Alexey Dolmatov, aka rapper Guf. Alexey Dolmatov (Guf) - biography of rap artist

Guf (real name Alexey Sergeevich Dolmatov) is a Russian rap artist, co-founder and member of the group “CENTR”. At the beginning of the 21st century, the rapper gained widespread popularity and also received MTV Russia Music Awards and the Rock Alternative Music Prize. On the path to fame, the rapper overcame many obstacles, from stuttering to drug addiction.

Childhood

Alexey was born on September 23, 1979 in one of the central districts of Moscow - Zamoskvorechye, which will repeatedly appear in his work.

When Guf was three years old, his father left the family. However, the mother remarried, and the stepfather became the boy’s second dad.

Parents were forced to go on frequent business trips, and at some point settled in China, which adversely affected Alexei. At school, he skipped classes for semesters, and already in the 5th grade the boy began to have problems with drugs. Although, according to Guf, he first tried marijuana at the age of 7.

The closest person to the rapper was his grandmother, the late Tamara Konstantinovna, who raised Alexey until he was 12 years old. Afterwards, the rapper will dedicate a number of compositions to her, including “Gossip” and “Original Ba”.

Alexey's interest in rap awoke when he was in fourth grade. The boy voraciously listened to tapes of the American rapper MC Hammer, which were difficult to obtain even during the era of Perestroika.

Life in China. Drugs

When the grandmother became aware of her grandson’s love for soft drugs and his absence from school, she insisted that the parents take the guy to China.

From the age of 12, Alexey lived with his parents in China, where he first went to a local school, and later entered the Shenyang Institute of Foreign Languages. He left Russia with zero knowledge of Chinese, and already in a new place he learned the language with the help of Russian-speaking tutors from among the students. With their help, he found out how to get prohibited substances in China, and his family’s hopes that Alexey would “cleanse himself” in a foreign country failed.

In 1995, Guf’s grandmother visited him in China and brought him hip-hop discs and cassettes, which were not available in the communist state. At this time, Alexey wrote his first poems and songs, but his plans were to open a business in China.

However, everything began to fall apart when, during a vacation in Moscow, he tried heroin. Guf’s addiction rapidly began to develop, and he began injecting the drug into a vein. Several times his life hung by a thread. Thus, Alexey recalled how he almost died once, having spent two hours in a heroin coma, while his grandmother sat in the next room and watched TV, not even suspecting what was happening to her grandson.

Returning to China, Alexey continued to kill the body with heroin. Moreover, he contacted drug dealers, with the help of whom he began selling weed in his hostel. Soon all the students knew which room to knock on in search of a buzz. At the same time, this could not hide from the hostel administration. Alexey was suspected of drug trafficking, for which in China he could face severe punishment, including the death penalty by firing squad. The young man was forced to literally flee the country in 1998.

Thus, his experience of life in China totals 7 difficult and definitely eventful years. When asked if he regrets that this happened, Guf replies that he himself, despite his business ambitions, was tired of living in a country with a foreign culture. However, references to this experience sometimes appear in Dolmatov’s work.

Return to Russia

Returning home to his beloved grandmother’s apartment in Zamoskvorechye, Alexey entered the Faculty of Economics. But his passion for music turned out to be stronger, and with his university friend Roman Guf he formed the group “Rolexx”. Roman did the arrangements, Alexey did the rest.

The rapper’s first track was released at the age of 19 and was called “The Wall of China”; it touched on the problem of drug addiction. Drugs remained Alexey’s constant companion, and in 2000 they brought new serious problems - Guf was stopped by the police near the Kievsky railway station. Having found a large amount of marijuana on him, the rapper was sent to Butyrka.

To transfer Alexey to the so-called VIP cell, his father had to pay more than $20,000. Five months later, as a result of an amnesty by order of Vladimir Putin, Dolmatov was released, but the Rolexx project in its original form ceased to exist, although for some time Alexey used the pseudonym Guf aka Rolexx.

Guf – Chinese Wall

Unfortunately, Guf’s prison experience was not limited to this. Much later, in 2015, he was sent to a pre-trial detention center for 6 days for drug use. “It was built specifically so that a person could feel the full weight of what he had done: a wooden bed, a hole in the floor,” he was indignant at the conditions of detention.

Center

In 2003, Guf, together with his friend Nikolai Nikulin, known as the rapper Princip, organized the group “CENTR” and released the first demo album “Gift”, the circulation of which was only 13 copies.

