What will be fashionable after cloud rap. Cloud Rap and Its Main Representatives (2016)

I’ve been in this subculture for about six months, it all started with getting to know the music and videos. Before I found out about Sad Boys, I listened to a lot of things, from Noize MC to Nirvana, but I think it was in the cloud rap cell that I found my music. If we talk about cloud rap itself, for me it is, first of all, cool clips from Yung Lean, Bones, Pharaoh, Tag Shai. I respect the Sad Boys, they cool guys I dream of seeing them live.

The difference between sadboys and the average
human is the desire to be sad.

Joining the culture, I began to borrow images from Yung Lean, tried to dress the same way, to fit in. Sadboys dress in the fashion of such brands as Tommy Hilfiger, Palace, Supreme, Adidas, Nike and Gosha Rubchinsky, but for me, the money spent on luxury brands is money down the drain. I try to just look for similar things and buy them, sometimes Aliexpress helps out. Unfortunately, my attitude to this is not always shared by my family and friends, who do not understand why I bought a Panama hat for 400 rubles and think that it is very stupid.

I don't make long-term plans for the future as long as I train in CS:GO and enjoy life. In the future, I want to become a successful eSports player or programmer and attend Yung Lean’s concert.

Dmitry, 17 years old, Magadan

I've been listening to cloud rap for two years now. Although these are calm songs, the lyrics often talk about sexual relationships, expensive cars, smoking weed and spending money. However, this music is close to me not for its lyrics, but for the presentation itself.

Everything about clothes is incredibly simple: black top, black bottom. These can be robes, jeans, T-shirts and T-shirts in dark colors. Personally, I prefer to dress in the BlackStore online store. In general, if we talk about sadboy style, everything is based not only on clothes, this also includes tattoos - gloomy colors in the form of ravens, graves, and crosses are especially relevant.

Now I like to work with music, I make my own music project, and in the future, perhaps, I’ll do cloud rap.

Vlad, Rostov-on-Don

For me, cloud rap is not so much a subculture as a lifestyle. Many people condemn this music for its slowness and emptiness, but in it you can find something unknown, something that is very difficult to feel. I use Bones, Young Lean and Suicideboys as the basis for my cloud. If we talk about domestic representatives of the genre, it is worth noting Pharaoh and the entire Dead Dynasty, as well as Krestall and Sabbat.

It’s difficult to say anything definite about clothing; often these are black looks with Panama hats, pants (torn or not), and sweatshirts. There are no clear rules in this area, so it is quite difficult to determine what is suitable and what is not. I can only say that skate clothing fits well.

I myself wear black pants, Vans, a parka, a black sweatshirt and a Panama hat or cap. I buy everything from Creative Space, Vans, Bershka, Swag Store.

At the moment I am doing music, and in the future I want to become a family man, earn money that I could spend on my family.

Evgeniy, 16 years old, Ekaterinburg

Cloud rap is a non-standard rap, but at the same time it maintains the rules of rhyme. The themes of the songs are also non-standard; Let's say that singing about love in this genre is not entirely appropriate. This style of music is usually relaxing and calming; You may not understand what is being sung about, but still enjoy it. I've been familiar with this movement for about a year, before that I listened to regular rap. And what, in my opinion, has nothing to do with cloud is clothing. In my opinion, this is a different, separate subculture. I remain loyal to Vans sneakers.

IN free time I play games, and in the near future I want to buy myself normal clothes.

Maxim, 17 years old,Severodvinsk

I became acquainted with cloud rap in the spring of 2015, listening to a couple of Yung Lean’s songs. Later I started liking other performers, Bones, for example. I recently started listening to Suicideboys and really liked them.

Before cloud rap, I listened to rock music, especially rock with female vocals.

I'm not trying to imitate the style, since I'm just a music connoisseur, but I wouldn't mind a Panama hat with hieroglyphs, it looks great.

