Katya, what happened to her. Which concert do you remember the most? Katya Ogonyok - Victim of chanson

Singer Katya Ogonek in the early 2000s was known as one of the most famous performers chanson on national stage. Unfortunately, Katya left this world too soon. She died at the age of 31 in 2007. Numerous obituaries dedicated to the singer featured a variety of reasons explaining her so sudden death.

Christina from Krasnodar region

Kristina Penkhasova (that was the real name of the singer) has been distinguished by artistry since childhood. She attended music school, danced and sang. Christina dreamed of big stage, therefore, after the prom, she immediately left her native Krasnodar Territory to the capital. Penkhasova was lucky: the Soyuz Production recording company organized a competition for performers of songs in the chanson genre. Christina won the competition. Soon she became known throughout the country under the name Katya Ogonyok.
Concerning personal life, then the singer got married early and after 3 years life together separated from her husband. Katya had no more official marriages. For several years she cohabited with boxer Levan Kayava. In 2001, Ogonyok gave birth to civil husband daughter Leroux. And after 6 years, Katya was gone.

Causes of death

In connection with the death of Katya Ogonyok, many publications were limited to short biography artist and the wording "died after a long illness." From the details of the death of the singer, most of the means mass media chose to avoid. Although some sources reported that Ogonyok died of cardiac arrest. At that moment, Katya was already in the hospital for the 6th day. She was brought there when the woman had an epileptic seizure. She suffered from epilepsy since childhood.
Later, other notes began to appear in the press. They said that Katya Ogonyok died of acute heart failure, as well as pulmonary edema and kidney problems. In addition, according to some publications, one of the main factors that led to the death of a star was cirrhosis of the liver diagnosed in Katya. This disease, as you know, is often “earned” by people who have been abusing alcohol for many years.

About alcohol addiction

Rumors that the Twinkle is too often and in large quantities drank alcohol, they still go. It is now impossible to confirm or refute them. Only the singer herself knew about the presence or absence of any addictions. Even already being a famous performer, Katya lived modestly and closed. All the years that Ogonyok spent in Moscow, she lived in a rented apartment and tried not to let anyone get too close to her.
Nevertheless, Katya still managed to talk a little about herself in a few interviews. To direct questions from journalists about bad habits, Ogonyok always answered that she did not use drugs and alcoholic drinks drinks infrequently.
Katya's daughter Lera took her mother's pseudonym, Ogonyok, and now she also sings chanson.

Katya Ogonyok (Kristina Evgenievna Penkhasova), she is Christina Pozharskaya (Bogdanova), she is Masha Sha.

She was born on May 17, 1977 in the resort village of Dzhubga, Tuapse District, Krasnodar Territory, which is located 80 km from Tuapse, on the shore of a small bay. Mother Tamara Ivanovna - a former dancer, danced at the National Honored academic ensemble dance of Ukraine them. Pavel Virsky. Father Evgeny Semenovich - a musician, worked in the VIA "Gems". Then the family moves to the city of Kislovodsk. Christina graduated from the ninth grade high school, studied ballet, graduated from the music and choreographic schools there.

The singer's career began with the fact that producer Alexander Kalyanov and poet Alexander Shaganov heard her demo recordings, Christina was invited to work in the 10A group (the tenth "A"), which resulted in a move to Moscow. First professional experience she received by writing under the pseudonym Kristina Pozharskaya the songs of the author Alexander Morozov.

For some time, Katya sang in the group of Mikhail Tanich "Lesopoval", but very quickly left the band.

The pseudonym "Spark" was born in 1995, when Vyacheslav Klimenkov, who at that time created new project in the chanson genre, invited Katya as a singer. In the same year, Katya won the Russian chanson competition and began performing on stage. Since then, the singer has performed with songs in the chanson genre, toured a lot, and released several albums.

In 1998, the album "White Taiga" was released. The project was a resounding success, the album was re-released and a remix album of these songs was made separately.