“Center” was born as a duet between Guf and Princip, but very soon Nikolai, who had never been known for being law-abiding, was thrown into prison (once released, he would record joint tracks with “Center” more than once).

Later, Alexey’s longtime acquaintance Vadim Motylev, who releases songs under the pseudonym Slim, joined the project. The rappers released the tracks “Wedding” and “Leader,” which aroused great interest among the public, who were yearning for high-quality rap and hip-hop.

By the end of the year, there were already four members of the group: Guf and Slim were joined by rapper Ptah, who had previously been a member of the creative association “Smoke Screen”. Together they recorded two compositions for the Russian film “HEAT” in 2006, where Alexey Chadov and Timati played.

The group was gaining popularity, but Guf continued to engage in solo work, recording songs with rapper Basta and Smokey Mo. In 2007, Alexey released his solo album “City of Roads,” which received a positive review from Rolling Stone magazine.

Conflict with Bird

Despite the growing popularity of the Center, in 2009 the relationship between Guf and Ptah began to deteriorate. Mutual reproaches arise. Dolmatov accuses his colleague of being negligent in his creative duties, while he himself often disrupts the work of the team, for example, by being late or not showing up at all for the shooting of videos.

On June 6, 2009, the group gave a concert in Lugansk. What happened behind the scenes is unknown, but this became the starting point of the conflict. Insiders claimed that Guf saw Ptah chatting with Guf’s wife, Aiza Dolmatova, but there was no confirmation of this information. Guf gave an interview in which he announced that he was leaving the CENTR group. “The two participants probably didn’t have enough attention, the public,” Alexey succinctly commented on what happened. He later alluded to his former colleagues in the song "100 Lines", calling them "two crows, taking turns pecking at the head."

Ptah and Slim commented on Guf’s departure only in 2012. Ptah mentioned that listeners perceived Guf as the leader of the group, although other members did not agree with this. Slim adhered to the same version, saying that Guf was not satisfied with the relationships within the team, and at the same time he understood that outside the “Center” he would be no less in demand. At the same time, both emphasized that the reason for Guf’s departure lies precisely in the events that occurred on June 6.

In 2014, former friends attempted to reunite. At first glance it turned out well. After several videos and a big tour with new songs, the guys released the album “System”. But a black cat ran between them again. Guf doesn’t like that he was given only 15 months to write the verses, and in the end his lines weren’t as good as they could have been. Relations between Guf and Ptah begin to heat up; in interviews they constantly make fun of each other.

Centr – Turns

In 2017, Guf became one of the first episodes of Yuri Dud’s show and during an interview he said that he couldn’t bear to be near Ptah. Although Dolmatov did not stoop to direct insults, Ptakha soon gave a detailed interview to the Ren-TV channel, in which he called Guf a two-faced and notorious gigolo, hungry for profit. “We didn’t get along because I have a lot of friends, but he doesn’t have any,” Ptah was indignant.

After a short spat on social networks, Ptah challenged Guf to a Versus battle. Guf agreed with one condition - if the organizer of "Versus" Restaurateur pays him 2 million rubles. The event took place on February 6, 2018. Guf won with a score of 3:0. At this point, the conflict between the rappers slowed down.

Solo career

After leaving Center in 2009, Dolmatov created his own label, ZM Nation, within which he began working on a new album, which was ready by the end of the year.

Soon, the portal “Rep.ru” recognized Guf as the best Russian performer at the end of the year. The “Home” album also received prizes in the “Best Album” and “Best Video” nominations.

In 2010, he began work on the joint album “Basta/Guf”, which ended with the release of a record that included the hit “My Game”, and a long joint tour. Guf met Basta back in 2000, when he performed under the pseudonym Basta Oink as part of the future “Casta”. Vakulenko invited Dolmatov to his Gazgolder label.

Guf ft. Basta - Guf Died

In the same year, Guf was recognized as artist of the year according to the Russian Street Awards. Just a year later, he also received the MUZ-TV award in the “Best Hip-Hop Project” category.

At the beginning of 2012, in a series of concerts and performances, Guf began work on his third studio album, and already in November the tracks were available for download.

In 2011, Guf received the MUZ-TV award in the category “Best Hip-Hop Project”

In 2013, the cooperation between Guf and Basta ceased. Most likely, the reason for this was the breakdowns of Alexey, who could not get rid of drug addiction. In 2017, years later, he accused Basta of not helping when Dolmatov “injected five grams of Hera a day for six months.” Basta responded to these accusations with a long message, accusing Alexei of lying.