Danir, 17 years old, Ufa

For me, it all started with listening to a friend’s audio recordings, where I came across Yung Lean, Bones and Suicideboys. I was inspired by their songs with all my soul, began to watch videos, read biographies. I also like sadboy associations because they go beyond musical culture, cover a much larger area than it seems at first glance.

If we talk about clothes, then these are monotonous black things: panama hats, T-shirts, caps and so on.

With the arrival of Cloud in my life, I became a more reserved person. Some friends stopped communicating with me, arguing that I was not the same as before.

There are no problems with this in my family, and my relatives do not object to my hobbies. In my free time I sit at computer games, listening to music. Sometimes I go out for a walk... alone.

Yung Lean | SAD BOYS

Cloud rap in Russia began to gain popularity after the release of numerous tapes and dark VHS clips from the American rapper Bones in 2013. The main force of cloud in Russia came in 2014, when the Kyoto video was released, which was shot by the plump Swedish teenager Yung Lean with his friends (Sad Boys Ent.).

Inspired by works foreign performers, musical parties began to appear in the CIS: HENTAIBOYS, FrozenGangBeatz, VELIAL SQUAD, HAUNTED FAMILY, Dead Dynasty.

Cloud rap is when teenagers create a lyrical image for themselves in some tracks flex-up-hasler-boy in, and in others they read about unrequited love and the desire to open up in the club.

The main audience of these performers are teenagers just like the musicians themselves. Some listen to Cloud because they want to stand out among their peers, others are simply bored old music and they are looking for something new, original.

Most cloud artists try to present their sound as original as possible. That's why characteristic feature Cloud rap is a kind of fetishism in relation to various attributes (tea, fruit juice, masks covering the face). Some promote the aesthetics of the East by using hieroglyphs in track titles, insert excerpts from anime into tracks, others use cyberpunk images in their videos.

In 2015, Pharaoh and YungRussia blew up the RuNet. But can they be called cloud? I would call it punk rap. Their sound has long evolved, but cloud rap, which is described on the wiki and various media outlets, remained in 2013-14.

Many people have already complained about 2011 - they say, good albums there are few blockbusters, even fewer blockbusters, and there are only two or three of those that I would like to listen to later.

In my opinion, the results of the year are much more optimistic - and at the same time much less tied to albums, blockbusters and numbers.

Talk about what music industry dies, and the artist is not fed by a contract with a major, but the speed of reaction, likes and retweets, did not start yesterday or the day before yesterday. 2007, Radiohead, incessant requiems for physical media - remember that? And 2011 should be remembered not for the funny cover of the good record "Take Care", not for Wizzy's leopard-print leggings, and not even for the session of sawing up a Maybach with a chainsaw. This is the time when new schemes began to work in full force, and artists finally understood what to do with them.

It all started last year with Odd Future, whose trajectory - from self-made mixtapes on Tumblog to a contract with Sony - we have already managed to track. At the same time, out of nowhere, the gold-toothed clown Lil B jumped out and founded an entire based cult: go figure what it is, but it sounds solid - don’t dig it. As soon as something became clear with these people (some are like the Sex Pistols, only smarter, the other is like MC Hammer, only not as funny), another crowd of naked-ass newcomers came running. Without contracts, without labels, without radio hits - but with sparkling eyes, a sick imagination and a desire to show off to all the pitchforks at once. Here are the fashionable syrup lover, and his henchman - Spaceghost Purrp, and the Detroit hipster Danny Brown, whose nasty voice can compete with Lil Wayne, and the Brooklyn drunkard Mr. Muthafuckin" eXquire, who decorated his album with this cover, clearly showing all his priorities.

The list goes on and on, the main thing is that these people feel like they are part of one movement. And not at all because they record tracks with each other, tumblogs are considered an ideal platform for self-expression and the differences between albums and mixtapes are erased. They all look at hip-hop as a field of experimentation, open to all winds and innovations, and in this they probably join the alchemists of the beginning of the last decade - Antipop Consortium, El-P and the Anticonians; except that they don’t write manifestos of intentions. It’s no coincidence that Lil B is a guest on the Sole album, and El-P stars in the same video with Mr. Muthafuckin" eXquire: these people definitely feel a kinship.