At the same time, a disc with "hard" humor was released under the pseudonym Masha Sha "Rubber Vanyusha", the songs were written by Mikhail Sheleg. Already by 2000, Katya earned wild popularity among listeners and colleagues on the stage.

In 2000, the bard Leonid Sergeev released a parody album "Katya Fitilek".

In 2000, a producer, Vladimir Chernyakov, began working with Katya.

Over the years, 10 albums have been released, and countless compilations.

She was divorced, raised her daughter Valeria.

October 24, 2007 Katya died after a long illness, was buried in Moscow, at the Nikolo-Arkhangelsk cemetery. The six-year-old daughter Valeria was left an orphan ... Katya Ogonyok was only 30. The plans included the release of a new album, "You are in my heart", for which Katya managed to record several songs. The album was released posthumously in 2008.

In a number of early interviews, the singer claimed that she allegedly served her sentence in prison:

"To be honest, I would not like to talk about it in detail. It's hard to remember. I was convicted under Article 211, part two (then they changed it to part three). In principle, there is nothing wrong with this article, it just happened bad story associated with the machine. In general, an unexpected situation. I spent two years in distant places. I fell under an amnesty - parole, rather not even for exemplary behavior, but for good singing. (Smiling.) There is also a club, amateur performances. The equipment, of course, is at the school level, but still ...

There she recorded some songs on a cassette recorder, mostly pop hits, and handed them over to her parents. My dad took this film to Moscow and showed it to the producers from Soyuz Production. They became interested in me and came to the area with a professional port studio, where we, having received permission, recorded the album "White Taiga" for two weeks. I performed songs by Slava Klimenkov, a Moscow author, written especially for me. There were four months left before release.

Thanks to everyone who believed in me, but most of all I am grateful to my father. He is very active person, I wanted to help my daughter in trouble, and found this original form support.

My producers did not immediately pick up a repertoire for me, but, having appreciated my hoarse timbre (I don’t fake it - I say exactly the same in life!), They realized that pop music will not work here, and those who sing "true-la-la" enough without me."

This version has been widely circulated in the media. Subsequently, the singer stopped mentioning the "prison experience", and the producer V. Chernyakov finally refuted this legend after the singer's death.

“It's like in the movies: she played a role that became her essence,” recalls Klimenkov. "She forgot about her real name and surname and became Katya Ogonyok. She even changed her passport. The legend has become a reality - this happens extremely rarely, but it happens," he adds.

Once, an 18-year-old girl came to Vyacheslav Klimenkov's studio, who was immediately put in front of a microphone and asked to sing the convict song "White Taiga". And she sang, although she had never been in the zone and could not know about towers, thorns and loneliness! So another star appeared in Russia - Katya Ogonyok. Katya has been gone for more than ten years, but a girl is singing again in the same studio. This is her daughter Lera. And Lera has one dream: for her mother’s songs to continue to sound, and for her grandparents who raised her to become at least a little easier. "Storm" talked to the singer to find out how she lived all these years and why she also chose chanson.

Lera, you recently recorded the song “Songs of my mother”. Is it possible to consider her statement that the case of Katya Ogonyok will be continued?

Exactly. This song is very symbolic: while recording it, I wanted to say that my mother is still remembered and sung, and I also remember her and love her very much! I think we even look alike. I don’t know how outwardly, but in character - one to one.

- What was she like?

Honest and fair! She really did not like lies and, if she understood that a person was deceiving her, she could immediately put him in his place. She didn’t lie to anyone, she didn’t say anything behind her back. Sometimes she was strict, but it was always justified by something. For example, if she did not want to take me on tour, then only because nothing happened while she was on stage. Well, I was very small, I ran after her with a ponytail, and what about children during concerts? But sometimes my mother thawed and said: “Well, okay, let's go!”

What concert do you remember the most?

I don’t remember where it was, but at that performance one of the fans gave my mother a soft toy, and she told me right from the stage: “Lerka, come here!” - and then gave it to me. It was Teddy bear. So many years have passed, but I remember this moment as if it were only yesterday.