In 2015, after a long break caused by treatment in a drug addiction clinic, in 2015 Alexey released a new solo album, “More,” which, however, did not return him to his former popularity. In 2017, Guf and Slim released two parts of the joint album “GuSli”.

When Guf starred in an advertisement for the Azino casino in 2018, he was subjected to a barrage of ridicule. The fact is that before him, the half-forgotten rapper Vitya AK starred in an advertisement for the same casino, and this advertisement breathed new life into his fading career. The same thing happened with the Ural rap group Triagrutrika. “Advertising Azino is a salvation for rappers who are losing popularity,” they quipped on social networks, complaining about what Guf has come to.

In November 2018, Guf publicly reconciled with Basta and hinted that he would not mind delighting listeners with new joint material.

Guf's personal life

In the summer of 2008, Guf married his longtime girlfriend Aiza Vagapova (later Dolmatova), to whom he dedicated an impressive part of his early work.

In May 2010, the couple had a son, who was named with the unusual oriental name Sami, or Sam.

The relationship between the spouses always resembled a powder keg: they often quarreled, made up, and quarreled again. But in 2013 they separated completely: first they stopped living together, then they filed for divorce. The reason was Guf's drug addiction. After the wedding, he gave up drugs for the sake of the woman he loved, but over the years he returned to the addiction. Isa saved him, but in the end she gave up and decided that it would be better for her son and for herself.

Guf later admitted in an interview that he cheated on Aiza, even at the time of her pregnancy. After the separation, Isa married businessman Dmitry Anokhin, with whom Dolmatov has a difficult relationship. In 2017, Isa, tired of her ex’s jokes, released a diss track on Guf “Guf RIP”, in which she called Dolmatov a loser and wished him to inject him with a rusty needle. “According to his passport, Gufu is 38 years old, but in reality he is 14,” says Aiza. It’s difficult to say whether she thus put an end to this story - in 2017, Guf asked her to return, publishing a post on Twitter with the words: “I love Aiza. Eyes. Come back a."

Aiza - diss on Guf

In January 2017, Guf was caught having an affair with the married soloist of “A-Studio” Keti Topuria. Not very high-quality photographs from Samui appeared online, in which vigilant Internet users recognized Keti and Guf. Both persons involved in the brewing scandal disowned it; Guf admitted that he was friends with Keti, but nothing more. There was a lull, but soon the media reported about Topuria’s divorce from her husband after four years of marriage and connected this with photos with Guf leaked online. A few days before the news of the divorce, Guf left his girlfriend, the spectacular, tattooed Lesya Fak, whom he had been dating since 2014.

After this, Guf and Keti stopped hiding their relationship. They posted tender photographs together, met each other’s parents, but the idyll came to an end when an 18-year-old native of Yekaterinburg said that she slept with Guf and had an abortion from him. Katie could not forgive the betrayal and, although she continued to love Alexei, the relationship came to an end.

After the breakup, Guf congratulated Katie by publishing a post on Instagram: “Kat!!! I can't tag you because I'm blocked. Happy birthday! Thank you! I loved you very much!”

During the battle with Guf, Ptah blurted out that Dolmatov had an eldest son, born out of wedlock.

Guf now

In September 2019, Guf found himself at the epicenter of a scandal. On September 7, the day before the elections to the Moscow Duma, his video “Moscow” together with Timati appeared on YouTube. His clearly paid-for character did not escape his listeners. The lines “I’ll slap a burger for Sobyanin’s health” and “I don’t go to rallies - I don’t rub game” caused particular indignation. Against the background of the aggravated internal political situation, the video collected more than a million dislikes, breaking the anti-record on the Russian-language segment of YouTube.

Guf makes excuses for the “Moscow” video

The clip has been deleted. Guf recorded a video with excuses, saying that he did not know that he would be “set up like that” because he does not follow politics and had no idea that elections were coming. But his statement was laughed at.

After the collapse of the great country, the parents of the future rapper decided to move to China, and the young man completed his school program in a foreign country. There in China he received his higher education, majoring in linguistics.

At what age did Guf start playing music? Despite the fact that music attracted Alexei Dolmatov from an early age, he began to study it seriously at the age of 19. But after a short period of working on himself as a musician, the young man completely immerses himself in his studies. But a number of publications claim that the future rap artist had problems with drugs at that time. However, Guf himself confirms these rumors, once declaring that he took almost everything out of the house to buy himself a new dose. The addiction was overcome thanks to a new period of passion for rap music.