Imagine: in one year, a community has formed in hip-hop, separated from the mainstream (even if by a thin partition - labels are already offering contracts to the main stars) and living by completely different rules. It is he who is closely studied by fashionable music sites; it is for him that the label “cloud rap” was invented (from the English “cloud” - “cloud rap”); in fact, an apt and precise name: all these people are hovering, if not in marijuana clouds, then in some very cosmic clouds.

The community is diverse, multi-colored and multi-age - between a white girl of Russian blood and a thirty-year-old drug addict Danny Brown there is a gulf, which is not at all noticeable. The community is extremely prolific - the Oakland duo of dudes with grillz Main Attrakionz have released more releases over the past couple of years than The Roots in their entire career, I’m not talking about Lil B at all. The only thing is that the quantity of music released here greatly affects the quality. To be honest, I rarely had the desire to listen to anything from this whole heap of albums, mixtapes and beattapes. However, you definitely need to try cloud-rap.

If anyone is interested, here you go: a review of some records of the subgenre and a collection of the best tracks from strange newcamers of the year. Fortunately, they send all their releases into free circulation, unintentionally following Lenin’s main directive that art should belong to the people. The revolution will never be shown on television - now it seems that this rule of the late Gil Scott-Heron works one hundred percent.

5 Important Cloud Rap Releases

1. L.W.H. presents "Green Ova Takin Ova 2009 - 2011"

The Green Ova community is to cloud rap what Wu-Fam is to 1990s rock. The online group based around the producer L.W.H has spawned a huge number of releases in a couple of years (if you don’t believe me, check it out), and last year the participants in this movement - Opaklanders Main Attrakionz - received at least some media attention. Digging through all the variety of their mixtapes, solo albums and compilations, we’ll entrust biographers, and for reference, a collection of the best things for two years (and that, by the way, is a two-disc one) will do. All hits under one cover (if, of course, the concept of “hit” somehow relates to these people), cloud rap from its inception to the present day.

2. Danny Brown "XXX"

Let's give the floor to Andrey Nikitin, who vigorously advertised this release to us last year. "Perverse hip-hop from the most perfect (by the standards of a typical Russian rap listener - TRRS) freak in jeans with pipes, with disgusting bangs, with a disgusting voice and with dental problems like the singer Shura. They greet you by their clothes - so, we suspect, that Danny Brown's appearance will immediately make TRRS want to, if not piss on him, then give him bream. But it's enough to make a little effort and it becomes clear that the cheeky Detroit narc has produced exactly the mixtape that they say about. Better Albums". Under the dark beats, Brown's thought, accelerated by drugs, rushes into strange distances and following it is a pleasure. Spin magazine calls this the best rap album of the year; for TRRS this may not be a decree, but a reason to think about it."

3. Clams Casino "Instrumentals", Lil B "I"m Gay" (I"m Happy)

Almost an old-fashioned duet “MC and beatmaker”. According to rumors, it was Lil B who coined the term “cloud rap,” pointing to a picture of clouds and explaining that it was the essence of his music. He illustrated this with the track “I”m God,” the instrumental for which was made by a white medical student working under the pseudonym Clams Casino. A little later it became clear that even without the rapper’s crazy recitatives, these beautiful instrumentals sound great. For last year’s provocative album, the 23-year-old the producer also had a hand, and the tracks with his participation turned out to be the most successful. Consider that the very essence of cloud rap is captured here: an unearthly, weightless and rarefied musical atmosphere.

4.Mr. Muthafuckin eXquire "Lost in Translation"

It’s like a visualization of Sergei Shnurov’s old line “I’m an alcoholic, a fucking moron.” The main sources of inspiration for the densely built New York black man are alcoholic fumes, so his rap comes out a little more assertive and angrier than that of his other “cloud” colleagues. Not the least role in this is played by the production from El-P, Jake One, Esoteric and other good people, who still sound like Los Angeles schoolchildren who have eaten too many mushrooms. Complex gave him first prize for best mixtape cover in 2011; what lies underneath, in our opinion, is much more interesting.

