Individual dance lessons: why they are needed. This is a great option if you were engaged in one direction of dance and decided to quickly master another.

“Naturally, the most common The stereotype associated with dancing is that it is not a job. When people hear “dancing” when asked about what you do, they nod their heads and immediately add: cool, but seriously what? If we take the club industry, in general, this is really not serious. Dancing for many is just a part-time job, pampering, the dream of all the girls and some guys who, having worked out for six months, strive to perform on stage as soon as possible. This is not professionalism, and the market, especially the market for the now popular go-go trend, is oversaturated with amateurs. You can talk about minimal skill only after several years of working in a club, when you go on stage not just, sorry, shake your ass for money, show off and get random money, but go out and show plasticity, stretching, interesting choreography, in a word, you are already performing qualitatively, as professional performer”, - says Nika Burkat, choreographer of the show project “i basta”.

Meanwhile, earn by dancing- is quite real. However, this requires whole line conditions. First, you need to find your niche in the market, but now many people are stuck in a search state. Others rush into the mainstream - the most popular destinations where they manage to earn exactly as long as the interest in the style does not cool down. On this moment go-go and the so-called Jazz Funk, which is taught in every studio, and often in completely different ways, remains on the rise.

In general, studio studios are different. Engage in a dance school that builds lessons only on learning movements and memorization dance ligaments- road to nowhere. “When a person is not oriented in the dance world and starts from scratch, you can go anywhere, but if you think specifically about the career of a dancer, it is better to go to the studio where they teach not only choreography, but also improvisation, without which it is impossible to become an independent dancer. Ideally, you need to move in parallel in two ways. This takes a lot of time. But to be realistic, in order to develop in dance, it is enough to dedicate at least half an hour a day to self-stretching and improvisation, without missing regular training,” says Nika Burkat.

At the first stage, you do not need to go in cycles at one school and one teacher - it’s better to be like different masters trying to get the best from everyone. It is the teacher who largely depends on the successful transition from dance hall to the club scene. Many studios are already cooperating with clubs, so if you prove yourself in training, you can count on subsequent employment. Clubs also hold battles - competitions of dancers, the winners of which are often invited to stay in the club to work. “Another option to find a job is to go to auditions. You need to come there on time, in decent shape, taking a swimsuit or suit with you. During the casting, applicants come out one at a time and improvise to the music for a while,” says Nika.

“Good money can be made if you work with pop stars. If we take, for example, America, then dancers are valued much higher there. There are more opportunities in the States, many places where you can really study and really work! We have great amount no dancers vocational education in general, but at the same time they make good money in their profession! After all, those trends that are now in fashion do not have to be mastered from childhood, ”says Mikhail Garipov, artistic director OTON team, founder own style Show-Style, graduate of Bard college of New York and Broadway Dance Center.

In St. Petersburg, the price tag for the services of dancers varies markedly. Taking advantage of the unprofessionalism of novice performers, clubs can offer ridiculous money - 500-700 rubles per night of work. But experienced performers sometimes get up to several thousand for 3-4 exits. The most expensive direction is, of course, the strip. Even novice dancers without much experience and outstanding choreography can earn 1,500 - 2,000 for a couple of 3-minute exits.

Those who care about the club scene but does not bring sufficient income, they are served in related areas. “Dancers work in fitness centers, go to choreographers in dance studios. Many are engaged in tailoring and selling dance costumes, participate in photo shoots, advertising, try their hand at club promotion or organizing events. Abroad, you can earn much more - but there people devote their lives only to dancing. If we talk about big money, they are received by those who have already reached a certain level and now travel around the world with master classes,” summarizes the choreographer of the “i basta” show project, Nika Burkat.

website: How would you describe the style in which you dance?

I started my career with oriental dancing. In the process, she mastered other directions. Then it became interesting to bring in dance something new and personal. I like to combine several styles from different dance cultures in one act. For example, combine elements of technical modernity with its broken movements and harsh funk, and add fire show elements to the dance. It turns out a number that is special in terms of energy, groovy and bewitching.

In my numbers I try to play on contrasts. Thus, the combination of masculine elements and feminine plasticity in a compartment creates a very strong and energetic, but at the same time gentle and a little mysterious effect.

There are many driving numbers in my repertoire, which, it seems to me, reflect a strong and integral Russian character.

In performances, I often use various props, which also help to convey feelings, the expression of the dance.

I approach the choice of music very carefully: I prefer unusual melodies that charge emotionally.

website: Your repertoire includes a fluorescent show. What it is?