In 2000, a young rap artist as part of a team called Rolexx made his debut on stage. It is concerts in the group that bring the musician his first popularity. Guf decides to use the name of the group in his stage name. Over the next five years, all music albums are released under the authorship of Guf aka Rolexx.

In 2002, Alexey Dolmatov begins working on a solo album. At the same time, together with rap artist Slim, he recorded a song called “Wedding”. This is where the long journey of the two musicians began.

Guf and the Centr group

In 2004, Alexey Dolmatov and rap artist Princip formed the idea of creating a new musical group, which soon received the name Centr. The first album of the new musical group, “Gifts,” was recorded on only 13 discs, which were presented to the musicians’ friends for the New Year.

2006 was a turning point in Guf’s life. It was then that a work called “Gossip” was released, which gained popularity not only among connoisseurs of the rap scene, but also among ordinary people. Moreover, the song was played for a long time in Russian discos. In the same year, the REN-TV channel began playing Guf’s next video, for the song “New Year’s”, and the entire Russian rap community enjoyed the next hit of the young musician, “My Game”. After 2006, people started talking about Alexei Dolmatov throughout the country.

In the fall of next year, the Centr group is recording another musical collection, “Swing”. The team's composition increased to four members, and its fame skyrocketed. But life is such that at the peak of fame, many famous musical groups broke up. Princip comes to the attention of the Russian police, and Guf is increasingly pursuing a solo career.

In 2009, Dolmatov decides to leave the group completely, but for what reason he did this, no one knows. Fans felt that the rapper was unable to continue working in the oppressive atmosphere.

Guf and solo career

Two years before leaving the Centr group, Guf recorded his first solo studio album, “City of Roads.” Later, the musician, in collaboration with rap artist Basta, records several tracks. In 2009, Guf’s second solo album, entitled “At Home,” was released. The music collection received the best reviews from critics and fans and was nominated for the titles “Best Video” and “Best Album”.

The following year, the musical composition “Ice Baby” was born, which immediately became popular in Russia. In 2010, Guf decides to start collaborating with Basta again. Together they release a music collection. In 2011, the MUZ-TV channel awarded young people with the title “Best Project of the Year.”

At the end of autumn 2012, fans of Guf’s work will be happy to learn about the release of his next solo album, entitled “Sam and...”. In the same year, the musician was expelled from the Gas Holder project, and Basta stated that Dolmatov was invited to a short-term collaboration.

At the end of April 2013, on the unofficial day of marijuana use, Guf published a music collection called “420”. The album was recorded together with rap artist Rigos. At the end of October of the same year, Alexey Dolmatov recorded a music video for the song “Sad”. In this work, the singer says that it was he who caused the collapse of the Centr team, blaming himself for stardom and the love of money.

In 2014, Guf participated in collaboration with the group “Caspian Cargo” on the musical work “Winter”. This project also featured rap artist Slim. A little later, Guf announced a possible joint concert. At the same time, the famous rapper took part in the filming of the film “Gas Holder”. A year later, Alexey Dolmatov’s next solo album, “More,” saw the light of day.

Guf personal life

Guf and Isa

For a long time, Alexey Dolmatov dated a girl named Aiza Vagapova. And in 2008, the couple in love decides to get married. The singer spoke in many works about his love for his wife. Two years later, the first-born son Sami was born into the Dolmatov family. For five years, the married couple was happy, but in 2013, a rumor spread in the media about Guf’s future divorce from his wife. The Dolmatovs initially denied rumors that this happened, but soon they broke up. The couple's divorce turned into a real show, in which the ex-spouses accused each other of all mortal sins by publishing posts on social networks.

Guf and Katie Topuria

In 2016, journalists started talking about the rapper’s new hobby. In the media, singer Katie Topuria was called the singer’s new girlfriend. And the rumors were justified, because the young people spent the Christmas holidays together on the island of Koh Samui. At the official level, the lovers did not confirm their romantic relationship, declaring friendly relations. At the end of December of the same year, the studio single “About Summer” was recorded, which became the singer’s first work after treatment for drug addiction in an Israeli clinic. In the same year, Guf returned to the Centr group and, together with his colleagues, recorded a studio album called “System”. A little later the single “Far” appears.

In 2017, Guf received an invitation to star in the film “Egor Shilov”, where he was to play one of the main roles.