5. Bebetune$ "Inhale C-4 $$$"

James Ferraro's mixtape appeared right at the end of last year. It will take a long time to tell who this is: a cult figure, an American, for a long time specializing in strange music: wonderful ambient, recorded as if from a chewed and half-erased cassette tape. Having become interested in cloud rap, he came up with an alter ego, under which he released a mixtape. It all sounds in the strangest way: Ferraro puts that same cassette dregs on Roland’s drums, lowers the tones, simulating the “chopped & screwed” effect, inserts snippets of auto-tuned vocals, repeats “swag” every other word, has a lot of fun - and makes many rap paranoids about their same field.

The limitedness and flatness of the modern music market in the CIS is largely explained by the fact that the so-called so-called music was present in the USSR throughout its existence. "wall". Although it was purely formal, it actually touched almost every aspect of life. This was especially evident in music - we were always exactly 10 years behind Europe and America, which were progressing in this regard.

When the leading style in the world was thrash metal, we only had echoes of heavy metal, and that was largely stolen and remade in our own way. But it’s yours, dear. But that doesn't concern certain genre, this covers everything that is directly or indirectly related to music.

When another trend is just emerging in our country and people learn about it, it is at the peak of popularity in the parent country. Accordingly, when another style becomes popular in our country, then “over the hill” it by leaps and bounds is on the decline.

That's what happened with retrowave. This happens with cloud rap, although both genres are not independent. They certainly differ from their “fathers” (synthwave and trap, respectively), but not so much that they could be brought into separate genre.

In fact, our mass listener (this is where the emphasis is worth emphasizing) learned about cloud rap with the release of the video “Black Siemens” by Moscow rapper PHARAOH. And away we go. Bright, rude, perhaps ugly, but very truthful about the genre at the moment, says last.fm: “formerly for the elite - now for roosters.”

What is this cloud rap and why is it often singled out as a separate genre of music?

First of all, he is young, his first steps began in the mid-2000s. It is impossible to say specifically who created this style, but the founding fathers and popularizers include: beatmaker Clams Casino and the extravagant and super-productive Lil B. Cloud Rap can be distinguished from other styles of hip-hop music by several characteristics:

1. Instrumental. Beats with a “fairytale, cloudy, sea” atmosphere. Every artist is suitable in this regard differently: specially slowed down to give the music detachment and a feeling of “diving into depth”, or fast (140 -150 bpm) to match trap.

2.Vocals/lyrics. Processed by the most in different ways, special craftsmen record their parts of clean vocals or screams themselves. Here, as in the instrumental, polarity and opposition are preserved. This is either an entertainment component (wasting money, promoting soft drugs or describing parties), or a “dark” side (hatred of the environment and moral principles, the beauty of death, nihilism). It often happens that the semantic load is deliberately absurd and deliberately twisted.

3. Samples. Indie is often found here, experimental music, ambient, glitch or IDM. Bones often samples hardcore tracks in his tracks.

4. Music. The basis is taken from southern rap, most often a Roland TR-808 drum machine and various snare rolls are used.

5.Spreading. Cloud rappers prefer to release their products for free and independently of labels, making huge numbers of mixtapes and distributing them online.

6.Clips. The vaporwave movement is fully represented in the video works: bright poisonous colors, tumblr things and funny jokes, cutting eyes 3D models and VHS effects cassettes.

In the Russian-language segment, a “holy trinity” of clouds has currently formed:

I. Yung Lean (Junatan Hostad Lindoer). A guy from Sweden who is currently not even 20 years old. He came to popularity thanks to Tumblr, his debut mixtape “Unknown Death 2002” and the strange/fun video of the same name. Leader and ideological inspirer of the group “Sad Boys”. Gained particular popularity in Europe.