Did you miss her when you had to stay at home?

And she missed, and roared, and rolled tantrums. Where is mom? I want to mom! Give it back to me! I got so used to her being constantly on the road that, seeing her, the first thing I asked was what gifts she brought me, and then when she should fly back. Sometimes the plane was already in two hours.

And here's more about gifts ... She brought them to me in whole bags! Beautiful bright clothes, toys - she wanted me to have everything. Mom took the same bags to orphanages. She said that when she looked at abandoned children, she wanted to cry because they were all alone. They think that their parents are about to come and take them home, but no one comes.

When Katya passed away, your grandparents took you away. How did they react when they found out that you also want to become a singer? Didn't answer?

Vice versa. Hearing me sing (I was probably about twelve then), my grandfather himself took me to the studio of Vyacheslav Klimenkov, with whom he had preserved a good relationship. Before that, Vyacheslav produced my mother. I remember that I was very scared: she was a professional, and who am I? A little girl who knows almost nothing! But, when we recorded the song "Veterok", we realized that this is mine and we must continue.

Successful singers who sing chanson can be counted on the fingers: Uspenskaya, Vaenga, Tishinskaya. Didn't want to take on something more youthful?

So far, only chanson exists for me. Moreover, this year I am waiting for big event: participation in the festival "Ehh, Razgulyay!". Maybe someday I will want to experiment, but for now I decided to follow the path of my mother and not turn anywhere. I'm 17, I want to sing about romance, not chase what's trendy.

Some chanson artists, such as the Butyrka group, in pursuit of popularity, came up with a legend that they were sitting in the zone. Didn't they offer it to you?

It seems to me that that chanson no longer exists. It used to be that artists were evaluated from a position - they sat or did not sit, and it was considered cool if you sing about a zone or crime. Now all the songs in this genre are mostly about love or loneliness. Therefore, another myth was invented for me: that I went into chanson against the will of my parents. Allegedly, they really didn’t want this, but I still ran to the studio and recorded songs. At least it was more believable - no one would have believed that a 12-year-old girl had already served time in the zone.

- Katya Ogonyok sang about Siberian snowstorms, young children, convoy. What will her daughter Lera sing about?

So far all my songs are either about broken love, or about parting, and what will happen next ...

Have you ever wanted to perform the same “White Taiga”? The song that your mother sang at about your age when she came to Klimenkov?

- "Taiga" - not yet, but we already had thoughts of recording the songs of composer Alexander Morozov "Cherry Mist", "Midshipman" and "Engagement Ring", which my mother performed when she was 16-17 years old. It seems to me that her fans will be interested to hear them in a new sound, and at the same time to see what her daughter has become - that little Lerka in a dress and with pigtails, looking at the stage from behind the scenes.

- Do you have any idols yourself? I mean, in chanson. Maybe Alexander Rosenbaum or Mikhail Shufutinsky?

Rather, there are those with whom I communicate very well. For example, Ekaterina Golitsyna, Zheka, the wife of Mikhail Krug - Irina. Actress and singer Lyudmila Sharonova supports me very much, she close person for our family. All of them were acquaintances of my mother, and I am glad to see and talk with them once again. Usually this happens at some general concerts.

Perhaps a very personal question, but who helped you? Mom was gone, only grandparents remained ... How did you live all these years?

From chanson - almost none. My family was helped only by Elena Beider, who knew my mother closely, and now became my director. She loves me very much and forbids almost nothing. And so ... we were alone. And it was very hard for us.

- And what is special?

When my mother passed away, I was only six, and my parents had to raise me somehow ...

Lera Ogonek with her grandfather and director Elena Beider

- Parents - are you talking about grandparents?

About them. And I'm a girl, I wanted to nice clothes to keep up with the other guys in the class, and some sweets, but there was no money for this. Grandfather used to work in restaurants, but then his legs began to ache, and he could no longer do it. Everything fell on the grandmother. If not for my fees, she would now have to support our entire family alone.