Goof Mowgli 2

Guf and Ptah battle versus

He initiated the verbal duel, declaring that there were too many reasons for the conflict, but the last straw was the text voiced by Guf in one of the clips. He decided to organize a rap duel, but Dolmatov said that he was ready to agree to the duel only after he was paid two million rubles. And the organizer of the fight agreed to this condition. Initially, the rap battle was scheduled for January 2018, but later, for reasons unknown to everyone, it was postponed to February of the same year.

Bird challenged Guf to a battle

Wikipedia talks about some aspects of the biography and creativity of the re-performer, and he also has an official account on Instagram and VK, where you can find out the latest news about Alexey’s life.

Guf or Guf, one of the most extraordinary and famous Russian rappers with a rather complicated biography, was born on September 23, 1979 in one of the capital’s maternity hospitals.

Childhood

Alexei Dolmatov’s mother (the artist’s real name) broke up with his biological father, who was born and subsequently lived in Rostov-on-Don, even before the birth of his son. In fact, the boy learned about his very existence already in adolescence, during one of the serious scandals with his adoptive father about his behavior.

Lesha spent his early childhood in Moscow, mainly under the supervision of his grandmother, since his parents worked a lot and had almost no opportunity to raise their son. His grandmother doted on him, and the boy often abused this, skipping school and spending most of his time with friends in the yard.

In high school, a surprise awaited him. The parents were assigned to China and soon took their son with them. There he spent a total of about 7 years. I graduated from school, managed to master Chinese quite well, and even entered a local university. But it was there that he tried drugs for the first time and quickly became addicted to them.

According to strict Chinese laws, for the use and, especially, distribution of drugs, it was easy not only to go to prison, but also to literally lose your life - some of the articles provide for the death penalty. Tired of fighting their son’s addiction and fearing for his future, his parents send him back to Moscow.

Career

Who knows how long Guf would have lasted in a drug haze if he had not become seriously interested in music. He tried writing rap as a teenager. Returning from China, he decided to record his first composition, “The Wall of China,” which somehow ended up in rotation on several Moscow radio stations and brought him fame in the capital.

Inspired by his first success, Alexey creates the duet Rollexx with his friend Roman and begins performing wherever possible. The guys are gradually gaining fame, their fees begin to grow steadily and they often become guests of large Moscow parties. The first success really turned their heads.

But here, against the backdrop of star fever that has overcome the guys, a destructive passion flares up with renewed vigor. And since in Moscow it is easy to get any drugs, and not just the light ones that Lesha dabbled in in China, for two long years he is completely immersed in a narcotic dope, taking away a fair amount of health and more than one year of life from his beloved grandmother.

Only in 2002 did he realize that all his dreams were rapidly going downhill and tried to quit. He begins to compose again and decides to create a solo album, in which the pseudonym Guf has already been used. But while the work was going on, he met other talented guys, and they tried to perform together.

In 2004, together with Princip, Guf opened a new project “Center”. He records several discs with his own money, copies of which were given to close friends at a New Year's party.

The discs are starting to be circulated, and guys are being invited to perform in prestigious clubs. A little later, two more members joined the group: Ptah and Slim’s, and with this composition the group even began to tour successfully. It would seem that everything is working out perfectly...

But now the problems with the law begin for the Principle. However, all members of the group continue to indulge in drugs, which periodically becomes the cause of scandals and even disruptions of some performances. Guf again begins to think about a solo project, and in 2009 he finally leaves the group.

In 2010 he presented his solo project ZM Nation. The debut album immediately soared to the top of the charts, but stayed there for only a few months. However, Guf was not too upset by this, since a new project was already being prepared for release.

Today he is one of the most popular rap and hip-hop artists, having released 10 solo albums and taken an active part in recording almost fifty more with other artists in these areas.

Personal life

Gufu was finally helped to give up drugs by his long-time love Aiza Vagapova, who set a categorical condition - it was her or “dope.” For the sake of his beloved, Guf went through severe withdrawal and began a solo career. In 2008, she finally officially became his wife, and a year later the couple had an heir - little “Gufik,” as they jokingly call him.

With Aiza Vagapova

Until 2013, they were considered an ideal rapper couple, which is very rare. But later serious scandals began in the family, and their reason was that Guf began to use drugs again. However, there are other rumors that each of the spouses has new lovers. But the matter has not yet come to an official divorce.

Guf is a favorite performer of many fans of Russian rap, regardless of gender, age category and social status. His tracks can be heard almost everywhere. The rapper managed to make millions of listeners fall in love with his work in a short time.