During the fluorescent show, costumes with reflective elements and reflective props are used. Such numbers are performed on a dark stage using ultraviolet lighting.

The fluorescent show allows you to create a stunning visual effect: the image, music and the movement of light in the dark always captivate and attract viewers. Such a performance will add sophistication to any holiday, but the fluorescent show is especially great for corporate parties.

website: What rooms would you recommend for a wedding?

Oriental dancing- it's always a mystery and romance. They can perfectly complement the wedding celebration. Right now I am working on a number for the competition, which will combine elements of plastic and graceful Belly Dance and energetic modernity. This number can also decorate the wedding program.

website: Who is involved in staging dances and how are ideas for numbers born?

staging dancing I do it myself. It often happens that you just like music, it evokes some kind of image. Sometimes an idea dance hatched for several months, and sometimes - the number is born in 2 weeks. It also happens that a task is set and you need to compose for a certain period some number.

website: Share your plans for the future.

I want to further develop as a dancer, create new dance numbers using different styles. Yes, in dancing I plan to include fire show elements. And, of course, I would like to perform more on stage, participate in different competitions to improve your dancing skills.

Now, together with a fire show partner, we are working on a new number. We work with a choreographer, master complex lifts, come up with interesting elements in working with implements. The combination of choreography and fire show is new, promising direction, which is just beginning to gain momentum in our Nizhny Novgorod, and we are very interested in working in it. We hope to please the audience by May new production, driving music and bright costumes.

Dance classes are great sports training beneficial effect on the body and emotional condition. Among other things, they develop communication skills, allow you to communicate with like-minded people, find friends of interest, exchange experiences with dancers more high level. However, more and more people who want to dance prefer individual lessons to group ones. What is the reason? There are several situations where individual dance lessons can be most effective and beneficial.

1. Individual lessons help to join the group.

They are needed for beginners who do not have dance training and cannot go to group classes, as they lag behind the rest in their level. Also needed are those who are only suitable for a certain training time and a certain schedule, and whose level at the same time does not reach the level of the rest of the dancers in the group. In these cases, thanks to intensive individual lessons, the student has a real opportunity to quickly and efficiently raise his dance level and his skills. Having worked out the basic dance elements with the teacher, you can join the group classes that interest you.

2. This is a great option if you were engaged in one direction of dance and decided to quickly master another.

In this case, in the beginners' group, you will be bored, and the classes will go at a pace that is too slow for you. A series of individual lessons will help you quickly get up to speed, master the chosen direction and join group classes in it. The teacher, taking into account your dancing experience, will help you achieve maximum results, presenting information so that you can learn the lessons, quickly develop in the right direction and, having joined a group of experienced dancers, continue to master the dance skills.

3. Individual dance lessons are an opportunity to achieve significant results in a short period of time.

In such classes, each student is assigned individual approach and information is presented depending on its capabilities, abilities and preparedness. The teacher arranges his lessons in such a way as to most effectively convey knowledge in those volumes and sequences that will help the student most productively get used to the chosen dance direction. Although individual lessons with a professional trainer will cost you more than classes in a group, they will bring the desired effect and the necessary skills very quickly.

4. Necessary for successful preparation for an educational institution or performance.

Individual sessions indispensable if you plan to enter the choreographic educational institution if you are preparing to perform at a concert, show. Or you may need a dance for some event: a holiday, celebration, party, or just to please loved ones. Classes alone with the teacher will help you quickly and efficiently achieve your goal, getting the maximum benefit and mastering the skills you need. One of the main advantages of such lessons is the ability to quickly get the maximum feedback from the coach about the quality of his dancing, about mistakes and achievements. In individual lessons, all the attention of the teacher will be focused only on you and the features of your body and capabilities.

5. Individual lessons are the key to successful preparation for sports competitions.

Lessons alone with the teacher will help the dancer quickly correct the shortcomings and significantly improve his level. The coach, having drawn up an individual development program taking into account the characteristics of a student or a couple, will be able to increase the level of dancing and training in a short period of time: correct errors in technique, correct shortcomings in the performance of dance elements, help develop acting skills and lay down further development prospects. Thus, it will prepare you for the dance tournament in the most efficient way. It is important to listen carefully to the advice of the teacher and in free time also hone your knowledge and skills so that classes bring the maximum effect.

Both individual and group lessons are extremely important for dancers and are most effective in their totality, since they are based on different goals. The main thing is to clearly define for yourself what results you would like to achieve and what goal you are striving to achieve. IN different situations and circumstances, with due perseverance and diligence, both group and individual classes will bring significant results, the main thing is not to be lazy and devote yourself entirely to the chosen business!