- Perhaps that is why you want to start an adult life as soon as possible?

Yes, because I really want to help them! I am very worried that so far there is little I can give them, but everything is in my hands. I tell them: “Be patient at least a year. I will do everything, we will still have everything! I will shower you with gifts, just like my mother did when she was alive. Everything you can!"

- In this case, they usually come up with some kind of dream and do everything to make it come true.

And she already has it: to take them to Spain. Once upon a time, my mother dreamed of buying a house there, but she did not succeed: she died. So the first thing I would do is exactly this: I took my grandparents to where the sun and the sea are, and we would never grieve with them. Grandma believes in it. “Well, you told us that we will have everything,” she says. “Then it will be true.” And I answer: “I will do everything so that you no longer grieve!”

By the way, in parallel with music lessons, I study in college. I will be an investigator. Creativity is creativity, and one more profession does not hurt. In addition, it is very interesting - to unravel, to learn, to try to explain the chain of events.

- Lera, but when you feel sad, who do you go to first?

Of course, to the parents, because they will always listen and understand. I also have a photo of my mother at home. I look at her, turn on her songs - and I understand that in fact she is always with me!

Katya Ogonek - Russian singer who performed compositions in the chanson genre. The author of such hits as "Katya", "I'm jealous", "Northern Night" and many others. Although Russian chanson- the genre is traditionally not female, Katya managed to win the trust of his connoisseurs.

The lyrics of her songs were devoid of vanity and triviality, the soulful manner of performance could hook and warm even the most frozen soul, and her stage image was completely devoid of "stardom" and pathos.

Childhood and youth

The real name of the singer is Kristina Evgenievna Penkhasova, she was born in a small village on the Black Sea coast in creative family. Her father, Evgeny Semenovich, is a musician and composer, performed at the VIA "Gems". Mom, Tamara Ivanovna, is a professional dancer, artist of the Virsky Ensemble.

When the girl was six years old, the family moved to Kislovodsk. There, parents sent Katya to a music school and a choreographic studio, as they dreamed of seeing her as an artist in the future.

The father made every effort to get his daughter used to good music, bought her a tape recorder and personally selected recordings of famous world performers and composers. Girl with early years well versed in jazz, loved and knew classical music.

IN adolescence Christina actively participated in amateur performances, performed at discos, sang in local pop groups. But she could not boast of good academic performance and exemplary behavior: she could break raw eggs on a school battery to disrupt a lesson, or to burn a class magazine.

Musical career

At the age of 16, Kristina moved to Moscow and, thanks to her father's connections (he was familiar with the songwriter Alexander Shaganov, who wrote Kristina's debut song), she "lit up" on television, singing a duet with the then super popular pop singer Zhenya Belousov.

After this performance, the composer Alexander Morozov became interested in the girl and offered her cooperation. A year later, their joint album was released, which turned out to be quite successful. At the same time, she performed as part of the 10A group and for some time collaborated with the Lesopoval team and was in good standing with its leader Mikhail Tanich.

Katya Ogonyok - "Katya"

But gradually Christina began to move away from pop music towards chanson, which was closer and more understandable to a hooligan with a rebellious disposition and a characteristic hoarseness in her voice. Since 1995, she began to cooperate with Mikhail Sheleg, changed her name to creative pseudonym Masha Sha (Mikhail called himself Misha Sha) and released two albums: “Misha + Masha = Sha!” and "Masha-sha - rubber Vanyusha."

But the producer Vyacheslav Klimenkov made her famous, who invited the singer to his project "White Taiga". In 1998, he came up with a legend about the prison past for the girl, gave her a new name, Katya Ogonyok, and developed a musical concept for her further work. Katya's fictional biography was as follows: she was allegedly convicted under Article 211 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (hijacking an aircraft, train or water transport) and served behind bars for 2.5 years, after which she was released on parole due to her interest in prison amateur performance.