Surely many of his fans are interested in where Guf lives? Of course, like any other famous performer, he will not tell fans his exact place of residence. Still, there is some information about the place where the artist lives. After all, during his 36 years, the rapper had to move from place to place more than once.

Alexey was born in Moscow, where he lived with his parents before traveling to China. In the early 90s, he had to move from Russia at the behest of his parents, who wanted to provide their son with a decent education. The future artist lived in China throughout his youth. In numerous interviews, the rapper says that these were the best years of his life.

The return to his homeland was unplanned: Chinese legislation was harsh on his tricks with various kinds of illegal substances, so Guf was hastily taken out of the country. Alexey returned to Russia in 1998, having been in the “Land of the Rising Sun” for about 7 years. Guf himself says that he is tired of living in China, a country full of contradictions.

Return

After returning to Moscow, Guf lived with his grandmother, Tamara Konstantinovna, in an apartment on Zamoskvorechye. During these years, the future artist continues to be interested in hip-hop and meets the future stars of the Russian rap scene.

House in Zamoskvorechye where Guf lived with his grandmother

Dolmatov’s creative career began in 2000-2003. In those years, the Rolex-x group appeared, which included Alexey. Later in 2004, the cult group “Centr” was organized, in which Guf was a member until 2009. Due to disagreements among the team members, Alexey leaves Centr. After a long period of work on solo work, in 2014 Guf returned to the group.

Wedding and moving to a new apartment

In 2008, Alexey married Aiza Vagapova. Not long after the wedding, the couple continued to live with Gufa’s grandmother, after which they rented an apartment in the center of Moscow. In 2010, the couple had a son, Sami.

During family life in a rented apartment, the rapper and his chosen one did not spread news about her exact address and rental price.
Later, Alexey buys a plot with a two-story house in the Moscow region.

The artist's first personal home

In 2013, during a short break in their relationship, Isa and her son moved into a new rented apartment. Guf begins a fleeting romance with Lera Kondra, a Russian singer and TV presenter. The couple's life together takes place in the artist's country house.

In 2014, Isa and Guf decide to resume family relationships and start life over with a new leaf. For a radical change of scenery, the couple rent a new house in the Moscow region.

While building relationships, Isa and Alexey open a family business - a barbershop and tattoo salon “GuFactory” in Moscow. At the opening of the salon, the couple look like a very happy couple.

Interior elements of a new house

But this time, after a short time together and despite all efforts, the stars are unable to “settle down” their feelings for each other. In 2014, the spouses finalized and documented their divorce.

Our days

Today, the rapper continues to engage in solo work and work as part of the “Centr” group, delighting fans with new material. He found himself a girlfriend, a certain Lesya Fak, with whom he spends his free time. The star complains about quarrels with his ex-wife, who allegedly does not allow him to see their common son Sami.

From the beginning of the relationship to this day, the rapper and his lover live in his first country house.

Recently, the artist has again started having problems with the law due to drugs. In September 2015, Guf and Slim were detained in Krasnoyarsk on suspicion of drug use and spent a little less than a week in jail.

Guf - biography of Alexei Dolmatov

Guf began to appear more and more often on the pages of magazines, on music channels, on news portals on the Internet and, most importantly, in your columns.

Guf recently released his second solo album at Home. Let us remind you that Alexey recorded his first album City of Roads while still a member of the Centr group. All fans of Guf and hip-hop in general were waiting for Dom’s album. From the very first days of sales, the album was sold out of store shelves, and the number of downloads from the network exceeded all expectations.

Guf himself did not expect such popularity; he spoke about this several times in his interviews. He suddenly began to be invited to fashion publications to interview him, and his fans and journalists began to really hunt for him. Due to the abundance of fake Guf VKontakte groups, Alexey had to open his own official VKontakte group.

“I refused to do more than two concerts a week. They offered me, but I refused, because if I have three concerts a week, then I don’t understand anything well.”

The beginning of Guf’s career can be called the track “Chinese Wall,” which he wrote while in China in the late 90s. But due to problems with drugs, Alexey was unable to continue his career. Later, already in the early 2000s, Guf and Princip recorded the first album of the Center group - Gift. The circulation of the album Gift was crazy - 13 copies, only for those closest to you.

Real fame came to Guf later, when the albums of the group Center with Slim and Ptah were released: Swing (2007) and Air in the room (2008).

Since 2009, Guf leaves the Center group and begins a solo career under the GUF brand.

Guf gave up hard drugs and married Aiza. It was Aiza that became the reason for Guf’s refusal from hard drugs, which he himself sang about in his songs.
