a new line-up.

The rapid growth of the group's popularity was interrupted by the difficult years for the country and the population of the early 90s. People have ceased to be interested in heavy music and go to concerts of rock bands. "Aria" no longer performed, and in order to feed his family, Kipelov had to work as a watchman. At the same time, conflicts began to arise between members of the group.

Valery had to cooperate with other groups, for example, with the Master group. His colleague Kholstinin at that time was engaged in the sale of aquarium fish and took Kipelov's actions extremely negatively. That is why, when "Aria" recorded an album called "Night is shorter than a day", it was not Kipelov who performed the vocalist, but Alexei Bulgakov. Only a record company was able to return Valery to the group, threatening to break the contract.

After the return of Kipelov, the musicians presented three more joint albums. However, in 1997, the rocker recorded a new disc, Time of Troubles, with former Aria member Sergei Mavrin.

After the release of the Chimera album, a large tour and the Invasion festival, Kipelov decides to leave the band and create a solo project. He was supported by other members of the group: Sergey Terentiev (guitarist), Alexander Manyakin (drummer) and Rina Lee (group manager). At the end of August 2002, Valery's last performance with the Aria group took place.

Group "Kipelov"

The new musical project "Kipelov" was created in early September 2002. Almost immediately after this, a big tour "The Way Up" followed. Active and fruitful work gave its results. The popularity of the talented musician grew rapidly. It is not surprising that in 2004 Valery's project was recognized as the best rock band (MTV Russia award).

The following year brought the famous musician the first solo album - Rivers of Time. Two years later, Valery Alexandrovich Kipelov received the RAMP award (nomination "Fathers of Rock"). In addition, he began to appear regularly at anniversary performances of groups of which he had previously been a member. For example, in 2007, the rocker participated in a concert of the previously known group "Master".

Valery Kipelov had been friends with Edmund Shklyarsky (the leader of the Picnic group) for many years. In 2003, Valery participated in the presentation of a new project of this group called "Pentacle". Four years later, their common performance of the popular song "Purple-Black" captivated the fans of two bands at once.

In 2008, Kipelov, together with other musicians of the Aria group, gave two big concerts. This is how the musicians celebrated the 20th anniversary of their legendary album Hero of Asphalt. In addition, Valery performed at a concert dedicated to the tenth anniversary of the existence of the Sergey Mavrin group.

2010 again brought several anniversary performances for the Aria group. Then the team celebrated the 25th anniversary of its activity. In addition, in 2011, Valery Alexandrovich's discography was replenished with the album "Live in spite of".

2012 marked the tenth anniversary of the Kipelov project, which was marked by a spectacular and memorable concert. Subsequently, it was recognized as the best concert of the year (according to the results of the "Chart Dozen").

After that, a new rocker single called "Reflection" was presented. The best songs included in this disc were: “I am free”, “Aria Nadir”, “Dead Zone”, etc. Two years later, the single “Unbowed” was released, which the musician dedicated to the fearless.

In 2015, the 30th anniversary of Aria was celebrated. Of course, the group's concert could not take place without its leader - Valery Kipelov. The following compositions sounded from the stage of the Stadium Live club: Rose Street, Follow Me, Ice Shard, Dirt, etc.

In 2016, a very unusual, but very touching performance of the famous musician took place. At the festival "Invasion" Valery performed the song "I am free" together with -. At the same time, at the rehearsal, the rock musician was so shocked by the boy's abilities that he invited him to additionally perform the song "Lizaveta". Later, the rocker said that he plans to continue working with the young performer.

Despite his advanced age, Valery continues to tour and create new compositions. Today, active work is underway on recording a new album, so the musicians of the Kipelov project spend a lot of time in the recording studio. Fans of the legendary rocker are constantly following the photo reports from Mosfilm, where a new album is being created. For 2017, the musician has planned a tour of several Russian cities, so lovers of good music will be able to enjoy an excellent live performance.

Personal life

The famous rocker understood the importance of a strong and happy family in his youth. In 1978, Valery Kipelov married a girl from his area - Galina. A spectacular tall guy easily conquered the beauty with his sincerity and talent.

Together with his wife, Valery raised two children: daughter Zhanna (b. 1980) and son Alexander (b. 1989). In addition, today they have two granddaughters: Anastasia (born in 2001) and Sonya (born in 2009). Kipelov's children also chose a musical career. Zhanna became a conductor, and Sasha graduated from the famous Gnessin School (cello class).

The musician finds time for several hobbies. He is interested in motorcycles, billiards and, of course, football. Valery even participated in the creation of the anthem of the Moscow football club Spartak. In his spare time, the rocker likes to read the works of such writers as.

In addition, Valery's leisure time is hard to imagine without songs and legendary rock bands: Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Slade. Nevertheless, once Kipelov admitted that he was not opposed to listening to the compositions of modern musical groups: Nickelback, Muse, Evanescence, etc.