II. Bones (Elmo Kennedy O'Connor). American, 22 years old. “The Man Who Lives on VHS Tapes.”

“The real white heavy music. A very dynamic and high-quality style,” from Scryptonite’s interview with Maxim magazine.

He reads about what all gangstas are about, but does it in a very unusual way: moving from monotonous muttering, which is akin to the speech of a mentally ill person, to a heartbreaking scream, which is characteristic of extremely severe and emotional music. The only one of the trio, at whose concerts you can see slam / mosh / circle pit / stage dive and other attributes inherent in hardcore / punk concerts. Leader and ideological inspirer of “TeamSESH”. Particularly popular in America.

III. PHARAOH (Gleb Golubin). Muscovite, the same age as Yung Lean, “meme man”, “Bones in Russian” and “skr, skr, skr”. A master of veiled phrases incomprehensible to most listeners, under which ordinary and long-worn themes about “chicks, cars and expensive trinkets” are hidden, but is presented under the theme of death, depression and destruction, which is unusual. Leader and ideological inspirer of the “Dead Dynasty” team.

Today, the “cloud rap” machine is rushing along the hype road in full force. It will be extremely difficult to introduce something new at this speed, and even more so to jump in. This machine has become so popular that it is known almost everywhere, which gives artists of the genre the opportunity to make major tours, reaching a global scale. But the realization that this will not last long is still saddening. Bright to that example - dubstep. It fired, rattled, generated a bunch of third-rate material and sank into oblivion.

Today we will talk about such a new popular and already boring hip-hop genre as cloud rap. We bring you full article on this topic without any cutting or editing. There is a lot of text, but it is worth noting that everything is clearly on the topic. And if you are really interested in this genre, its history and main characters, then you have come to the right place. The chronicle and the most important characters of cloud rap await you in this vast pasta.

Cloud Rap- a relatively recently emerged sub-genre of rap, the distinctive feature of which is calm, slow, so-called “cloudy” instrumental parts, accompanied by life-affirming, entertaining lyrics that do not carry any serious meaning.

The musical accompaniment consists of a beat of 140-150 beats per second (reminiscent of trap) and often wordless vocalizations on one long note, giving a special sound to the composition. Performers promoting cloud rap on the world stage use elements of ambient, idm in their works, and the beat is most often built on the web sound of 808 drum machines and percussion, characteristic of southern hip-hop.

Musicians performing cloud rap do not seek to immerse the listener in serious thoughts and prefer to touch upon topics in their lyrics that are close and understandable to everyone - smoking weed, spending money, expensive cars and other material aspects of reality. At the same time, artists do not strive (at least at initial stage, which interests us) to commercial production, and distribute their creativity via the Internet, posting mixtapes online. This process allows such performers to gain some fame and, in turn, develops the genre, but for now we’ll try to figure out who out of this whole group of ordinary rappers is worthy of attention.

Lil B
The founder of the genre, a rapper from Brooklyn, who rose to fame on the MySpace service, where he created more than 120 pages, each of which he filled with his mixtapes. The PR campaign was successful, the target audience found out about the musician, and now everyone knows that black guys are not evil at all (No Black Personis Ugly). On popular platforms Lil B has 5 million streams and about 200,000 subscribers.

Bones
Previously Th@ Kid. Perhaps one of the most prominent representatives cloud-rap scenes. Known to almost all fans of this genre, the rapper fell in love with the crowd for the underwater sound of his voice and non-naive lyrics that harmoniously fit on a deep beat and relax St. Petersburg party-goers on the subway in the morning. It is he who is known today in Russia almost more than all the others combined, perhaps because he is white. Or maybe for some other reasons. Today BONES travels all over the world and has more than 2 million listeners on popular streams.

A$ap Rocky
Well, you definitely know him. 20 million streams and over a million subscribers, tracks with Skrillex and regular tours - over the past two years, the Harlem rapper has achieved every conceivable success in his genre and has attracted the attention of rap, swag, trap and gold lovers around the world. It remains to be seen what this guy will do with his popularity now.

