The family-creative tandem of Alexandra Pakhmutova and the poet Nikolai Dobronravov, who is over 60 years old, turned out to be unusually productive: they wrote more than 400 songs.

They met in the spring of 1956 and got married in August. We met on the All-Union Radio, in the 9th children's broadcasting studio. At that time, Nikolai Nikolaevich worked at the Moscow Theater for Young Spectators and read his poems in Pioneer Dawn, and Alexandra Nikolaevna wrote music for them. From the children's song "Motor Boat" their joint work began.

This program of 18 songs began to be prepared by the Sretensky Monastery Choir five years ago. In 1915, the choir took part in the creative evening of the composer "At the Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" Alexandra Pakhmutova highly appreciated the arrangements and performance of her creations by the choir. And now the audience again had the opportunity to hear the works of Alexandra Nikolaevna in such an unusual reading. That evening, relatively recently written songs were performed - "Temple on the Blood", "Mother and Son", "Vera" and the popularly beloved "Song - a Tale of Mamaev Kurgan", "Let's bow to those great years" - the audience listened to the last standing. In the second part, the choir performed their favorite folk hits - "How young we were", "Old Maple", "Belovezhskaya Pushcha", "Belarus", "The main thing, guys, is not to grow old with your heart", "Enchanted Distance", "Goodbye, Moscow ", "Under the wing of the plane", "Tenderness" was performed by the male choir of the monastery and the girls' choir "Camerata". Director Tatyana Lioznova asked Pakhmutova to write this song for her film "Three Poplars on Plyushchikha", where the main roles were played by Oleg Efremov and Tatyana Doronina.

In 1974, Pakhmutova chaired the jury at the All-Union Soviet Song Competition, which was held in Minsk. After the competition, the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus, Pyotr Masherov, "kindly and persistently" persuaded Pakhmutova and Dobronravov to go to Belovezhskaya Pushcha, where they had never been. After the tour, the director of the reserve, Boleslavovich, jokingly said that he would not let Dobronravov go until he wrote poems about Belovezhye. The poet composed five stanzas of the poem two days later - the melody was written six months later in Moscow.

In 1975, the famous "Belovezhskaya Pushcha" was created, which became the unofficial anthem and symbol of Belarus. The first to perform the song "Pesnyary" was the Great Children's Choir of the All-Union Radio and Central Television. At a concert in the House of the Unions, this song was performed in the processing of Dmitry Lazarev and was greeted with exclamations of "bravo!"

In the processing of the composer Alexander Amerkhanov, the songs "Belarus" and "Goodbye, Moscow!", written in Moscow in 1980, sounded.

At the end of the evening, Alexandra Pakhmutova, who was with Nikolai Dobronravov in the hall, went up on stage and accompanied the song "Hope", which the choir sang together with the audience.

I saw the skill of the famous choir, felt the soul, heard unique voices, - Alexandra Nikolaevna said enthusiastically. - The choir of the Sretensky Monastery is familiar with world spiritual music, and when the team turned to the song, I was shocked. Thank you for coming to the concert, thank you for not getting tired of the song."

400 songs, music for 20 films, as well as concerts, suites and even ballet. She sat down at the piano for the first time at the age of 3.5. At 5 - wrote the first melody. Now, when the composer is 80, the whole country sings her songs. "Hope", "Tenderness", "And the battle continues again", "Girls", "Belovezhskaya Pushcha" - they are often confused with folk songs. On October 23, these hits will be performed in a new, symphonic arrangement.

She touched the keys of the concert grand piano, and dozens of the orchestra's violins picked up Pakhmut's immortal melody. And you can’t say about this - "She rehearsed." Pakhmutova served as a priest. In the famous fifth studio of the Kultura TV channel, Alexandra Nikolaevna, together with the musicians of the Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Vladimir Fedoseyev, is preparing a unique concert program for her own anniversary.

"This is a big anniversary concert, which will present different genres," says the People's Artist of the USSR, composer Alexandra Pakhmutova. "There will be several compositions. Several songs. And the second part - with symphonic jazz conducted by Sergei Zhilin and with our song performers."

The program - only star songs. "Hope", "Belovezhskaya Pushcha", "Tenderness" and many more that always make the heart ache. Without them, today it is impossible to imagine the era, our common cultural space, youth construction projects, space flights, sports records and the romance of campfires. Songs about which it is correct to say - "They did not grow out of life, but life - from such songs."

“This concert is a call to return to these songs,” says Vladimir Fedoseev, artistic director of the Tchaikovsky Grand Symphony Orchestra. “To songs written by the human soul, with its experiences, historical moments. Especially since we were all brought up on these songs, including and I".

The anniversary concert, designed for several hours, was prepared for more than one day. And it so happened that it took almost 8 decades to comprehend her own work - after all, Alexandra Nikolaevna wrote her first song when she was still a five-year-old girl - it turned out here, in the former House of Radio Broadcasting and Sound Recording on Malaya Nikitskaya, where many of her hits, written in permanent co-authorship, sounded for the first time with her husband Nikolai Dobronravov. By the way, fate brought Alexandra Pakhmutova and her husband together within these walls.

“I read The Pioneer Dawn within these walls,” recalls State Prize winner, poet Nikolai Dobronravov. “Here, in this house, we met Alexandra Nikolaevna.”

Almost 4 hours without pauses. To see how Alexandra Pakhmutova works is a unique opportunity in itself. Pakhmutova does not like publicity during rehearsals and is reluctant to reveal the secrets of creative cuisine. For her, this is a very personal magic, even if she rehearses with a large group. After all, as she herself admits: the moment of preparation is much more important for her than even the concert itself.

"It's more dear to me than even a concert, it's even more colorful - not when everyone is the same, in black tailcoats, but as it is now," explains Alexandra Pakhmutova.

The concert of Alexandra Pakhmutova will take place on October 23 at the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich Danchenko Theater. Viewers will be able to see its television version on the Rossiya TV channel in early November, on the days of the anniversary of Alexandra Nikolaevna.