Katya Ogonyok - "I'm jealous of you"

Katya so organically got used to her new look, which instantly won the love and trust of the public interested in chanson and prison themes. After the release of two joint albums (“White Taiga” in two parts) about separation and sadness, sung without “female” platitudes and trifles, incredibly heartfelt and sincere, Katya woke up famous.

Her performances caused great delight, and the audience was ready to stand in the aisles at concerts, just to look at the singer with one eye, performing songs so close and understandable to them with a soulful, hoarse voice.

Katya Ogonyok in the program "Old Record"

Two years later, Katya decided that she was ready to go on an independent voyage, broke off the contract with Klimenkov and began working with Vladimir Chernyakov. She went headlong into tour activity, traveled half the world, released several more albums.

Personal life of Katya Ogonyok

At the age of 19, Katya officially married a childhood friend whom she waited for from the army. Three years later, the couple broke up, and in 2001 the singer gave birth to baby Lera from the boxer Levan Koyava, with whom she lived in a civil marriage.

I remember it like it was yesterday. Hot summer day. Ryazansky prospect, tone-studio "SOYUZ". We are waiting for 18-year-old Kristina Penkhasova, with whom we, by prior arrangement, wanted to try to sing the album "White Taiga" under the name "Katya Ogonyok". We must also remember that initially male performers tried to sing "White Taiga", now we will not name all these famous surnames, to nothing. I don’t remember who first came up with the idea to try a girl, the topic is harsh, not easy. But clearly, I remember that as soon as the word “girl” sounded, Elena Vladimirovna immediately suggested a pseudonym: “Katya Ogonyok”. From where, today she herself does not really know. But after many years, her recollection is this: “I would like the White Taiga to be sung by a girl with a very bright, warm name and last name."

When Christina arrived, went up to the microphone, a miracle happened. From the first take, immediately, she sang the proposed song, as if she sang such material all her small life. We were destined to record 3 albums with her: "White Taiga 1" (and full version of this album), "White taiga 2" and "White taiga 3" ...

And now, after 20 years, Lera Ogonyok, Katya's daughter, stood up to the microphone at the new SOYUZ tone studio on Sadovnicheskaya Street. True, Lera is now 16 years old. I don't take it separate story. Now we are not talking about big long-term contracts yet, Lera is still a very young girl. But the cooperation between Lera Ogonyok and Soyuz Production began.

We will record a number of songs in which we will try to find Lera's vocal concept, as well as the sound concept of the new project as a whole. There are many options, the girl is talented and can sing almost anything. Of course, we are not talking about the "convict" topic now. In our opinion, this should be a modern stage in best sense this direction. The musical concept is as follows: a light modern pop song with courtyard intonations. As distant analogues, one can consider “The wind blew from the sea” (Natalie), “Smoke of menthol cigarettes” (Nancy), “White Roses” (Tender May).

And we emphasize once again that our company has never made projects of the so-called "pop music" (these performers will not be listed on these pages). But it’s also clear that you don’t need to do something completely adult.

We would really like people's producers to express their opinion about the Lera Ogonyok project: how they see what they think, what songs they would see sung by this performer. WITH today we add the “icon” of Lera Ogonyok on our “People's Producer”, and we are waiting for the material, as well as producer proposals from folk producers.

Once again I am convinced that life is a spiral going up, and everything in this life periodically repeats itself, having passed the circle. Or maybe it starts over. Whether people draw conclusions from passing these circles is a question.

As an author and producer, I really appreciate working with Katya Ogonyok on the White Taiga albums. This is a whole layer of both my life and the life of the company. In fact, it was our first big project, which we started doing completely from scratch. Leroy today is still a brand, and a good school.

Let's try. God willing, everything will work out.

Sincerely, Vyacheslav Klimenkov and the Production Group.

P.s. It is not necessary to place on the site texts and songs that have already been offered on the site at some time. No need to offer here texts and songs that did not suit others. OUR projects. Those that were offered to someone else on the side, and did not pass, and were not shown on our site, you can safely offer, but be careful about the concept described in this publication.
