Target my work is to trace the stages of the emergence and development of Russian names and surnames on the example of the surnames and names of classmates and my own.

research on this topic, and, secondly, its results may be of interest to others. Scientists - anthroponyms (anthroponymy is a science that studies personal names, patronymics, surnames, nicknames, pseudonyms of people, etc.) emphasize that the study of the origin of names and surnames can provide useful information for both historians and researchers of the Russian language, i.e. To. some words that disappeared from modern language, could be preserved in surnames. By examining such words, we can also restore some details of the life of our ancestors. Russian anthroponymists have been studying Russian surnames relatively recently; among the works devoted to this topic, one can name the Dictionary of Russian Onomastic Terminology by N.V. Podolskaya. From it I managed to find out that the first Russian surnames are found in the ancient Russian documents of the 15th century that have come down to us, but they could have existed earlier. In the 19th century, almost every Russian already had a surname. But they received strict heredity and legal security in 1930.
Relevance research work is that many of the fifth graders surveyed would like to know about the origin of their surname, since it has now become fashionable to be interested in their ancestors, to compile a family (genealogical) tree.The surname is the family's ancestral name.