PHARAOH
Part of the Moscow project Dead Dynasty, he performs according to the subject and wins well-deserved recognition from the audience with his funny lyrics filled with somewhat existential thoughts (Poseidon), interspersed with funny ideas about the revived Marvel heroes (Black Cloak). In terms of sound, the guys do their job competently, and, as a result, they are gaining momentum. Now PHARAOH has 4,200 VKontakte subscribers and regular performances in Moscow clubs (if there are any normal clubs there at all, ho-ho).

Squadda B
A completely normal swag rapper who does nothing but smoke weed and wear a bandana on his head. How anyone will even find out about him (only through his soundcloud account, of course) is a big question. But everywhere indicate an email to which you can send the guy Best wishes. Today his popularity means 5-6,000 subscribers and about 200,000 listeners hungry for new material beyond the album. " I smoke weed because I don't care about death» ( I Smoke Because I Don`t Care About Death).

Yung Lean
Swedish musician who gained popularity thanks to YouTube. Now he has 188,000 subscribers, to whom he posts a new portion of thoughts about Swedish chicks, Swedish grannies and Swedish weed every two or three weeks. Quite original beats and a relaxed rhythm make Yung Lean a completely sane niche artist.

NOK From the Future
An almost invisible American musician who fell in love with her small audience with rather snotty lyrics ( Smoke and Drive) and glossy sound, which is not very characteristic of the chosen format of creativity. He has 3,500 subscribers on soundcloud, and no more than 30,000 listeners on popular streams like last.fm.

Clams Casino
A beatmaker from New Jersey who recorded his instrumental parts for Lil B himself. Until, of course, he rose up himself - now his kaleidoscopic hip-hop with a slightly stumbling rhythm, multi-layered and inverted samples is ready for the audience to accept directly from his pages in soundcloud and other resources. The positive sound and the absence of the usual dominant themes of money and sex in the genre give this performer some originality and make him more noticeable than others.

Xavier Wulf
At first glance, he is an absolutely ordinary swag musician, in whose work there seems to be nothing remarkable. And it cannot be said that this is not true: if anything distinguishes the musician from the rest of his colleagues, it is his penchant for military themes, charismatic vocals and popularity in Russia.

Main Attractions
A band from California, promoted thanks to the support of local labels and a successful PR campaign on bandcamp. Not at all angry black guys play calm, peaceful hip-hop, read about life choice and obstacles along the way - in short, they are not particularly original in their choice of topics. Everything is decided by the beat and sound - this is obviously what the guys fuss with the most, and in the end we hear a pleasant popular product.

Ryan Homsworth
Canadian producer who was born in Scotland. Notable on the cloud-rap scene for its original sound, which differs from others in its melody and calmness. By the way, Ryan’s lyrics are also not entirely typical for the genre, and the manner of performance is completely reminiscent of popular rap. Ryan Homsworth is ideal for listening in the car, distracting you from endless traffic jams and annoying minibuses.

Flatbush Zombies
A group from New York, which compares favorably with its analogues with its brutal pronunciation, ambient sound and more or less intelligent facial expressions. It’s a pleasure to listen to the band, as proven by 2 million listeners on music resources and 500,000 subscribers. The guys are constantly on tour and attract decent crowds. Unfortunately, the team is not very popular in Russia, so it would be naive to expect more arrivals in the near future.

Kitty
An almost unique case: a girl confidently makes her way onto the cloud-rap scene. The performer from Florida creates a very popular and glossy sound, choosing the path of promotion through classical PR rather than in the Internet environment: she periodically appears on Rolling Stone and similar publications, thereby ensuring regular tours, but without much popularity on the Internet - A million plays won't surprise anyone.

SolomonDaGod
Internet producer from the USA, distributing his remixes and mixtapes mainly through soundcloud. An ambitious black guy, who is at the very beginning of his creative journey, attracts the attention of the audience with his frankness and serious dedication. 5,000 subscribers is the very beginning, and we are sure that we will hear him again on the hip-hop scene.

Awkwafina
Awkwafina, an Asian hip-hop artist from New York, earns her popularity through viral videos that she distributes on YouTube. Her lyrics do not sparkle with originality, and the beats are mediocre and boring, but appearance and charisma decide a lot in the genre - and with these two important points Awkwafina certainly has.

Today, the global cloud-rap scene has been finally formed and outlined, and is almost universally known and popular. It is impossible to say that it continues to gain momentum, most likely due to persistent associations with swag and trap, which have been gradually dying out for quite some time (but still cannot die). If we look at longer-term trends, then this sub-genre of rap fits into the general musical trend of the last three to four years that began after dubstep to rethink the role of beat and rhythm. Rethinking the old one way or another gives birth to something new, and we will look forward to this new one, hoping that it will not be based on some kind of web punk.

IN modern world exists huge amount a variety of musical styles, each of which is popular among different generations. Among young people, every year such a style of music as cloud rap is becoming more and more popular. What is it? This will be discussed in the article.

What is cloud rap?

Probably, many people know this style of music as rap. Cloud rap is a variation of it. It differs from its predecessor in particular smoothness. The beats in it are dream-like (usually wordless, in which the singers play some notes, which gives the effect of grandeur).

It is most suitable for calm people. The lyrics are abstract, sometimes even reckless. The main theme is life on the street.

What is "cloud"? This word has many meanings, but the most common of them are the following: cloud, fog, darkness, veil, turbidity. In other words, those people who are in eternal darkness and cannot find even a ray of light in their lives.

Features of writing cloud rap

What are its features? Today, cloud rap is gaining more and more fans, many of them want to try themselves in this style, but have no idea where to start. There are many mediocre cloud rap performers, but every newcomer wants to remain not only in the memory, but also in the hearts of his listeners. To achieve certain results in this field, you need to act according to the following plan:

  1. First, try to write text with meaning, rhyme of any size. Develop your skills speech culture. Read your poems to your listeners; at first, they may just be your friends. After a while, try to come up with a little on the go. Don’t be afraid to improvise, because a real rapper cannot do without this quality.
  2. Pay attention only to constructive criticism.
  3. There is no need to look for special topics that no one has touched on. Read rap about what is around you, in your soul, on your mind. After all, everyone likes simplicity and sincerity. The longer you do this, the more beautiful and better your rap will become.
  4. Particular attention should be paid to rhymes. They should not be precise, but uniquely interesting, so as to attract the listener.
  5. Use hackneyed words less, try to choose non-standard expressions in order to develop your creativity as best as possible.
  6. Your texts should be unpredictable.
  7. Open all sides of your imagination. Listen different performers, V different directions. Then take any poem and remake it to suit your taste and style. Write a fairy tale.
  8. Keep a diary and record all your ideas there, even the most extraordinary ones. This habit will help you see the world around you better.
  9. Consult with professional performer cloud rap. Read the pages of writers, musicians, go to concerts, gain experience from them.
  10. Find what inspires you and create.

Representatives of this field set themselves the goal of inspiring their listeners, and earning money is in the background.

Who reads cloud rap? The performers of this original style of music are as follows:

  • Th@Kid. One of the most prominent representatives of this industry. Known to almost everyone who is interested in this kind of music. • AllINeed. Original performers with positive, but no less serious lyrics. Despite the presence of a variety of songs, they did not achieve much popularity among listeners.

In addition to the above representatives of cloud rap, there are many others, and thanks to the popularity of the style, their number is increasing every day.

The history of rap

You already have an idea of what cloud rap is. Now it's time to talk about the history of its origin. Rap in its current form originated in the 1970s among African Americans. He moved to our country from Jamaica.

Initially it developed as a way to have fun, but over time, DJs began to make money with the help of rap. Then the style became widespread on radio stations.

The apotheosis of the development of the music industry was the emergence of rap battles.

Founders and time of appearance of cloud rap
